I got the Celestron-Nature DX ED 8x42 for my wife she love them. There a little small for me. I would never pay $2,900 for the Zeiss 8x54 Victory HT. Lucky I got two new pairs of Carl Zeiss back in the 80's from East Berlin Germany for under $30 10x50 & 8x32. I still love them today.
Zeiss lenses are made in Europe which is a high cost location while Canon and Nikon lenses are made in Japan, a lower cost location. Image quality - In some lenses Zeiss image quality is supreme.
Most of them are out of my range. I was planning to but bushnell h2o 10*42 and was very happy. Now after looking at these, I feel like maybe I am far from best.
The Bushnell Legend E - Series are at the lowest rung on the ladder for the Series, but are an amazing value for what you pay. I just bought a pair and I am really impressed. Great value.
I have three pair of image stabilization binoculars, two Canon and one Fuginon , once you go down the image stabilization road, you’ll never go back to shakers again.
Good choice El Guapo , I too have the 18 x 50s when the IS kicks in it is like that are on a tripod - really! You do have to hold them pretty steady they have a 2 - 3 degree sensitivity. On the other hand the Fuginon (14 power) have a 5 - 7 degree sensitivity but the image has a ever so slight drift. Hope this helps. I use rechargeable batteries, topping them off before extended use. Regular batteries last Really long I have never run them out when using them. If they sit a lot they seem to slowly drain out over months.
Used to sell them, but people were returning them because of feeling nauseous. They're ideal for astronomy, though, when you don't need to do a lot of scanning
Didn't think I would never have to purchase binoculars. Got tickets for womans track and field need something to observe really close on they're great skills and athleticism..
Swarovski are better than Leica - less contrasty. I compared Leica 8x32 Ultravid with Swarovski 8x32 EL when I wanted a new pair. The EL were much better in difficult lighting conditions. Zeiss are superb, but their quality control is poor and after sales service non-existent. Leica too lack a good after-sales repair service, whereas Swarovski are second to none. I have no association with any of these manufacturers, I simply used to sell binoculars.
Migrant Hawker I agree with you %100. Had an issue with my Lica and sent multiple emails to their service department and never received any response but I also have a Swarovski Bino that is about 30 years old and noticed some of the lens coating was flaking off so I sent an email for service, received an instruction right away and after inspection they emailed me that it’ll take up to 3 weeks and charges might be added but guess what I received a “new” binocular in a about a week and they even included new lens covers that I never sent them and zero charges. I couldn’t believe it when I got the box open. Simply the best service that I have ever received from any company. Amazing and now I am a life long customer. Simply the best !
Hi. I wanted to buy binocular for traveling, supervision, bird watching, but I cannot choose model. Can you help me with choosing model of binocular? My budget 150-200$. Now I watch 2 brands. Nikon and Vortex. So, my questions: 1. Nikon Prostaff 7S or Vortex Diamondback? 2. Sizes and magnification, 8×42, 10×42, 10×50 which one the better?
I have the Vortex Diamond back 10x50 . 2 days in field eye relief cup was stripped . Sent back for repair ,other than that they seem good . Just ordered Leupold BX-1 10x50 as a spare pair .
All models of Nikon binoculars are best, within budget, very very sharp clearly, no collimation problem. I love Nikon. Celestron are the worst binoculars I purchased 4 different models all have collimation problem which can not be corrected.
These were not all „expensive“. He actually did a good job bcs the lower priced models arent very bad. The vanguards and bushnell legend ms are supposed to be very good. Atleast according to users and allbinos. You have to realize that a high prized binocular is about 1000-2500$. Thats were the best are prized like swarovski, zeiss and leica. And its pretty obvious... What do good glasses cost? In a bino is a lot more good glass and it has to have a case, coatings, waterproofing, etc. Its a wonder that vanguard apparently sells a really impressive piece of kit for „only 300 $ new“... Id search something like that used when on a low budget. Also good binos that can be found cheap used: Docter (after the wall fell in germany zeiss jena became docter) Optolyth maybe Carl Zeiss jena (7x50,10x50 - but on the heavy side and old) Hensoldt (has military versions or older dialyts) If you are lucky you get a vintage zeiss (oberkochen) from west germany. Best with t*p* printed on it. Those normally still go for 1000$ even tho they are 40 years old... Kowa has some decent binos on the affordable side So does minox And nikon apparently as well.

