I have a question for you, do you think having your own playstyle takes you to high elo? I see you and Odysseus and I see that even though you are both otp taliyah, you play and build completely differently, and yet you are successful, would this be the way to reach high elo?

Yes, that is a tough question. One one hand, there are definitely good plays and bad plays, but they are also on a scale from very bad to very good. It is not black and white, and I think there are multiple possible good styles. So you need to find a balance of being still objective in making good decisions and having an effective style of play while also playing in a way that makes sense and feels good to you. It's a very tricky balance.

Ok this is honestly a question I had for a game recently. So I’m the most fed member (adc) of my team, I had a big 2nd item spike, and a 3rd big item spike with 20-30seconds left before dragon spawned (happened for both drag spawns). In my mind backing for my spike before drag was the play, I pinged my team back but they still fought for pit control and lost. Do you think I made the wrong play? In my opinion, fighting when strongest is the most consistent way to increase winrate and I know if it went badly it was cause I wouldn’t have had the spike.

I think this is a great question, because deciding between sticking to your play and adapting to the reality of the situation is an important skill. I can't say for sure without knowing all of the specifics, but I would probably say that if you noticed that your team was not going to listen to your pings (especially after the first time) then you should probably go with them to fight anyways. Still you need to communicate properly that you want to base for your item and ping them back, but it's necessary to adapt if they are not clearly listening to the call.
Also, something to keep in mind is how you can make it easier for your team to play. By 20-30 seconds before the drag, so you mean that is when you are basing? If so, that means you will lose all control of dragon and it makes sense your team would fight without you. Finding ways to make sure that you can base early in order to get your item earlier could be a great way to ensure the situation is avoided all together. And if that is the case, early set up can often times be more valuable than an item spike, especially if you are already ahead.
Hopefully that gives you some things to think about. Thanks for the question!

@@Sentrial thank you Sentrial, yeah it was a pretty late base both drags, but seeing as how I was the only fed member with no frontline I didn’t want to risk losing my massive lead on a less than optimal drag fight. Game was basically an autoloss anyway despite how fed I was, all solo laners fed and instead of them drawing pressure in side lanes they thought it’d be better to sit on top of me and concede all pressure in the game. Thanks for your insight, little things like that are always difficult but I have a feeling that if I did fight the drag, would’ve lost even faster haha 👍🏼
