- An oral history of the Caribbean island of Grenada, by Joachim (Sonny) Mark. Sonny describes the history from the first settlers through colonialism, slavery, the push for West Indian Federation, and finally independence. He also details the contributions of notable historical figures including Fedon, Donovan and Marryshow. He goes into the history of carnival, the Catholic church, and certain families who made significant contributions to the church.
The history, however, does not include any information regarding the 1983 revolution and the subsequent U.S. intervention

Thank you very much for this extremely interesting history of my island - Grenada. Francis Noel of whom you spoke was my grandfather and I learned a great deal from you about him and his contribution to the history of St. Andrew's. Thank you for this insight into our family and regional history. It warmed my heart.
Thanks for the history that's very educational some of which I remember
Excellent piece of work Mr. Vincent. You both must be congratulated, for had you not recorded it, the history would have lost with the death of Mr. Mark.. He was a very versatile man.who lived on Fountain Ave, in Brooklyn and worked on building Linden Boulevard..

Thank you for the information provided. I am from St Andrew and was not aware of most of this history. Actually I attended St Joseph convent Grenville but never aware of its beginning. I am going to assume that you are part of the Vincent family that has contributed tremendously to the development of St Andrew. Please continue to post these very important historical videos.
Thank you for such a wealth of information. I am going to share the information with my friends and family this information should be written also and should be taught in schools. It is so sad to see generation after generation learning the same false and watered down history year after year.
Lastly the person that post the information Roy Vincent I see we share the same surname, we should communicate one day via email since we may just be related. I am from Grenville.
