Hiking to Lake Katherine with Grandma! Mount Zirkel Wilderness

Grandma came out to visit us in Colorado! We were excited to show her some Colorado wilderness. Hiking to Lake Katherine is a great way to access the beauty and solitude of the area. This was a perfect short but rewarding day hike in Mount Zirkel Wilderness, located about 45 miles west of Walden in north-central Colorado.
After hiking to Lake Katherine, there are many opportunities to extend the hike and even visit other beautiful lakes in the area. You can't go wrong!
