I love SW's. I was brought up in Fitchburg, (not bragging, lol) moved out when i was ten. watching the B and M's going thru all the time, including cabooses . I'm 60 now. There was a wedding train that went thru Fitchburg, rented out by a couple (who got married on it) steam from Steam Town. took all day to wait for it, i remember it was suposed to go thru around 9:15 AM, didn't get there till 3. long day at the tracks, was worth it too.
SWs were common in that area from what I can recall. It sounds like that you saw a ton of activity while growing up in Fitchburg. That's certainly a way to get married that's for sure!
Some great memories there!!! Was there for the last ever train south on the line...
It must've been sad to see the last train over there. I'm sure it was great while it lasted.
Thanks for posting this!
Of course! You are welcome! ☺

So great to get this rare footage. Was this a special run? All the cars were North Stratford.
Thank you! I don't believe so! From what little I know, I think this railroad did a lot of furniture hauling.
