    I'm almost 2 months into my weight loss journey and been documenting my results daily. What I'm extremely happy about it is that I always go with what's comfortable for me. Now I'm able to implement so many strategies, with weight-lifting, calorie counting and eating at a calorie deficit being the core of it all. I'm now down from 289.7 lbs now at 269.6. Sustainability and consistency is key among other things.

    Carnivores don’t restrict calories. Meat with the fat is actually going to be higher calorie. The point is to get comfortably full (and protein is more satiating). But we know most people don’t eat because they’re hungry, they eat because it’s there. Have you done a video on the GLP-1 meds? It seems like such a miracle drug for so many. I’m not a proponent, but then I only want to lose 20-25 lbs.

    Hi Eric, i love watching your videos every week. You provide such valuable information!!! I am a type 2 diabetic. Can i lose fat in a calorie deficit eating a moderate amount of carbohydrates, even though I am a diabetic and insulin resistant? Can you talk a little bit more about insulin and its role when it comes to burning fat. The reason I bring this up is because I heard from many experts on youtube that its impossible to lose fat if your insulin levels are high or if you are insulin resistant and consome carbohydrates. I woud really love to hear your input on this. Thank you so much!

    I'm on my 2nd round of calorie deficit. I've always been 130 -135 lbs (I'm 137lbs now, i lift weights) my whole adult hood. After children everything turned haywire.
    I'm short (5'3") so a 10-15 lbs gain weight is unacceptable too me. It is noticeable. I'll look obese. It's a huge no go for me. I despise loosing weight. So this time I'm going slow and know now that people around me can eat alot but I will not. I can't. Losing weight as a short person is tricky and our mental state needs to be on point. It's so hard to lose its kind of sad. 😢

      You're absolute right, the mind games are real. If you lose a little bit of weight at a time, it's simple to keep it healthy and sustainable. Taking little breaks and maintaining your new lower bodyweight prevents you from going crazy. It takes longer this way but you're far more likely to keep your weight off. Best of luck to you.

    I'm 5 months into my weight loss endeavor. Started in July just started exercising more. Then by the next month I was counting the calories I ate and slowly began cutting things off and sticking to a 2k at first now I try to reach 1.5k oress calories a day. I weigh myself everyday sometimes multiple times a day. I have lost about 50 pounds. However in October I have noticed multiple plateaus I've went up and down currently trending up feeling shitty because of it. I'm trying not to let it bug me I'm not going to quit or give up I know if I keep going it'll be fine. My initial goal was to lose 44 pounds by the end of the year I did I'm happy even though over the course of the past 5 days with thanksgiving I went from 392-399 annoying. I want to lose 100 next year but I'm slowly realizing that may not be possible I may adjust to 50 lbs hopefully. I lift weights 4 times a week just increased the weight again of my dumbbells. I do squats. I do cardio on the treadmill the same 4 times a week 3 miles a day over 7k steps. When I started I could barely do 15 minutes now I do over an hour. I feel better everything is easier in my life now but I'm still just seething when everyday I don't see the number go down but I know it can't everyday.

      If your goal is purely to lose weight, then a deficit is all you have to be concerned about. However, that comes that the price of losing weight in the form of fat, as well as muscle mass. If your goal is to lose fat, and maintain (in some cases, increase) muscle mass, then being in a caloric deficit of about 300-500 cals, while hitting a daily protein target (0.8g - 1.1g of protein per pound bw) will be your focus. Of course, consistency is king💪

    • @comfyweightloss
      @comfyweightloss 11 днів тому

      @@bananamilk1976 Agreed, consistency is indeed king. The only thing I go for differently though is that I only aim for .8g of protein per pound of my goal bw. I currently weight 270, following .8g per lb of bw would give me 214g of protein(which often is pretty hard for me to achieve), but if I use 180 lb(goal bw) I'd only need 144g and I can feel my muscles growing nonetheless.
