Well on paper even the HLX Pro still only has half of the lumen output than the Protac 2.0 (1000 compared to 2000). Now personally at these levels of brightness you are still going roast someone's retinas with either option. I didn't really get into the brightness or the throw of the beam because there are a lot of videos doing these types of comparisons. I more or less did the video to show battery and size differences. But I will put that on the back burner.
Thanks for the reply. I do see the lumans as half but the candela is much less on the protac 2. I have not been able to find a beam comparison for these 2. Look forward to seeing that one if you do it. Thanks
UPDATE: I have run into an issue with the Protac 2.0. Up to know I haven't had any problems with the Protac 2.0 until my last trip to the range. I'm now experiencing some connectivity issues with the pressure switch. Fully plugged in was functioning. Would throw a magazine down range then try to activate the light with the pressure switch...nothing. The button on the tail cap still functions. While holding the pressure switch I would wiggle/rotate the connector for the switch in the tail camp...light comes on. I've seen several videos showing the light still functioning even after several mags fired through it. Going to send in an email to Streamlight.
The light only comes with pic rail mounts. I’m pretty sure out there somewhere you can find a MLOK accessory that will allow you to mount the switch on the MLOK sections. Magpul makes one.
@@bigghoss762 actually I should clarify. With the pressure pad there is no constant on. However you can just push the button on the tail cap for constant on.
I'm sure you're aware, but there's the HLX Pro now with the same type of tail cap as the 2.0. You don't need to change the tail cap to use the pressure switch.
Very good comparison on mounting , battery and ui
Can you compare light output

The Protac is a hefty dude, but it appears to edge out just about everything else in the HLX. Thank you for providing this comparison.
hlx has way more candela

What part # you referring to?
@@bmergeek3353 Protac 2.0 is the one on the left in the video. Even says it on the body of the light.
Do the pressure switches come with both the stream lights
Yes both came with the pressure switches and mounting for the switches.
can the pressure pad mount on mlok?

@@ARraven15 thank you
Does the pressure switch of the 2.0 have a constant-on function?
Good question! No it does not. Something I forgot to mention.
@@ARraven15 OK, thanks.

They had the right idea, but that stupid choice of a battery is why I won't buy one
@@yeredfarias7662 Valid but I don't know what that has to do with the pressure switch.

Actually I was unaware that there was a HLX Pro. I do like that they updated the tail cap for the HLX.
are the tailcaps compatible?
The tail cap from the Protac 2.0 is not compatible for the HLX. But they make the HLX Pro now that has the same style cap as the Protac 2.0.
You vs the guy she tells you not to worry about 😅😅
Right.
Throw that Odin mount away... mine lasted about 100 rounds before it disintigrated...
It's funny you say this. I've never actually used it. I always mount it directly to a Mlok piece.
