I’m 19 and wear this all the time. Funny enough I mostly get compliments from guys saying it smells good and asking what it is. Younger women definitely don’t seem to like it very much though haha. Although my ex was the one who recommended it to me, so SOME younger women still enjoy heavy masculine fragrances

Hell yeah! I am also 19 and i'm wearing this along Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Drakkar Noir and Carlo Corinto Classic. Masterpiece frags. It doesn't care if women don't like it... We are not strippers, we as fragheads don't have the task so satisfy women...

My father gave me a bottle of this for my 9th grade winter dance in 1994. I still have the same bottle with about a quarter left. I love it. Reminds me of my dad as well.
Dude your dad has great taste. The projection and longevity of this is amazing. This EDT is more powerful than most EDPs and parfums which is CRIMINAL!

I had a tiny bottle of this that I'd picked up in Singapore four years ago and never used. Put two dabs on my neck this morning and felt like an absolute BOSS on the drive to work. Such an old school scent.

Thanks for posting this! I'm 38 and only recently started exploring all the different fragrances out there. I've been looking for something with a sweet pine scent that won't break the bank. Based on your description and reaction to it, it seems like a good one to try lol I did the same thing you did in this video when I sampled Acqua Di Gio Profondo. I was coming home on the bus after getting a sample on my wrist. I just couldn't get enough of it. I'm sure people were looking at me weird, but I don't care lol

I havet smelled many of the polo range but I love their bottle design. I totally agree with you on certain fragrances that trigger memories. For me, Dior Fahrenheit transports me back to being a kid because my Dad used to wear it.
Im 16 and my mum recently gave me a 59ML of the modern reserve she has had for years, it smells amazing in my opinion and im now strongly considering buying the 8 oz version of it 😅
And your right. Polo was the first... I think Chaps was next then Polo Sport, which was a banger in the mid 90s.

The old formulation is the one that brings back the memories from the 80's and my dad. I've sniffed the current formulation at department stores and it's not even a ghost of it's former greatness. The name is the same and the bottle is pretty much the same, but the juice is far from it's original greatness. DM me if you want a sample of the OG juice, brother.

My dad used to wear this fragrance when he was in high school he also wore CK Obsession and also Perry Ellis for men from 1985. My uncle also wore that when he was in high school. It was a banger when my parents were in high school . Really good cologne!
I wish Cosmair still made Polo Ralph Lauren. I still have my bottle under Cosmair ownership with about 1/5 remaining.
I bought a new bottle and though the current manufacturer tried to replicate, it’s significantly different from the original, which is truly unfortunate. 😢

Yes, this is the newest formulation you can tell because of the short atomizer! Still has good performance and smells like the original from which I remember!

Polo Green is not discontinued that would be unfortunate! Ralph Lauren stills sales it on there website!

Whoever said that is just a hater. Experiment with how much you're using. It's a classic for a reason.

Does anyone know why some Polo bottles have the tall atomizer and why some have the short atomizer? I picked up a bottle of Polo in December and was not sure if it is counterfeit because it has a short atomizer.
The older batches of Polo fragrances have the tall atomizers and with the newer batches they replaced it with a shorter atomizer.
You just have a newer version. Do you like it? Some people complain about weak longevity on the new formulation.

Don’t buy the new Polo Green if you are thinking of the 80s fragrance. They are simply too far apart. I wish they bring back the old smell, the original one.
Original Polo is the best cologne. It reminds me of the Hugh Hefner Playboy Clubs back in the 70s and 80s
My high school memories are mostly centered around Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce and whatever the Hollister scent was called. Basically, most of the preppy kids wore Hollister and the really fancy and wealthy ones wore those blue striped Polo's from A&F as well as Lacoste. I remember buying an A&F Polo sweater as well just because I thought it was the coolest thing ever back then. Anyways, I don't think those are 'masterpiece' fragrances, though I do think Fierce smells quite a lot like Dior Sauvage and Chanel Bleu but less complex. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing Polo Green tbh, it smells like a department store fragrance now. I realize that at some point it was new and more prestigious but those days are gone and now every hair gel, body spray and detergent has the same notes as Ralph Lauren polo fragrances. It's very uncool and boring.

They reformulated it. It's very watered down now has no projection and the performance is horrific.
Very unfortunate.
