  • Sousse is Tunisian port city with a charming Medina and pristine beaches. After exploring the city centre, I take a day trip to one of North Africa's most spectacular historical sites, the El Jem Colosseum.

Just found your channel with this presentation of Sousse. Very nice indeed. Tunisia is quite spectacular country. I remember, as a 22 year old, coming to this country in 1973, taking an old puegot car to Mahdia, staying with Tunisian in a classic old house. They took me in buses and trains to Ghomrassen in the south in the desert. Wonderful experience. Thanks for bringing back a bunch of excellent memories.

    Great video.
I stayed in Sousse for 1 week and did a lot. I did the 2 day Sahara tour which included El Jem, Matmata, Camel ride in Sahara Desert around Douz, overnight stay in Kebili, early start to see sunrise over the Salt Lake Desert (Chott El Jerid), onto Tamerza Canyon, Chebika waterfalls, desert jeep safari, horse carriage around the oasis town of Tozeur, onto Gafsa for lunch then to Kairaoun before back to the hotel in Sousse.
I had a boat ride in Port El Kantaoui from the marina for 2 hours, then went to Monastir to see the beach, ribat and the mausoleum.
Also had a day trip to Tunis seeing the Medina and the mosque as well as Bardo Museum, Tunis Lake, Sidi Bou Said and the Roman Carthage.
In Sousse, I went to the beaches especially the one highlighted in the video which is the main beach area of Sousse, went to the Ribat, the Grand Mosque as well as the Medina plus paid a visit to the Archaeological Museum.
Tunisia is a great country to visit with so much to do and see

I was in Tunisia last January to April 2014. My hotel is in La Goullette then transferred and stayed in Madinat jadida in Ben Arous and was able to visit ancient Roman buildings in Carthage and some other places. I visited also El Jem which is amazing.

And when back in Tunis you have to visit the national museum of Bardo
Hope you are enjoying your stay here
