It was very unstable when you were in the car. It was hard to watch.
Music teacher here. I would suggest that Jackson enters a group music class that has a little bit if everything (singing, percussion, dancing, intro to music theory, intro to piano). A lot of kids his age often get bored if they only learn one instrument for a long time. Then when he enters elementary school, he'll have a strong music foundation that'll make it easier for him to learn any instrument.
My husband was a music teacher as well. One thing I got from him was voice is the best first instrument. It’s internal, and forever. Singing, which you all do already, is the best intro to all music. Keep up the singing!
I second this as a church music director! It’ll be fun for him to try different instruments and see which one he likes overtime. ☺️
As a preschool teacher, check your library as a resource in finding a music exploration class. Also it is not too early for Jackson(or Oliver in the games too😁) to help you clean. But as a game- set a three minute timer, pick a color then put everything “yellow” away, or one category; books, matchbox cars, all the walking toys, etc. It will help them learn is a fun thing, not a chore. It helps with school where cleaning isn’t just a teacher’s job. Start easy and before you know it they will be cleaning buddies too!

Our son did a music exploration class. They tried drums, strings, woodwind and reeds etc.. he loved it and now at 19 loves his guitar.
I greatly prefer this camera because it tracks you guys way better and doesn’t constantly go out of focus on your faces like the DSLR cameras. Even though the color and contrast isn’t quite as good, it’s probably a LOT lighter and easier to hold! I say stick with it! Sound quality is great too!

Piano lessons is the best place to start - it teaches all the fundamentals that he needs to know if he wants to learn another instrument down the road.

I've used the Osmo pocket 1, and now the pocket 2 for years and have absolutely loved them! Will probably get the pocket 3 soon. You can get really great footage out of it if you learn how to use it well, even some really beautiful cinematic footage. Love you guys!
Check out drum circles in your area. There are all kinds of groups, including family/kid friendly circles. Many also supply the drums you can use there. These groups aren’t lessons and include both complete newbies and seasoned professionals. It’s all about building a sense of shared peace.
I usually go through times of dread when there's a couple days without an upload. But I haven't even been able to keep up with the amount this week, way to go, Jenn. You are doing great

I would suggest a general into to music class in your community. It helps children explore different types, theory, instruments, singing, etc. I have been playing the drums for nearly 50 years but I did all city chorus and general music appreciation before I started. I also played tuba for a couple of years. He is going to soak it all up and love it! Even some local ymca's have intro music classes. Check with your community center as well. You know your child and you can make the best decision about when he is ready for more serious classes.
I started piano at 4 years old! I would recommend learning piano since it provides a good base for other instruments.

Former young kids piano instructor, current teen vocal instructor here!! YES! Music lessons are so important at a young age! I highly recommend piano as a first instrument as it helps the basics on any other instrument, he’ll be better set up for success for something like school band when he’s older!

I don’t have any kids but I grew up playing piano, drums, and viola and it was so good for me. I started doing a class called kinder music.
It helped develop so many life skills (problem solving, dedication, etc) that i didn’t even realize until later and I don’t think you can start too early
I think the video is good quality overall and a more portable camera which I’m sure our favorite vloggers will like. 😁
I agree, I only have one child and I can't keep it clean when he is awake. He is on holiday with his Dad this week therefore I'm deep cleaning the entire house and live in a clean tidy home for a few days! Exciting adult life 😂 x
I think it's great Jackson wants to get into playing the drums! I was a persussionist in Middle and High School. My older brothers were both drummers, and I knew when I got to band that's what I wanted to play. I highly recommend getting him started on the piano though, because reading music is a really important skill. I think I started playing piano around 5 years old, so a little older than Jackson. But, it's never too early to get him started in music theory and note reading.

I started taking violin lessons when I was 4 years old and entering kindergarten (sept birthday). Mainly to learn how to read music and the notes and then progressed to piano after 6-9 months.
If you want to wait for the formal lessons, figure out a way to do some basic music prep like learning notes and where they are on a staff.

