- Watch this video for step by step how-to instructions on installing a LED light bar in a golf cart.
When I first moved to our new acreage in Nashville, my friend Caleb told me I would need to get a golf cart. I laughed and told him that was ridiculous. He lent me his for four days and on the fifth day, I traded my farm truck for a used EzGo golf cart. That's right, I realized that having a golf cart was going to be more useful in the long run than my Tacoma Pickup I'd been driving in Seattle for the past seven years! There are so many things we use the golf cart for every day, taking out the trash, hauling stuff around the farm, visiting neighbors, exercising the dogs, getting the mail, towing trailers and equipment, towing my classic truck... We got a fantastic deal on this used EzGo golf cart, but it was missing a few crucial features, a tow hitch and a light bar. We found an 18,000 lumen LED light bar to recycle and installed it on the golf cart, and the tow hitch is coming soon. I could not be happier to have traded that old truck for the golf cart, it is electric, so it has a smaller carbon footprint, doesn't require gas, is silent, and soon I'll hang some solar panels to charge it by the barn, making it a sustainable vehicle for our organic farm.

It took me five years to convince my dad to get a golf cart. My mom inherited my grampa's hunting property when he passed away in 2011. This was right when my mom got stationed in San Antonio and I was just starting college at Texas A&M. This property was an hour from A&M, so it was perfect for them to visit and now they are thinking about retiring there. My dad originally bought a couple of used four wheelers to get around, but they were crap and rarely did both work at the same time and no one ever wants to ride on the back of a four wheeler. He is stubborn and cheap and never wanted to spend money on a golf cart or side-by-side, but he managed to find one cheap and he finally realized how nice they are to have for small ranges.
Got a golf cart from a neighbor for $50 and replaced the tires and batteries for about $450. Been a great little tooling around golf cart, especially with the mini truck bed.
GOALS!! I've wanted a golf cart since I had a job where that was my main way of getting around the site. SO FUN!
Good video, I like that you are having so much fun there.
Sweet ride, glad it's going to be used and useful for your operation
Happy New GolfCart Anne! Awesome cat pose, and enjoy the butt connectors... giggle giggle giggle👍
Brilliant! Good call with the fuse. My land is rougher so I'm getting a quad in the spring. super useful. Cheers
Here on our farm the golf cart and the 6-wheel Gator sit in the garage; the cars are somewhere out in the yard. We have a 20 year old E-Z-Go much like yours with several of the same mods. Mostly I enjoy your woodworking but this post was a lot of fun also. I am sorry to hear about your down times recently. Prayers for great success in 2021
What a fantastic, well-made video! 👍👍👍👍👍
I hope you never lose your enthusiasm or smile! Fun post...
Nice guys . Love your videos especially the bloopers 😂😂😎
A great feeling switch is something to be excited about for sure! Nice.
That’s awesome! Great job guys
Nice Golf cart Anne! Thanks for sharing the video with us! 💖👌👍😎JP
I loved driving the golf cart around the race track many years ago now. Sure beat walking and giving a random stranger that looked tired from walking a ride was always fun! Next you'll be wanting one of those super deluxe model 4x4 utv's...
Great video (as always) and great trade! We live on a hill and use a Ranger Polaris...hauls 4 each 3 stringers easily, pulls trailers, goes anywhere, has "dump bed" for dirt, gravel, trimmings, and it climbs anything. Oh yes, did I say it's fun too, just like the golf cart. So in the future when your flush with cash, it would be a good upgrade to the cart!
Seriously a person of all trades. Yesterday an amazing speech today a video about pimping out a golf cart.
Funny you published this today, I was just putting more lights and fixing the batt terminal wiring on a tractor just last night that the previous owner hadn't bothered putting any corrosion protection on and had corroded out badly. My 10 year old was helping and I explained to him what the dilectric grease was for.
We have Club Car golf cart with a bed in the back. You are right, you need one, we are on 4 acres and it has been an absolute blessing to have. Her name is CC.
Nice Golf Cart. They are very handy to have. Enjoy Peace Be With You ☮️
