Memphis needs more positivity. I'm happy the convocation returned to the Cook/Canon/Renaissance convention center. Also congrats to Bishop Michael Golden repping my state the VA Commonwealth. I believe my area falls under another jurisdiction, as we are close to rural areas in West Virginia. In fact, the nearest COGIC to me, according to Google, is no less than a 90 minute drive outside my area. Beckley WV has the Good Samaritan church. Giles County VA has the Goodwill COGIC in Eggleston. And Radford COGIC. Both Goodwill and Radford are in the VA New River Valley, not far from the city of Roanoke, the biggest city near me, and a COGIC city, I'm sure of that. I plan to move to that area. I live to the southwest in the mountains of Tazewell County. We have a few Assemblies of God, Church of God, one Pentecostal Holiness called Destiny Outreach, but no COGIC. The nearest one is over an hour drive from me, as i said earlier. I pray the convocation was blessed. It blessed me to watch services on UA-cam.

Nor was I expecting to hear the HYMNS, “All Hail the Power of Jesus Name”….”Holy,Holy, Holy”! This reminds me of the AME Zion Annual Conferences. Only difference here, I see NO female pastors, which is not a bad thing.
Acolytes, Right Reverend's, First Assistant's, Most Reverend, none of these titles or positions in scripture. The only Reverend in scripture ( Psalm 111:9 ) is God . In Revelation 4:8 Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. That praise is only for the Infinite God not to be bestowed on a man. COGIC is lost.
