I'm for Mark Madsen with Fredette a good choice also.
my brother in christ, you really think Jimmer is gonna balance being a USA 3x3 player and being a coach? be smarter man
I would love to have Coach Farnham at BYU. There’s been talk that they may choose to look at a nonmember head coach. Farnham would be awesome. It’s a pipe dream, but I would love it.
We'll miss you coach
Kendalldean is exactly right. He may even take byu's new incoming best recruits.
AC with the hard sell! Hilarious!
Jimmer Fredette! Next Head Coach!
you must not keep up with what Jimmer has been up to huh. how do you expect him to play for team USA and coach BYU Basketball?
Unfortunately BYU won’t take his advice
Nobody wants to be at BYU
@@chandlerhoward4486Plenty of guys want to have the opportunity to be a HC. BYU may not be a destination school, but plenty of young and guys serious about coaching will want the opportunity to be a HC at a Big12 school.
@@chandlerhoward4486.... you know nothing about BYU so why are you even commenting?
Murry from uconn best asst coach out there
Jimmer to BYU !
brotha, he plays for the USA 3x3 team, do you not keep up with BYU alum?
Mark Pope is UK. And now he's home!!
UCONN needs about 25+ more years of productivity to be anywhere near that list
How many championships have they won now? Five? .... and all in recent times?
If Austin Ainge wants to leave his role with the Celtics, might be a viable option
"BYU fans are very worried about the potential roster shakeup..." Since when was this situation about the fans? They get a 175-character fawning tweet and out-the-door 'goodbye.' See ya later -
@4:50 that’s just a flat out lie. Three people told us no before Rick Pitino said yes and two told us no before Calipari. Rupp handpicked Joe B Hall and that’s probably why we weren’t turned down a few times then. Our fan base has always been too much for some people. Best of luck to BYU though, thanks for mark pope we will take care of him for y’all. He’s loved here don’t mind the internet reaction everyone I know in real life is ecstatic.
NIL and travel and facilities at kentucky are aa good as it gets..... what are you talking about goofball
The comment on travel and facilities was about Cal not Kentucky. It was in context of getting Mark Madsen to come coach at BYU instead of Cal.
Should have been pitino
Mark Pope would never get a Win with BYU at the NCAA tournament, let alone a NAtty. He is interested in a team that can win.
Maybe UConn has made it onto that list…. They’ve won 6 national championships in the last 30 years. They’re on it.
I'm a UK fan and I think uconn is the best there is. They have won close to a quarter of the championships since the 90s
@@JusBellAndAri definitely. Their last 3 HC’s have won titles.
As a UK fan they may have taken our spot thanks Cal
I agree, I am indifferent when it comes to Uconn, but after that many championships how could they not be and those are all in recent times.
to bad BYU does not play on sundays , lost one hell of a good coach !
Pretty sure Sunday play had nothing to do with it. Money and prestige, yeah
BYU will suffer for years as a result of this change. Best players will leave. Recruiting will be destroyed. Forget next year. It will be a complete reset. Pope has left the program to make a ton of money but he has left the BYU program in a mess. Wouldn't surprise me if Pope recruits BYUs best players. Bad days ahead.
your ad was smart enough to hire pope, trust him to find another great name to continue what mark started there.
Pope went 19-15 just 3 years ago…it’s a crap shoot for both teams if this was beneficial to either. Kentucky might want BYUs best player and he will come off the bench at Rupp.
If I’m being honest I think Pope took a mediocre team made them good peaking in mid season and then failed to adjust leading to another early exit in the tournament I think we give pope way too much credit this season. Wish him luck in UK though
Agree!
I agree. He had a good team and couldn't win the first game in the playoffs.
He built that team and without him it may well fall apart