My daughter started piano at age 4. Her teacher would start at that age as long as they had parents who would practice with them at home and reinforce what was taught in the lesson. She is almost 16 and is still loving piano and plays two other instruments as well and plans to major in music in college. You might also look into Kindermusik classes.
My Husband laughed hysterically looking at Tim's face when Jenn was explaining things about love island. That's literally the same face my Husband makes when I talk about Disney/Universal. 🤷🏽♀️

Piano teacher here! That's great that he wants to learn. Having read other comments I agree that maybe a group class would be good to begin with. Ive never taught anyone as young as 4, and think their concentration wouldnt be good enough, although i can tell that Jackson is very smart for his age. My son is 4 weeks older than Jackson and has learnt a few things on piano, but as predicted has already been taken by a different instrument (for now!).
I do think if you can find a teacher that teaches through play (aka learning games) that will work much better.
I picked up a pocket 3 for my adventures and I think I am really going to love it. Alaska trip coming up in a week and I hope it is easy to use.
I haven't been here in a while, since I've been super busy trying to get my own UA-cam channel out of the basement lol, but with me being away, when I came back, Jackson is growing so fast. He's a totally different kid than when I saw last. Hi buddy!
I started piano lessons in 2nd grade when I was 7. I continued lessons until I was 18 and graduated high school. (I’m now 20 and still play occasionally) My teacher taught classical and used lesson book sets approved by the Alabama state of music teachers association. My teacher was a basics and theory based instructor and that knowledge interprets great for other things than just being able to play for fun and doing competitions. As I got older however she’d let me influence the lessons based on interest. My interests combined with my knowledge allowed me to play at church and in my high school jazz band without an audition and pick up a band environment easily. I could go on and on about the recitals and competitions and the specifics of my lessons. But all you really need to know is I had a blast learning and performing all my life and I think if you get Jackson engaged early enough he’ll like it too. 3:13
Love yall! Definitely didn’t expect to hear yall talk about love island but it was a great season!! I love the casting and Ariana was the main reason why this season was so great! It just came out that this season was the most viewed reality tv show of the year!!
I love the thumbnail picture of this video. After watching your vlogs for a long time and watching your family go from just Tim and Jen to now a busy family with 2 beautiful boys-it’s so fun to watch you guys be great parents.
New camera is good. I think the yellow color was mainly in lower light settings and could just be the color temp of your light bulbs. You may be able to adjust the white balance in camera or in post to get it back to your desired look.

I absolutely love the color the sound and the stabilized image looks great. Also was the pocket three you could turn on additional noise reduction in the settings if needed. I have one myself. I absolutely love it and utilizing the wireless microphones. It’s really easy to sync up a pair of wireless dji mics. Also, there is a low light setting, which looks incredible but even in just the regular settings, the low light video looks incredible. Also the face tracking focus when you flip it around to selfie mode is rock solid, and it really locks into the face.
Music teacher here. He’s the perfect age to start piano or Suzuki violin lessons. If you get an electric piano or drum kit you can also use headphones!

I'm a wedding photographer and videographer in Georgia. I thought about using this camera quality seems good. The bouncy ness of it trying to focus seems to be a bit much for me though. We got the insta 360 where we don't have to worry about any angle since it records all angles. You just edit in post. It also helps for getting wet since it's water proof. I'm not sure if the Osmo Pocket is water proof due to the gimble.
DJI pocket 3 is so good! Only downside is not being able to zoom, at least without losing image quality drastically. The stabilization and low-light performance is top tier though!
Tim if you want the best low light performance out of the osmo pocket 3 I would definitely recommend trying to shoot in 1080p 30p instead of 1080p 60p. Keep in mind its still a 1 inch size sensor.
This video was so much fun! Loved everything and especially the new “general”cleaning (1st was general bedtime 😂) and also the cooking part!
I remember buying the first DJI Osmo Pocket back in spring 2019 when I went to Hong Kong for Disneyland. I liked it but struggled a little with the movement of the camera itself, didn’t get used to it easily, then sold it because I only used it for 1 trip. I still have a vlog montage of the whole trip here on YT, shorten to 6 minutes or so. 🎥 Keep looking at Tim behind Jenn starting at 10:36 he’s dying to speak but doesn’t wanna interrupt her (for like 2 minutes) 🤣🤣🤣
Have you tried the bucket system for the toys so there not all available at one time , you rotate what is out. Anything extra stays stored somewhere else it makes the cleanup easier
I brought the DJI Osmo pocket 3 for my family Christmas trip to Disney World. For someone who doesn’t know much about cameras it was pretty easy to use.
The brightness and crisp picture is awesome! I want one now!!!

