  • I believe this kit was made around 1990. It was a fantastic RC Airplane. Midwest started selling these Pitts Specials around 1967. This build series will cover all the techniques I learned and the tools I used to make kits, as I did in the '80s and '90s.

    I don't think enough emphasis is put on the meditative aspect of building balsa airplanes. The more focused you can be, the better the result.

    Nice. You should try homesote for your building surface. Last many years and easily takes t pins. I'll have to try that glue. I use epoxy on my doublers. Mike c

      I tried homasote 440. Wasn't a fan. Seemed to soft for my liking. :)