Why is the guy using the Vanguard binoculars with the eyecups down when he's not wearing spectacles? He has to move the binoculars away from his eyes to use them! Very poor publicity video
I have a $1,800 4.5-30x50 ERS Bushnell rifle scope that shows you must not be aware of Bushnell's high-end line of optics. This is a very popular scope for competitive long-range shooting. Not all Bushnell optics come in a clamshell package from your local discount store. Like everything, you get what you pay for.
Mala Raju depends... The best for low price is a used one. Depends on what a low price is for you. You can do your own research. Look at sites like allbinos, holger merlitz, or simply forums in your language
klo schuessel hey, you seem like you know your stuff. i am looking for a really really awesome pair of binoculars that’s so good it should be sold for more then what they’re being sold for.. kinda awesome, mainly 10x50 and nothing more then 1,000 bucks what would you recommend?
IDidintUploadNoVDOs do you want a porro? The „classic design“ or the modern dachkant( like in the vid) What do you want it for? 10x50 will be kinda heavy. Holger merlitz recommends the meopta meostar b1 10x50. Can be bought used for 300-500$ and its made in czech, which id consider a good thing. You could try a pair in a store. For a thousand you could also get a very new of zeiss, leica or swarovski. Those are basically all amazing and made in germany or austria. Youd have to get lucky and maybe find an example for under a 1000 thats basically new... Many buy these and have them laying around. Another „cheap“ one. 1. docter nobilem Those are probably even better than most modern 10x50. They will most likely be 15-20 years old and porro. So the weight will be somehwere around 1300grams to 1700 grams, not sure. Even cheaper... Docter or carl zeiss jena Old 10x50. Those are still highly regarded. They are called „dekarem“. They will also be on the heavier side. Now: 10x50 is used by hunters for vision in low light conditions or for observation of stars... At day you basically have little advantage over a way lighter and smaller bino with 10x30 or 10x40/42/etc. Id also consider 7x40/42 or 8x30 or 8x42. So not only 10x but also 8x. But i dont know what you want to do with them. Id strongly advise you to google: holger merlitz 10 rules laws of buying a bino. Or just visit his website and read some of his english articles. Hes a physics professor and bino enthusiast. :D Or simply go to allbinos ranking of 10x50 binos and click on the reviews. I think the docter nobilem rank right on top... For hiking or stuff like that, id suggest nothing heavier than 800-1000 grams thats already on the heavy side. Also the size is a problem when you are going places. You could also have one bigger bino: Docter nobilem 10x50 for home or the car... When you dont have to carry it around and maybe even have a tripod to keep it steady! Bcs keeping a heavy bino steady is not easy. And maybe a smaller and lighter bino for tours. Like: A nikon EII 8x30. These are legendary. Very wide field of view and very clear view also light... So easy to carry and hold. At daylight, youll not need a bigger bino imo. Otherwise... The docter 7x40 could be something, but test it. It heavier, has a wider field of view as well. Looks fucking amazing and its very very sturdy and will withstand a beating. But its rather expensive for what it offers, so there will be better deals to be made. You also cant go wrong with a 10x42 or 8x42 by zeiss/leica/swarovski. These will set you back between 600 and over a thousand used. Depending which „line“ you choose. For example: Conquest is zeiss mid range but made in germany and very tough. You could get a pair between 500-750$ used. Im sure. I have seen them go for prices like that. But id really advise you to test the nikon EII 8x30 porro with 150/1000m field of view. Youll also not loose money on these at all... Test the meopta meostar b1 10x50 or a pair of leica/zeiss/swarovski. Maybe docter nobilem if you have access to a pair and decide. Read holger merlitz 10 laws. Could definitely help.
IDidintUploadNoVDOs most of it depends also on where you are located. Im german and thats why there are a lot of german binos to choose from on the used market. If you are in the us: Nikon could be a very good option and id be surprised to hear about a shortage of german made binos :D. Also interesting: You could propably order a pair of vanguard endeavour ed II 10x42 for around 300$. So you could return them or buy one „used“(newsed) cheaper. As comparison to those i mentioned before. That bino ranks ridiculously high on the allbinos site. Bushnell legend m or forge could also be interesting. Also rank high and i imagine that there is no shortage of those in the us. If status is important :D Leica, swarovski, Zeiss! Nikon ranks a little lower in status Docter is for the guy that knows it used to be carl zeiss jena. Its a personal choice really. You should do some testing. I can really recommend smaller binos but no smaller than 8x30 for daylight. And ive never heard anything bad about the nikons eII‘s 8x30.
klo schuessel wow, thats a lot of great information bestowed on me at once lol thank you. i want some binoculars to look at the moon and stars at night. but mainly to view the animals close up and at a fare, during my day walks thru the park. i basically want an all around perfect pair of binoculars. i live in the us and know nothing about binoculars, so i did a little research and came up with this.. 10x42 or 10x50 Wide objective lens Porroprism Water and Fog proof Lots of high quality coatings Attachable lens caps
Fake review. Just comercials. Of course everyone claims their product is the best. It is simply dumb to put in the same cathegory Bushnells and Swarovskis. What a waste of time
Japanese lenses are good , but most Nikons are made in China with shitty glass and poor lenses. Buy something expensive , good and durable ; Zeiss, Swarowski german Steiner, Japanese Nikon. Forget Chinese crap optics ; they are more expensive in the long run. I still use my dads 10x50 marine glas Zeiss Jena WW2 binoculars and they are just fine .

