So much has changed since I used to spot along the linepath at Brookmans Park. Can remember steam but by the time I started spotting it was Deltics , 47s and '37s on express work and '31s and DMUs on suburban works displace themselves by HSTs and 225s and 313s and 312s respectively and now a new generation of EMUs and the new Azumas. I do understand that the railway has to move on but I think the railway was a lot more interesting in the sixties and early seventies.
That’s like a time warp a Deltic at Brookmans Park. Love the mixed BR coaching stock. Modern train spotting is really boring. I’ve seen no freight trains.
