If you want my 2c about it... Maybe chlorofluoriccarbides or how th is written, the propeller into spraycans, would have the first thing to mention but hey "Nobody ever thinks about childreeeeenn11!!" It's counterintuitive how one can be against kids while acting such a boomer.

Yesterday I was watchin a content here which has something to say (still watching it, dnk if I'll agree in the end) on how Kurtzgesagt storytells this topic.
One thing hit me in the first 10 minutes: Their (Kurtzg's) initial assumption is that the whole humanity as a cohesive unit, is fully and _equally_ responsible for the whole phenomena, which is not only pollution (to shorten a lot the concept).
It's what the guy who wrote you, did. You _have_ to be part of the problem, according to him.
...One which doesn't feel part of the problem, even if he recognizes a problem there is, can't be easily made feel culpable and forced to act, for a matter which would be easier instead, if everyone cooperates.
It's something that should lift many eyebrows...
- One should move forward to an objective because of its interest, involvement, participation and this would happen _independently_ from wether feeling culpable for the problem or not.
I don't think i.e. ambulance medics feel culpable for a road accident, they just run there, they would do it even off duty.
- Making people feel guilty to make them act, whatever the objective to reach, is not more sensibilization or awareness or so. It's philosophically wrong. It becomes political.
It raises the strong suspect these people are being _maneuvred_ from bigger interests than ecological consciousness. More likely even from political unawareness!
The objective to reach seems to "get green" at all costs, instead to rearrange our unstoppable run forward to the future in a more sustainable way given the resources we have. It is described as "Irrationality of rationality" with many examples shown.
I wouldn't have participated, I was in your shoes.
Because I love penguins, giraffes, cats and I even have a mango plant in my backyard within peas and tomatoes, and I recycle my coffee tabs there.
But don't want my personal individual environmental awareness, good or bad as it can be judged (from who, nonetheless?), to be devalued and re-addressed from people with these kind of shadows above their real intents, the way they pursue them, and same questions about their generous sponsors dont make me name them.
Don't want to be exploited in the name of something, whether I think it's "good or bad". And here, so put, is even very shady. So...
Yes, the subject is very toxic, you're very right.
Smoe, you're a really genuine dude. You don't have to worry about the people who'll accuse you for all the tiny things you do that contribute to climate change and global warming. Art is expression of selves and graffiti artists are some of the best at this. You do what you love and don't worry about us.
We have been brainwashed by the big corperations that it is the regular Joe that has to change his/ her ways. And indeed we should. But the 'easy' progress lies with the big corperations, the transport and shipping sector, etc. Don't be fooled, they have a big say in all of this but try to shove it onto the shoulders of us regular Joes!
PS this is not specifically against you or your remark. Just adding to it!

Hey Smoe, as an artist that contemplates as much as you do, you are exactly the right kind of artist to make a video about climate change.
Don't get fooled, everyone in existence has an impact on our climate, everyone watching this video has a display with mined cobalt from afrika.
Like you so wonderfully said, every little bit helps to get our world to a better future, but also the media does a good job in conceiling the vast and immense effects industries have on the climate.
I don't want to feed any conspiracy, but I've also seen (due to my work shift) offices lit and computers running 24/7 at Airbus, Jungheinrich and the like, emphasising through the night & on weekends.
Instead it is spoonfed to us, that you shouldn't drive a car, eat meat, need to buy regionally and sustainable, while the big gamechangers are industries.
We should not comdemn ourselves or our neighbours, we need to put more pressure on our politicians, because they are supposed to represent the majority of it's people, not the lobbies that feed them.
So my point is, I agree with you, our situation is far from hopeless, and an artist - even though he uses spraypaint and uploads to youtube - that spreads awareness and so clearly puts out his position on a hot topic - pun ? - couldn't be anything less than perfect for the wonderfull piece he created.

