I am Filipino...and for me it's okay that Bollywood made these remake coz it has originality and all of those songs was made in India (idk if only in India). Bollywood songs were mostly untouched by westerners, like when you listen to even a modern one you still notice it that it is Indian. I must say some remakes were good, some were not as what others say.

Changing even the bass and style makes it a remake. So the whole point is that bollywood doesnt have good composers hemce they are reusing songs. And sometimes it doesnt turn out to be good...
The idea behind remakes is simple. They were super hits during their release and their remix will garner the same, if not the more attention. Obviously the sound quality improves and the music is made more punchy, keeping in line with the current dance trend.
