- Epernay is the capital of the Champagne region of France. In this video we show you our top five things to do in Epernay.
We visit the relaxing gardens at the Hotel de Ville. Then we go to do some tastings at some Champagne houses. We visit the opulent boutique at 'Moët & Chandon' and then take a stroll along the 'Avenue de Champagne'. Finally, we tour the cellars at the 'Boizel' and 'Mercier' Champagne houses.

Moet & chandon it's "Muu Hate" and ABSOLUTE DONT Forget a GOOD SWEAT even in summer if you want to visiter cellar because it's 13°C 55°F ;) (from a born in Epernay)

@@3minutetours, Many of the houses outside of Épernay are not fancy, but have nice champagnes. A few of the smaller ones that I like are Michel Fagot, Louis Brochet, J-M Sélèque, Voirin Jumel, and Alfred Gratien. If you are more interested in a ‘fancy’ house, Lafond is a good choice. A good option for something more middle sized is Leclerc Briant (they have a bed and breakfast in Épernay town with a nice garden too in case you just want to taste the champagne and not do a full tour or want a good place to stay). Philipponnat is also a medium sized house that does a nice tour and offers a wide-ranging tasting. Of course, Jacques Selosse is probably the most sought after at the moment, but you will have to stay at their house and even then I’m told you are not guaranteed a tour. There are many good options.

The Champagne is very good! Epernay very disappointing..
I thought Epernay was magical. We did a day trip from Paris and took the train.
