Man I feel old....but I close my eyes, feel the summer heat , Brooklyn NY,86th Street ,cars backflow blasting KTU , Don't stop to the planet rock, Donna summers... it's memories that you keep on brain shelves.
Hi, Mr. Scotto. Welcome to the channel. (Smiles) I hope you and your loved ones are well and will remain so during these challenging times.
You feel old, huh? Well, I can assure you that you're not alone. (Smiles) You'll find that sentiment expressed on a number of UA-cam channels that showcase dance classics. I completely agree with your amazing reflections of old New York. I grew up in Queens (Far Rockaway) and would travel all over the city to hit the hottest clubs, including the legendary "Roseland" on 57th Street. Saturday nights there were nothing short of phenomenal. I couldn't go to many of the clubs in Brooklyn (like Bay Ridge) because I wasn't welcomed, if you know what I mean. Still, other clubs and people in the borough were accepting and kind. The women were pretty damn hot, too! (Smiles)
Thank you for stopping by. Come back anytime to listen to other remixes and "The Classics Cafe." Your family and friends are invited to do the same. Take care! Scorpio

NOTE: Many of you have posted and continue to post amazing and heartfelt tributes to the DJ icon, and I greatly appreciate it. If members of his family visit the channel, I'm sure they will as well. However, there are some who are taking the opportunity to attack Paco because of situations that occurred in his personal life. I have two things to say about that. (1) Anyone that attacks or defames a dead man (who many considered to be a very good man) can expect a visit from karma, and she can be a real bitch! (2) This channel is all about harmony, unity and bringing all types of people together through music. Negative energy and people will never be welcomed, and comments of that nature will be deleted and people will be blocked. Period! Keep positive....or keep steppin'. Scorpio
Very well said.
I don’t know what I did to deserve having grown up listening to Paco, Crocker, Roscoe, The Bronx The 80’s DISCO!!!! Nothing else compares! Thank You God!!:
Hi, JLove. Welcome to my channel. Thank you for your comment. I couldn't agree more and know exactly how you feel. Those were great people, and it was a great time. I really miss it. Stay safe. 🦂
Paco brought Latin flavor to the radio and played the best in dance music. He also gave the local Deejays the spot light putting on famous Dj battles over the radio waves. Thank you Paco! RIP.
Hi, New York Rican Soul Podcast. (Smiles) I sincerely apologize for the delayed response. I agree with your statement. Thank you for listening to my tribute. I really appreciate it. You and your family please stay safe during these extremely difficult times. Scorpio

Whenever i walk my dog at night i try to signal the mothership to take me back, back into time. GOLDEN days of disco. I didnt have a care in the world. God bless Paco.
I know what you mean about "The Mothership", man. With everything that's going on these days, I really long for the simpler times. If it wasn't for creative writing and mixing, I probably would've gone crazy a long time ago. (Smiles) You and your family be safe. Scorpio

@@marvinmarvin8478 - I hate to say it, but you're right. Roger that.

Paco and the summer of 80s perfect together.
Hi, Mr. Jones. (Smiles) Thank you for listening. I appreciate you taking the time to do so. I agree with your statement. It was a magical time in New York City and the country, for the most part. It definitely was light years away from the world we currently live in. I often find myself thinking...."If we could just turn back the clock to when people actually communicated, helped each other, worked hard, and hit the clubs on Saturday nights to dance their cares away and, maybe, 'get lucky.'" (Smiles) Music was life, and life was music. Sadly, there's no time machine to transport us back to that period. However, thanks this channel and others, people can reflect on the good times through the mixes and remixes. That, Mr. Jones, make me very happy. You and your family please stay safe. Scorpio

Thank you very much for listening and commenting, Dj O. I really appreciate it.
Yes, I know what you're talking about!!! (Smiles) Paco would say that during his "Super Mix" segment featuring the legendary "Latin Rascals", whom I loved!!
DIsco 92 WKTU, it's deejays and dance mix shows forever changed the music and radio landscape in New York City and abroad. They certainly had an indelible impact on my life as a deejay, remix specialist and music lover.
Incidentally, you can find "Brooklyn's Own" Joe Causi on LinkedIn. I communicate with him from time to time. (Smiles) He's with WCBS 101 FM.
May Paco, Carlos de Jesus and Rosco forever rest in peace.
You and your loved ones please take care, O.

I grew up in Williamsburg, Brooklyn listening to Paco, dancing in the Streets of Los Sures…still remember stealing the power from the light posts so we can DJ on the streets 💪😂🇵🇷
Hi, Mr. Perez. Welcome to my channel. Weeeeeepaaaaa!! 🙂 You are so right! I used to tap juice from the light posts on the beaches of Far Rockaway, which is where I spent most of my life. The cops would show up and join the dance party instead of ticketing us. I didn't know they taught break dancing at the police academy! I'm messing with you, man. 😂 Thank you for listening. Whether listening while driving in the NY metro area on the way to the club with friends for an evening of dancing or at home, his style and voice helped make the disco era unforgettable. Hey, Captain.
First and foremost, I hope you and your family are well. Thank you very much for taking the time to listen to my tribute mix. More importantly, thank you for posting such an incredibly beautiful statement. I'm sure "The Latin Legend's" family will be touched if they read it.

Hi, Mr. Ferguson. (Smiles) How are you? I hope all is well with you and your loved ones. Indeed! I would do the same thing after school. On the weekends, since I grew up in Far Rockaway (NY), I would grab my radio and hit the beach. I would spend the entire day playing handball ("Who's got next?!"), drinking "Sunny Dews" like they were going out of style, and watching girls/women in bikinis. The fact that WKTU was blasting from the court made everything perfect! Great, great times. Hey!! Did you put your batteries in the freezer to keep them juiced like everyone else?
