So glad you made this &the other Mrs.Dalloway videos. This style of writing was difficult for me.The stream of consciousness writing.Who is talking? Whose thoughts? I will have to re read later on.
@ClairFenby, About 30% are English, the rest are not ! To hear an English accent one has to go to certain "high places" and even their the language has changed. Alas, unless you love in Britain it is difficult to understand the demographically change and authenticity of a country. All the Best.
I'm 51, and have been a reader my whole life, but for some reason have never read Virginia Woolf. Until today. Just finished A Room Of One's Own (read on audiobook by the wonderful Natalie Dormer) and it is wonderful. Got a bit emotional at the end, as where I am in my life and really made me think. Look forward to reading more Virginia Woolf and may even collect the lovely Penguin Deluxe editions of her works 🙂 ♥
what a wonderful, wonderful video! thank you so much for taking us along on this walk. we haven‘t been able to travel for 3+ years now and probably won‘t for another few years and we miss it, and especially our frequent trips to the UK so so much. this video made me quite sad - but in a good way. ❤️ lots of love, monica 📚🐾🐾
Ahh how beautiful ❤️ I've only been down to London once, but Woolf really captured something of the feeling of place didn't she? This helped me see that so clearly. I only read Mrs Dalloway for the first time last year, on a whim almost, but I feel like it's always been in my life... Or at least, waiting. Though I suppose that's the beauty of classics
What a beautiful video, Claire your voice is so soothing. I’ve never read Mrs Dalloway, but you’ve convinced me to pick it up. Lucia 😊ps - I think you should do more readings, gorgeous
You've helped me pick my next audiobook. Can't believe I haven't gotten it yet. I love this book so much and I've always loved your videos about this book.
Geeze, this made me emotional! Very beautiful. I must pick up Mrs. Dalloway again. I picked it up a few years ago but couldn't get into it, but it seems it might now be exactly what I need.
"That's what she loved: life, London, this moment of June". That's was a wonderful walk. Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching 💗
I am in love.

As an American, I don’t hear a British accent when I read, but it sure makes a difference! A very good one!
Ahaha amazing!
