Well, you were correct this was not an Indian or a Bollywood Movie. This was a Danny Boyle's movie and in fact his masterpiece I would say. It is a British film that has been set in India.
I remember watching this movie at school, when we were learning about India and in this final scene everyone in the classroom started dancing. I love this music and movie 🇧🇷❤🇮🇳

Teenage Salim hit me in the deepest spot in my soul when this movie came out. I think I was around the actor's age, not the character's (born in 91) so I was a kid myself and wasn't open to emotions yet. And then this beautiful beautiful boy came and there's something about him that's so powerful, and so intelligent that I never forgot him for a second. And now I'm going to look him up and watch everything he was in since, even if it's a coke commercial. This boy is truly special. I'm glad he came back to me out of nowhere.
Just watched the Slumdog Millionaire, it was really amazing! Never thought that this movie is so darn amazing because it is dark yet a light genre one. 🙏😊😍
I remember watching this movie in Germany ❤️I cried soo much during the movie and still I get goosebumps seeing this. I'm gonna stream this tonight when toddler is in bed ☺️
for everyone , when a film ends shooting actors are never forced by contract to do this kind of extra material , this kind of credit scenes dance number are done by the cast voluntarily and as you can see they do it because they had a great time making this film or they simply love it so much they just want another chance to make it even better.
Not true. For any film, they can contract actors to do whatever they want. Since these actors were all nobodies, I imagine they were happy to sign up for this as a condition of working on the film.
@@cybercriminal3110 For me, the way Jamal would have reacted would it be just like a big shock (after all, he literally spended big part of his life with him and lived tough moments together), but it wouldn't be more than that. Jamal probably already knew the possible outcomes of his brother's life choice and maybe he realized what was gonna happen when Salim told him to go away.
This looks so great they are dancing at railway station, so indian! Moreover this is hollywood showing the real india, unlike bollywood shooting their movies in foreign countries
Resul Pookutty in an interview with galatta plus told that this song was originally not there in the movie. After the shoot of the movie and after the 8th draft edit of the movie they shot this music video with the dancers and actors dancing to Aaaj ki raat song from Don. A R Rahman only joined the project after the shoot. A R Rahman made the song Jai ho matching the beats of Aaj ki raat and they re edited this music video to match Rahman's Jai ho song. After the release of the movie Jai ho became an international hit. Rahman is a genius.
No podría ser una película hecha en la India sin esos gráficos en los créditos finales y el baile de los actores. Además había una estrofa en español. Hello people from India from Mexico.
Las películas de la India se caracterizan por sus bailes y esta durante su trascurso no tiene ningun baile, así que colocarlo al final les recuerda a todos que es una película de la India, además que sirve como un cierre perfecto.
Read the book from which this movie is adapted from (it's name is Q&A, by Vikas Swarup), the story in the movie has same themes as you mentioned but there's much deeper and darker concepts in the book. It's better than the movie although this is one of the best movies ever :)

Hindi movies are like these all the time.
Actually in my opinion, ending a film like this with a dance feel is ridiculous and makes it worse
