Fab upload, of a fabulously diverse, architectural, splendid example, of West London.
Cool music to go with it.
    Thanks.

Really enjoyed the walk. We stayed at a hotel close to Fulham station during our city trip to London a couple of years ago. Always wanted to discover Chelsea itself but we were too exhausted from our activities in the city so that we never came very far in Chelsea. Chelsea is very nice and so clean. Thank you for sharing!

Its river frontage runs from Chelsea Bridge along the Chelsea Embankment, Cheyne Walk, Lots Road and Chelsea Harbour. Its eastern boundary was once defined by the River Westbourne, which is now in a pipe above Sloane Square Underground station. The modern eastern boundary is Chelsea Bridge Road and the lower half of Sloane Street, including Sloane Square. The western boundary was formed by the former Counter's Creek, of which the mouth - Chelsea Creek - is the only surviving part. It is considered that the area north of King's Road as far northwest as Fulham Road is part of Chelsea.

Chelsea is an affluent area in west London, England, situated south-west of the City of Westminster. It lies on the north bank of the River Thames and for postal purposes is part of the south-western postal area.
Chelsea historically formed an ancient parish in the Ossulstone hundred of Middlesex, which became a metropolitan borough of the former County of London in 1900. It merged with the Metropolitan Borough of Kensington, forming the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea upon the formation of the Greater London area in 1965.

Age 18 in 1961 I moved to 73 Blantyre St World's End Chelsea & for 9 years moved to Beaufort St, Lot's Rd, Edith Grove ETC reading on the foundations of maths & logic, taking time off for 2 years to bum around Turkey, Iran, Pakistan ETC in pursuit of a wager to seduce 1000 femmes against the Chelsea artist XY - hence, I loved the place as an artistic Bohemia, meeting & sleeping with the famous & infamous & getting stoned on hash & acid, before meeting my Immortal Beloved & attending 2 further universities. We now live in our great Italian villa, with a vast library and artworks, own an art-gallery & are in the process of decanting our overflowing collections into 2 medieval apartments. Ain't life sweet if you're kissed by Christ.

Between i961 to 1970 I stayed at innumerable addresses in Chelsea trying to fulfil a wager to seduce 1000 femmes against a famous artist womanizer. I met, dined, slept with [etc] many famous and infamous names and had adventures most people would not believe. I had the pleasure of telling Rudolf Nureyev to p*** off outside Chelsea Town Hall as he tried it on, but accepted a date with Lucian Freud so we could discuss Wilhelm Fliess, Francis Bacon et al. It was a great place to be & I once pulled eight beautiful girls in 38 hours - quite exhausting - and dated another eight simultaneously at the King's Arms, Fulham Road, for the sake of a visiting uncle,. He remarked that no one would ever believe it, although he was unaware it was carefully arranged. Actresses, dancers, celebs and so on, until I finally saw my Immortal beloved, with whom - 53 years later - I still live in our beautiful Italian villa. A world-famous actress asked me to join her and her starlet entourage in the Queen's Elm - "Eh, handsome, I'd like to buy you a drink" - but I refused her direct request for a sexual encounter, saying I'd seduce the starlets whilst she watched. This didn't please her so I left abruptly. PS Please don't edit this historical perspective out & replace it with charming hogshit!

The word (also formerly, , or ,) originates from the Old English term for "landing place [on the river] for chalk or limestone" (: chalk-wharf, inAnglo-Saxon). Chelsea hosted theSynod of Chelsea in 787 AD. The first record of the Manor of Chelseaprecedes the Domesday Book and records the fact that Thurstan, governor of the King's Palace during the reign of Edward the Confessor (1042-1066), gave the land to the Abbot and Convent of Westminster. Abbot Gervace subsequently assigned the manor to his mother, and it passed into private ownership.