that is the manufacturers own description they all say their product are the best what a waste of time just adverts

The „classic design“ or the modern dachkant( like in the vid)
What do you want it for?
10x50 will be kinda heavy.
Holger merlitz recommends the meopta meostar b1 10x50.
Can be bought used for 300-500$ and its made in czech, which id consider a good thing.
You could try a pair in a store.
For a thousand you could also get a very new of zeiss, leica or swarovski.
Those are basically all amazing and made in germany or austria.
Youd have to get lucky and maybe find an example for under a 1000 thats basically new...
Many buy these and have them laying around.
Another „cheap“ one.
1. docter nobilem
Those are probably even better than most modern 10x50. They will most likely be 15-20 years old and porro.
So the weight will be somehwere around 1300grams to 1700 grams, not sure.
Even cheaper...
Docter or carl zeiss jena
Old 10x50.
Or simply go to allbinos ranking of 10x50 binos and click on the reviews.
I think the docter nobilem rank right on top...
For hiking or stuff like that, id suggest nothing heavier than 800-1000 grams thats already on the heavy side.
Also the size is a problem when you are going places.
You could also have one bigger bino:
Docter nobilem 10x50 for home or the car...
When you dont have to carry it around and maybe even have a tripod to keep it steady! Bcs keeping a heavy bino steady is not easy.
And maybe a smaller and lighter bino for tours.
Like:
A nikon EII 8x30.
For example:
Conquest is zeiss mid range but made in germany and very tough.

That bino ranks ridiculously high on the allbinos site.
Bushnell legend m or forge could also be interesting.
Also rank high and i imagine that there is no shortage of those in the us.
If status is important :D
Leica, swarovski, Zeiss!
Nikon ranks a little lower in status
Docter is for the guy that knows it used to be carl zeiss jena.
10x42 or 10x50
Wide objective lens
Porroprism
Water and Fog proof
Lots of high quality coatings
Attachable lens caps
Fake review. Just comercials. Of course everyone claims their product is the best. It is simply dumb to put in the same cathegory Bushnells and Swarovskis. What a waste of time
18x 50
Lieca all the way.

Nikon aculon weeeeery gooood swarovski shit
Krzysztof Super lol.
Someone clearly has to shittalk what he cant afford
Japanese lenses are good , but most Nikons are made in China with shitty glass and poor lenses. Buy something expensive , good and durable ; Zeiss, Swarowski german Steiner, Japanese Nikon. Forget Chinese crap optics ; they are more expensive in the long run. I still use my dads 10x50 marine glas Zeiss Jena WW2 binoculars and they are just fine .