To tackle the issue of stuff like "everything I do is bad" because of driving a car, eating meat, having kids, etc. All I can really say to it is that it has been way too propagated by governments and media that we, as normal, working or not working, people, are the issue. Let's take Smoe, driving a car, having kids, eating meat - Ok, that has some consequences to climate change, sure. However, when you take into consideration that a rich person, flying a private jet, all of the things Smoe does/did is literally equal to nothing. A private jet, that's three times as bad as a regular plane, is a far, far bigger problem than people using spray paint or driving cars.
Of course it's easy to say "we should work together because at the end we all want clean water, etc." but the reality is, as long as we blame normal people, and do not hold rich people, companies and governments responsible for it, we can all abandon cars and abandon eating meat but will still not even halt climate change.
Just as some extra info... fossil fuels do NOT come from dinosaurs. Fossil fuels come from marine plants such as algae... no dinosaurs. Great video... as always.
Ihre Kunstwerke und Videos machten mein Tag immer besser, jeder Upload bringt mir einfach Glueck und ich fuehlte begeistert, wollte etwas selbst machen. Dieses aber machte mir ziemlich traurig am Anfang. Ich fand immer Umweltschutz sehr wichtig, hatte aber wenig Moeglichkeiten etwas zu tun; wir koennen fast nicht recyceln hier wo ich wohne, manchmal nutze ich Autos, kann nicht ohne Plastik kaufen und esse auch Fleisch. Und ich hatte immer dieselbe Schuld, ich schreibe ein bisschen und ich war immer unsicher ob ich ueber diese Proleme schreiben darf, oder andere, wie Feminismus oder Rassismus, weil ich nichts tun um eigentlich zu helfen.
Aber spaeter verstand ich, dass Kunst kann auch helfen, diese Probleme zu diskutieren und loesen. Und Ihre Video brachte mir zum Traennen, weil so ein talenter Kunstler nie diese Gedanke haben soll. Sie sind immer so positiv und sprechen so offen ueber sehr wichtige Themen, Ihre Videos sind sehr optimistisch und humanistisch, und es tut mir so leid, dass Sie so gestresst wurden ob jemand etwas harsches ueber dieses Video und dieses Kunstwerk sagt :<
Ich mag das Werk so sehr, wie immer, und die Hoffnung anstatt Verzweiflung ist der beste Wahl fuer so ein Thema meiner Meinung nach. Die Idee ist sehr hell und ich hoffe, dass Sie selbst das Ergebnis moegen! Werde auf das Video ueber Frankreich sehr warten :)

Not a criticism at all, your English is very good and I absolutely love your channel. I just wanted to offer some info that you can take or leave. In some cases in English, the 'ch' letter combo is pronounced as a 'k', as in the name Chris. So, the words 'stomach' and 'chemtrails' are pronounced 'stomak' and 'kemtrails'. I have some things to say about the larger content of this video, but I'll save that for another comment.
Also erst mal Thema sehr genial umgesetzt. Außerdem hat JEDER das Recht sich zu dem Thema zu äußern und seine Meinung zu sagen. Einige der Punkte die du genannt hast, sind meiner Meinung nach auch Auslegungssache. Klar kann man z.B. sagen, dass es nich gut fürs Klima ist Kinder zu haben, da diese natürlich einen gewissen Bedarf an Ressourcen haben. Andererseits sind Kinder auch die nächste Generation, die etwas gegen den Klimawandel tun kann. Selbst wenn du nie Fleisch essen und kein Auto mit Verbrennungsmotor fahren würdest - irgendwer wird immer meckern weil das heutzutage, nicht nur bei diesem Thema, der Standart ist. Alleine schon die Tatsache, dass du dich im Vorfeld so ausführlich darauf vorbereitet hast, zeigt ja schon dass dir das Thema nich egal ist und wenn jetzt einige Leute der Meinung sind, dir nich mehr zu folgen, weil du kein Recht hättest dich zu dem Thema zu äußern, haben die noch ganz andere Probleme und sollten eher ihre Denkweise hinterfragen bevor Sie mit dem Finger auf andere zeigen. Jeder sollte tun was im Rahmen der Möglichkeiten liegt - that´s it.
who on earth says meat is not healthy? how on earth would we be here without meat? the way many animals are literally produced is the problem but meat, especially grass fed beef is pretty healthy - thats basically what our ancestors ate all the time. Nuts, fruits and others was just an addition

The world health organisation and science has classified certain meats as carcinogenic. I also think it's the amount of water and food used for very little return of proteins is an issue with deforestation. Our ancestors also r@ped and murdered people for very little, I'm glad we have evolved to be better than that 👊
We need gen 3 & 4 reactors built all over the world on top of the abundance of wind and solar for the areas that support it. They all fill a gap and together will succeed.

