- Rehan Staton, 24, is going from collecting garbage in Maryland to learning the law at Harvard University Law School. Staton’s father raised him and his brother alone. When his father suffered a stroke, he got a job in sanitation to support the family while also attending the University of Maryland. He finished his undergraduate degree with a 3.84 GPA. He says "failure wasn’t an option." Inside Edition Digital has more #InsideEdition
My Man went from steal your rubbish to steal your job.

But nobody ever talks about single dads???🤦🏽♂️ but always talk about the struggles of single moms
Double standards
Alot of woman want more power
@@Toni29360 fragile female ego
Society has perpetuated the cultural standard of women having to be the one to take care of the child. On the same end The idea of men being nurturing to children seems to be against that societal idea. It isn't right. Personally my father was always more emotionally available and comforting than my mother. There's also a real problem with women getting custody of children when they're not the better parent Just because they're the mother. I'm saying this as a woman. Women have a tendency to be very entitled when it comes to parenting. I don't want to generalize because I know all women aren't like that. But there a lot of women Love to take the fact that they carried a child and birthed it and drag that around with them like it was the greatest accomplishment anyone ever made and everyone is indebted to them because of it especially their children.
Shut up
Zakaria Ogle huh
Look at him man so inspirational!
He really is, I am happy for his achievement
Absolutely! Hard work, responsibility & dedication really does pay off.
I live in NY and government sanitation workers here make good salary and have good benefits. Hundreds of people here apply for a single government sanitation worker job. There is also a huge surplus of lawyers here, they come out of law school with a lot of debt and struggle to find jobs, and don't earn that much and struggle to pay of student loans
It's a better investment to go to med school and become a doctor, the starting salary for doctors is usually $300,000 and it's very easy to find a job since there is a shortage of doctors especially neurosurgeons.
@@JD-kp6pt a lot of debt for med school
@arain764niara
There is a lot of debt for law school. Atleast with medschool you can easily find a high paying job and pay off your debt fast because the starting salary for doctors here is around $300,000
He could have chosen a college that will give him full scholarship.
Yep. With his situation, I think nursing school would have been a good choice. U can get your LPN in 12 to 18 months, then your RN a few years later. There isn't much debt. Financial Aide would have covered it all. He would be making great money and still have a lot of time to take care of his dad, but good luck to him.
That’s me when I found out I didn’t completely fail the year
LMFAPOOOO ME AF
This is my reaction when i graduated college by barely passing all my classes.

There is also huge surplus of lawyers here, they come out of law school with a lot of debt and struggle to find jobs, and don't earn that much. Law school is not worth it. Unlike people who go to med school and become doctors, the starting salary for doctors is usually $300,000 and it's very easy to find a job since there is a shortage of doctors especially neurosurgeons
It's not everything about money but what you want to do with your life. If he wanted to be a lawyer, then be it. If them want to be sanitation workers, then be it too.
This man didnt let it fall into place, hes so good he *made* it fall into place
This made me emotional God bless him !
