This patch it's been so disheartening for me, i cleaned the fuck out of Sumeru, have done almost 100 pulls and i just buy the wm, so you can guess I have gotten almost all you can get this update... NOT A SINGLE CANDACE!! 😭 Diluch at 75, 6 Kukis and 30000 Sayus.. im so done with this crap..

Eventually you realise Genshin's entire gacha system is built around pity. It's specifically designed in such a way that 90% of the time you have to border at least soft pity to get a 5 star pull. And then of course have to toss a coin for the chance to even get the 5 star you actually want and not some standard banner f2p 5 star that you can get without ever spending a single primo. The whole thing lives and dies on pity because you don't normally get shit outside of it and that's just awful. The pity system in a sense is worthless and only exists to conceal the absurdity of a 0.6 (0.3 with 50/50) rate that rarely pops outside of pity. Perfectly crafted to make you spend as much as possible between every 5 star drop. Meanwhile I do one multi on Dokkan and get the new Cooler first drop. It's actually absurd how Genshin gets away with it.
I've played games where the 5* equivalent has around the same odds as dropping as Genshin, but no pity system... and it's awful. Both those games also were super stingy with their currency, and there was no guarantee at all; there was like 30 other characters you could get besides the one that you were pulling for, and they all had equal odds of dropping. Genshin isn't super generous, but it could be far worse. I think it's very balanced (and that's coming from me, just lost my Zhongli 50/50 at hard pity to Diluc and still sad I have to skip Venti because I want Albedo more)
@@needzzzsagain orrrr they can not be predatory and just offer the character through wishes or for $50 in the shop (still super predatory price for a game w no endgame) but that's better than being at 0 pity on a 5050 and needing 160 wishes ($300) to get the character u want. Those other games you mentioned aren't even worth the play if the rates r that bad lmao
@@genshinwhale3526 The only time you'd have to spend $300 on a 5* character is if you're wanting the limited 5* every single banner, which is not required or necessary. If getting a 5* character was super easy we wouldn't see any diversity in teams or builds; we already have a problem with everyone using Zhongli or Kazuha, imagine if they were practically just handed out. 5* characters (or even many 4*s) are not at all required to beat any of the games content, so they shouldn't be handed out. Besides, the gacha aspect is a huge part of online content, so removing that would be stupid for both Hoyoverse and the content creators who make videos about it. If you're expecting cheap or free items, you're not going to find them in any gacha game hahaha

Once I had all the characters I stopped pulling entirely. The only way the game could get people to pull again was to make the characters stronger and stronger, and then powercreep happened. For some players (including myself), saving up for a specific character adds a sort of endgame goal Genshin doesn't provide. Kinda long rant but I am a random person online so my only personality trait is arguing with random people on the internet I guess LOL take care
I got scammed by genshin. i was supposed to get a 5* character since the last 5* i got was weapon in standard banner but they gave me another weapon and i'm pissed about it since i was hoping to get tighnari and out of every 5* weapon they gave me another claymore and i dont play any claymore character 😭
Maybe standard banner doesn't carry over to other banner? For 4* there is also the rule that you can get two weapons in a row before a character is guaranteed or two characters in row before a weapon is guaranteed (Edit: that is within 30 pulls). Maybe the same goes for 5*. Actually I got two 5* weapons (Amos bow and Jade winged spear) from standard banner before I finally received qiqi from standard banner. [As in not from losing 50/50] TLDR: You didn't get scammed just unlucky.
