It's been moving along pretty quickly. There's a ton of minor things I'll have to tackle later but my main goal is to use it some this summer/fall!

7:28 you should go back and raise the body as high as it is on the lift here. That looks mean as heck lmao. Put some 44" mud tires on there and take that thing anywhere.. :P

Idk, might need to do this with another one that's 4 wheel drive!

I prefer to start with the frontal and cab

The bed was just easier to move around first, gave me the ability to pull the frame out from under the cab that way. Not sure how I would have done the cab first without a two post lift lol

A frame - lift of cab can be done....
Buy starting with nose - you place radiator where needed, and placement of wheel center line is known - if you need you can make adjustments of placement of Radiator by modify core surport.
Then you move cab forward - modify trans tunnel and fire wall...
The bed is last - this let you modify the bed to fit, or add a little bit to the frame...
You could always just add a little bit or remove a little bit from nose & hood - just as easily as the bed....
Good job - back in the day, the best way to get a low ride truck was to place it on a station wagon frame 🤔🐺...
Most would do a F-body sub frame conversion and if going 💯 correct....
with a modified rear frame 4 link set up.
Making cab mounts is not hard - but it does require a little bit of skill...
PS - remove doors from cab - this let's you enter cab to make modifications to trans tunnel and firewall (*especially) easier...
Put a stock '76 350 Chev up front of a 69 bug with custom build frame and firewall... Louvered hood and custom build radiator, used mustang 2 front end and Ford rear end.
Would burn a new set of tires clear off -
Made a wheel standing drag car out of a Celica - 455 Oldsmobile Toronado placed in the trunk - spilt car in half to wedge it and raked the roof 5" ...
That thing was a pain in the ass to get right...
The best was the pinto wagon that I made in to a ( ranchero ) - V8 with side pipes...
Their have been others - 😁

What year dodge frame did you use?

    • @StateFun
      @StateFun  2 роки тому

      91. If I was going to do it again I would probably shorten the frame that 4 inches difference between the dodge wheelbase and the c20 wheelbase.
