Saudi is changing at a rapid rate. Never underestimate the Prince. The development across the country and the culture is changing daily on a massive scale
europe will always have problem if we want to grow our continent !
The British wrote the book on sports washing
Clearly you don't understand the definition of Sportswashing then.
I'm not gonna say we're saints, far from it, but we never used sport to portray ourselves in a falsified or positive light.

Clearly you don’t know British history. Saudi Arabia is morally superior to the UK, it nowhere near the atrocities committed by Britain!
The UK etc need to look at themselves when it comes to human rights and not constantly trying to get involved in other countries

The colour of money is the same wherever it comes from. London is the international capital of money laundering. People generally don't care where it comes from. The English Premier league has had many club owners with questionable backgrounds. Football is riddled with corruption. Let's not be hypocrites to criticize any country about sports washing, when we are all compliant participants.
Its got nothing to do with race. Its the human rights issues. Very simple. The West does not engage in those activities domestically. You are entitled in your home nation to work and live by a certain set of standards and you are protected under English common law or a form of English common law. In Saudi Arabia they do not have that. They have more money than any owners of any club in England or the West ever. Ever. They are paying fees that are impossible to match. You are breaking the issue down to race, as if, that is why its an issue. If you think the Premier League have power due to TV money is the same as sports washing or what the Saudis are able to do... youre delusional and you simply lack the intellect to conceptualise the issue even at its most basic elements.
@@mattvanemden7573 race? I've not mentioned race anywhere. What I'm saying is we are compliant in accepting their money, so it's hypocritical to also criticize them about sports washing. If we really want to criticize them we should not accept their money.
@@neilkwok you are absolutely right. @mattvanemden7573 just see the word colour in your statement and assume you were talking about race without probably reading what you said.
@@nicklordx9280 And, the guy was talking about "intellect". 😅 This is why I try to not go with the confidence with which one presents his/her content but the content itself which is bs in this case.
Sportswashing doesn't mean money laundering here in this context
Only reason why British media is talking about this is because you’re scared they’d take all the best players from England same way you guys take all the best players from around the world. Reality is the uk isn’t this fantasy land everyone want to go play football in if anything if players get offers that match those that English clubs propose must times they’d never come to England. Now Saudi Arabia is here with much better pay and lifestyle so yh it’s not a surprise the players are jumping ship.
stick that oil Arab money and eat it! money does not make you, it is skill and determination! Saudi Arabia and Egypt are a big nothing! skill and talent are eternal, money is temporary! English premier league football is the worlds best football! for thew last 30-40 years! just look and see the facts speaks for itself! Saudi football is only 1 minute old! when the oil runs out so will the corrupt money!
@@jimwatkins3134what does Egypt have to do with anything secondly how is using money to enhance the country’s economy “corruption” I love how people are hating on Saudi Arabia for using oil which is a natural resource that every country uses even Britain stole billions even trillions of $$ of natural resources from other countries like india
Do you know anything about Saudi Arabia do you know how that oil money is obtained?
@@jimwatkins3134 I don't understand your point it's their oil and it ends up in their hands, what's the problem?.
the problem is, when you have that type of dirty oil money that can be used to cook the books and get away with fraud, breaking the financial fair play rules set by Fifa and using money to avoid cheating the system.
oil money is evil and bad . it also teaches young players who come through the system bad morals! ( u will need to work that out for yourself)
also the evil thing about Arabs and oil money is all about just buying players, giving them over inflated wages, clubs manipulating the market instead of building up the youth and producing talent via your local schools and academies!@@sevedsplan5932

I think it's brilliant that Saudi Arabia is going to get the best football league in the world.
Well done to MBS.
Saudis know oil won't last forever. They took note of the fallen British Empire. The West is switching to electric cars that are either more expensive or same as current cars. The rest of the world is still switching from no cars to petrol cars. Furthermore electric cars have two trunk spaces. One for normal use and the other for a portable as owners are encouraged to keep a fossil fuel powered generator in the electric cars
furthermore u should stop waffling and go put this energy into a job mate
Saudi actually are one of the biggest investors on renewable energy beacuse it’s better for the eco system but u clearly don’t know that oil is used way more then just for gasoline
@@azm01 you’re missing the point. Furthermore gasoline is one byproduct of crude oil which is what Saudi Arabia trade. Add that to your knowledge gap. It’s the Sky news presenter that spoke about the West switching to electric cars. They are the ones who presumably do not know crude oil is used for way more than the production of vehicle fuel.

This whole segment seems dumb
The majority of effort to reposition Saudi has come from things other than sports and hence demanding an expedited rebranding via sports is well justified given that they have done and are doing everything needed to justify the new way the world ought to view them
I wouldn't be too concerned. Corporations the size of Microsoft are run by people who create work for themselves to justify their huge salaries. So they'll spend ridiculous sums on projects, usually with daft codenames like "project brooklin", just to make it look like they've got their finger on the pulse on what the industry will look like in the future. The project here is "when can we go fully digital", they produce thousands of pages of spiel, run a load of fancy powerpoint presentations, flow charts yadda yadda, impress the shareholders with it, give themselves a massive pat on the back... aaand then carry on as usual and bin off the fully-digital plan.
This is honestly a non issue. Whatever they do internally is their problem as long as MBS keeps it within his borders. Idk where people get the idea that people deserve anything more than what’s handed to then
It's not europe alone that deserves best players

For Saudi women and visitors, both the hijab and the niqab are optional. Women must always dress modestly, covering their knees and shoulders. Although the abaya is optional, it is required when visiting mosques in order to respect Muslim culture. You may be compelled to wear a headscarf in some areas, such as Riyadh.
