30:50 the brass trivet is shaped to hold a hot iron. The old flat irons were heated on the stove, or hearth. A trivet like that gave one a place to set it. They can be popular for decorating in a sewing or craft room. The ones that are so fancy I wouldn't want to mess it up lol
Congrats on all the sales! The bird print didn't even make it to the listing! The Cardinal is also the NC State bird. I never knew it was also Kentucky's, too. Going to yearly Church Rummage sale tomorrow for fun. Will look for new names you've taught me. Enjoying my treasuresCat
Hi Gary & Harlene! 2 cool kids out shopping again. At 5:03 beside the Buddah snow globe, Watkins crock with the bail. I know youre not big on functional items but crocks are good no matter the size. These smaller cheese or spice crocks fetch up to 18 for a 1pint size. Watkins spice is popular, of course theres a flood of Wisconsin ones out there, but look for any other label or none. The big thing is that they have lid and bail.
At 40:28 to the left of the wood plate is a Stan Langwait Art Piece. Usually scenes like the Trail of Tears, End of the Trail, etc. They are collectible, and I sold one similar for $25.
11:33 Joshua Chamberlain was from Maine. When Lincoln made the call for more men, Chamberlain formed a troop of all volunteers, the 20th Maine regiment. They fought fir the Union in many battles but most famously at Little Roundtop, at the Battle of Gettysburg. The 20th Maine Chamberlain's regiment had the high ground and fought regiments from Alabama for hours. When they ran out of ammunition, Chamberlain gave the call to fix bayonets and charge down the hill. This effort so terrified the rebels that they turned tail and ran. The 20th Maine's action on that day may have saved the Union. After fighting for 2 more years, he returned to Maine to continue his career as an instructor at Bowdoin College. He went on to become 32nd Governor of Maine, 1867-1871. Then President of Bowdoin College from 1871-1883. His hometown was across the Penobscot river from Bangor where i live and the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge connecting the 2 cities was constructed in 1954.
Wow! Your Goodwill are just as bad for selection as our Value Village, and we do know where anything donated of value is sold by the company online, what a scam!
You two are the cutest! "I love picking with you" and "I'm glad I'm on the journey with you" Love you guys!

The white Buddha is a souvenir glass from Benihana. Hole in front for straw. They are quite common in thrift stores.
Thanks Carol, we haven’t been to a Benihana in years!!!❤
5,57 This is an old Black Forest bear carving. Even with a crack or some damage they can be very expensive. Greetings from Holland!

Its a small world. My Mom was into genealogy and i think we had a common cousin.
That is such interesting history!
That’s amazing history
@@PickerRoad the minute you picked up the picture I said, hey That looks like Joshua Chamberlain. And we actually said his name at the same time. Lol
Many crafters use those vintage buttons for jewelry making and artwork.
Thank you again for another great video hope you all have a great weekend !!
Thank you! You too!❤❤❤
Another fun video , definitely’the learning channel’ !
😅❤
Thanks for the movie review. I’ll have to check it out.
I am Verry interested in the Kestrel picture! I held one in my arms for about an hour two weeks after I lost my son. Long story, but it was my sign.
Oh Janet, I am sorry but the painting sold. I will look for another Kestrel for you. I would love to find a piece that would bring you comfort.❤❤❤
Great video.❤
As a resident of Ohio, I can tell you that the state bird of Ohio is the Cardinal.
Trivet for an iron I think.
That trivet is to hold a hot iron
❤🙃
👋👋
Hi Patty❤
🤗🇨🇦👍
I assure you i would not burn the dog face candle. I would not deface him.
Who would want an old fashion dressed torso as a night light. ODD