I love this work and I totally sympathise with your concerns about not being green ENOUGH to have an opinion. But it's not all or nothing, it's everyone doing lots of small things that'll make lots of big impacts. Reducing our impact is worthwhile, you don't have to kill yourself trying to be perfect. What a nice perfect treat on this stormy rainy day in the the UK. Always love your vids Smoe and I know you're a busy man and a family man but any future plans for any more 6 hour plus raw videos on the horizon? That raw video in the factory was one of the most inspiring and ASMR style relaxing videos I've watched. Those long-play uncut videos might not be for everyone with such busy lives these days but watching one of your pieces slowly being born and coming to life like that was amazing man. Roller vs Spray Gun (just a cheeky reminder ha ha) and Lastly Smoe. Have you ever been to Manchester UK. We have a massive graffiti scene in our City. I am only 6 minutes in and even for the first seconds of the video I can see that your battle was with overthinking man. Your fears about being called out are valid, of course, because it is the internet, and we people tend to suck big on the internet. But I think that these kind of people aren't your audience. And also, No one is and/ or "acts" perfectly according to their believes. So don't be to harsh on you. I consider a win with just being aware that we have room to improve ourselves and do things better. And if someone comes with that attitude or on the other side, just blatantly denying science and facts, ignore them and let them portray themselves with their words. As humans in today's society, it's almost impossible for any one person to live a lifestyle that is "perfect" when it comes to climate. I think that you acknowledging the areas of your life that people might complain about in the context of climate change is a mature act and I applaud you for it. It's also important to remember that while individuals can make changes in how they live their lives, the most important changes to be made need to be made by the giant corporations that are doing vastly the most damage to the ecosystem. To this end the best thing (I believe) that we can do as individuals is to vote (literally) for politicians who will responsibly wield their regulatory power over corporations, and to vote (figuratively) with our money by purchasing products from the corporations who seem to be doing the least harm. Lastly, as you've effectively pointed out in this video, we all have a stake in this and so we all deserve a place in this conversation. Keep up the good work!
P.S. I've also noticed that despite driving a car sometimes you ride a bike when you can, even going so far as to have a trailer for your bike so that you can pull around the supplies you need. That's great for your health and the health of the planet, so good job there!
So many people talk about climate change. Eating meat - painting responsible isn’t a big deal. And although it’s a nice sentiment to do what one can to help- however, when countries like china and India and pumping out so much pollution - that whatever we do as a person won’t help at all. At least that’s my belief. It’s like having one cop in a state full of thieves. So keep eating your meat and enjoy it

Man, you hit the nail square on the head. We do, what we can. Climate change is not a hoax, it's real. I like that you ask everyone to take their responsibility. This is important. At the same time, this does not exempt the large corporations (that have a MAJOR impact) from their responsibility. If anyone can make an impact, THEY can. But instead of pointing fingers, I agree with your take on this: let's all take our responsibility ourselves. (Actually, that's why I have a 'plastic soup series' of my art but that's besides the point here). Love the vid, love your art and thank you for being so honest/ vulnerable. You rock man.

I didn't think this was such a big debate, climate change is clearly happening, and I don't hear anyone blaming the random artist or individual for their small mistakes. The main issues i hear people talking about are the corporations that are allowed to do whatever they want(at least here in the USA) with no repercussions. The companies that are the biggest problems are probably the ones pushing the narrative that its your neighbors fault.
Being aware of climate change is already good. The responsibility is too big for individual people I think. I just vote for the party that tries to do good, in my opinion.