Hi! I’m a music therapist, have taught music lessons in the past, and a percussionist. I highly recommend piano as a beginning instrument! It’s a great foundation and will help immensely when he chooses to explore and learn new instruments.
Constantly picking up the kid clutter is like a part-time job. And then there’s the dishes, the food prep, the laundry, the bathrooms, the minor messes… It’s so hard to keep up with the heavy cleaning, like mopping and cleaning out the fridge and cabinets! I want someone to come like 2x a month to deep clean 😩

I have twin boys and the tornado of toys I called disaster whack-a -mole. While I was cleaning one room they would thunder another. Its a season that they thankfully out grow!
I use that camera for my vlog sometimes. I like it the quality is super good but some times it’s a pain the but. Takes some getting used to
We just bought a DJI Pocket 3 this week as well. We don't vlog other than for personal use, but I feel it will be so much easier at Disney. Excited to see you guys testing it out as well.

Hi y'all, good home vlog. I Enjoy these moments 😊 Oliver has a bit of hummer😅 so adorable, Jackson will like Piano, that's what i started on. I played piano and keyboard through my Elementary school days, when I started 9th grade i got into playing Guitar . However, i don't play either anymore, but i played them for fun at home until i was in my mid 20s age. I would play Christmas songs on piano every Christmas to, it is wonderful memories 😊 This was nice. It's great that swim lessons for boys are doing great to😊 Be Safe Take Care 😊❤❤❤❤

the kids need to be cleaning up their toys before bed! It will seem like more effort than its worth at first and that you can do it faster, but they need to learn to clean up after themselves. They and their future wives will thank you! Jackson really seems to enjoy helping you cook- seeing him with the peppers was very cute!

You picked a great season to watch Love Island. I have watched them all and this year was the best! I've never followed the Ariana drama, but I loved her as host. I loved all final couples and would've been happy for any of them winning!
I am a music teacher and I currently teach private lessons. I actually have a private student that’s in kindergarten who wanted to learn the drums. We agreed to start with the piano and slowly incorporate drums. I would suggest to just try out some different things, maybe find a private teacher and see what they think, find a group class like Musictogether or whatever is local there and see what Jackson likes. Little kid private lessons are so fun, I only meet with kids that age for maybe 20 minutes once a week.
I got the DJI pocket 3 creator combo a few months ago and i love it. I think the footage looks just as good as your other cameras. I haven’t used it in the parks yet but I’m interested to see how long the extended battery lasts for you and if I need a second battery too. Looking forward to more videos with the new camera. 🎉
The new camera looks good and the sound was great with the standard microphone. I did notice that you both struggled some with looking at the right spot. It often appeared that you were looking below the lens (probably at the viewfinder). It just takes time to adjust! Oliver saying “oww oww oww!” was too cute!

The camera looks and sounds great! Sebastian and I have the pocket 2 and use it all the time. We love our dji! It's so much easier to take with us wherever we go. Low light isnt the best. I want the pocket 3 because the screen is bigger and there's better playback options. I'd be interested to see how the low light is on the 3.

Camera is great except your eyes don’t look like they normally do?! Is this for Disneyland vlogs while Tim is at D23? Though I think I recall him saying that you aren’t going? Yes to fancy toothbrushes 😂I buy the battery powered electric toothbrushes 😝. Oral B. I like the idea of a general group music foundations class to get a taste of all the instruments and then making a more “educated” decision on narrowing down to one instrument. I highly recommend binning and rotating toys and the boys should be responsible for putting away their own toys which will help them build strong habits for later in life. Oliver is such an adorable HOOT! Congratulations to Jackson on leveling up in swim!!! He is such a sweet joy! I think BOTH of your main emotions are joy. Yay to home vlogs!

I'm a piano teacher! 🎶 I have taught students as young as 4. It really depends on their ability and desire to focus. I feel like Jackson would be a good candidate! But, make sure the teacher has experience with that age, and uses appropriate curriculum. I use curriculum geared towards that age group. Good luck!!!
I don't want to burst your bubble Jenn, but I've watched many seasons of Love Island and hardly any of them ever stay together long term. I always check, and get disappointed. You should watch the older Love Island UK - they are very entertaining.
