My issue with that its not only the girl theres a little boy also, and the father said he can hardly provide for all three of them so you're going to adopt the girl and leave the boy, why not tell the man that you and your wife will take care of them which would give him the opportunity to get a job and to make a better life for them, i have nothing against adoption, however the little boy is his biological son the girl was dropped off by a family member even knowing that his situation was not the best. This is what i see in this situation, at the end of the day its you and your wife's decision.
