I really wish Taylor Swift would do a rock album. She would rip it. Many people wish she would. She just has the ability to do a really great one. We all can keep hoping
Taylor is a shapeshifter when it comes to crossing genres. She does it effortlessly which just blows my mind. Please react to "Carolina" next. It's from the movie "where the crawdads sing". You would love it because it is absolutely haunting. It was recorded with instruments from the 1950's and in only 1 take the way it was done back then. You will be impressed.
It takes special talent to take a song you wrote and recorded as a teen and flip its genre many years later. Listen to the original, and you'll appreciate that even more.
Speaking of the Rolling Stones, for this 1989 Tour, she had Mick Jagger stop by and sing with her "Satisfaction". She had MANY artists come out and either walk out on stage and say hi to the audience and dance or they sang together a popular song of theirs on her tour. It was sick. From Ricky Martin to Selena Gomez to Idina Menzel. Everyone came to this tour. And I love that about her. That she can jump different genres so easily while still being true to who she is. And she looks jaw-dropping, gorgeous rocking out with that electric guitar. I so want her to delve into heavy rock. I want that rock album lol.
This girl is just phenomenal, I cannot believe she has just six more live shows on her eras tour! What she will do next I think will be amazing! A hard worker and a true talent! She certainly out did her haters and put forth her message! Love her to bits!
This version is SO different than the original. Can’t wait for you to check out this music video. Very different vibe. 🦁🐯🐻🐱🐼🤓 The tour was 2015ish. So glad you watched Miss Americana!!
Its amazing she took her pop song We Are Never Getting Back Together and made it a rock song for her tour. I'm hoping one day she will do a rock album. I would suggest you watching Wildest Dreams/Enchanted live during this 1989 tour and Out of the Woods. Both amazing performances by her.
When this was released it was a pop hit. In this performance she turns into a rock goddess!! I really hope she comes around to doing a rock album at some point 🙏🙏🙏
Been waiting for this ....one of my fave Taylor clips. That whole tour is 🔥 TBH ...the Out of the Woods to close it is magnificent. Yeah rock Taylor album for the win!
Another great live performance is Cornelia Street Live From Paris. Just Taylor and an acoustic guitar. It’s a great storytelling song and her vocals are incredible on it.
I read in an article years ago that her eye color is electric blue. My husband and I were able to see her up close during the Rep tour, and those piercing blue eyes of hers are gorgeous.
Yes IZZY!!!!! I knew you would love this! 1989 was her break out pop album. This song just sounds so different to the original. I love all of her live performances. My favorite of all time is "Death by a thousand cuts" live from Paris. You'd like the lyrics from that one too. Its based on a movie called "someone great" It's from her album Lover that she didn't get to go on tour for because of covid. I'm sure you are also so overwhelmed with what to watch. Great reaction as always!
Great reaction, Izzy, thanks! Yep, it's kind of insane how she can switch to different genres and nail it, but there's "Taylor" stamped all over it still. Maybe your friend Jonny is...Ready For It? 🙂
She really just drives into so many more genres if you listen to the “original We are never getting back together” it sounds different and was way over played on the radio which is why a lot of Taylor haters say her music is bad. But this is an anthem for anyone who has ever had those toxic on and off again relationships so many can relate. Please listen to False God live from SNL! Or Carolina from the movie soundtrack Where the Crawdads Sing! Love your reactions Izzy❤
I've seen performances where she stripped this down to just her, and where she did it as a country - pop circus act (Red Tour and the Grammies). She cowrote it for Red (2012) with Max Martin and Shellback; you probably know the other two songs they contributed to as well ---- 22, and I Knew You Were Trouble. Martin and Shellback were executive producers (along with Taylor) for 1989 and Reputation. The roster of artists they've worked with is astonishing.
Sometimes I wonder how things would have turned out for her career if she continued to work with both of them even today. And what trajectory her music would have taken. But she can def do it all huh? 1989 was always my fav. Then again it's the only tour of hers I actually got to see in the flesh. I here lots of people who seem to not like when jack is involved. Thoughts? Do u have any preferences? #SwiftieHere 👋
This performance is so iconic, one of my favorites. She does have some rock-ish songs especially on Speak Now so yeah I can see her doing a rock album one day like she's 34 and have done so much and still we have so much to look forward to. Can't wait for your reaction to Miss Americana!
Thanks, Tatiane! It's available now on Patreon and I will edit it down for UA-cam when I have the time. www.patreon.com/posts/miss-americana-116129863?Link&
Love this! The studio version is very "pop". I always love how she changes songs for a live performance, but still keeping true to the original . The other great performance from this tour is Outa
First, his is an epic performance by Taylor as always. I just wanted to mention that her eyes are so blue in this because they over-saturated the blue and red as this performance was part of the 1989 World Tour DVD (also on Apple music) that was in 3D. All the best. Have a Swift day.
I've been hoping for a rock album ever since I became a Swiftie, and hopefully, she's inspired by her boyfriends taste in music and finally makes MY dream come true lol
I love this performance! It shows how versatile Taylor is. Great artist! 🎸 Now I do disagree with you regarding the band, I loved how they were jamming out, everyone including the back-up vocalists enjoyed performing! 🎤 🎶
This is a great version of this particular song I think partly because the original is def more of her glitter gel pen pop sound. This is edgier of course and just fun to watch…Taylor with the growl!
her albums usually drop in the mid to late fall (Lover and folklore in summer are exceptions); the tour start time is in spring, Feb or March. Early tours were longer; Fearless lasted about 14 months, long enough that she wrote most of the next album (Speak Now, 2010) while on tour. TTPD in that sense ought to be less of a surprise, as she was going through it as the tour started (always gets her going). You can look up any of the tours (or albums, or films) from her base page in Wikipedia. Even the songs mostly have their own pages. 😶 1989 toured in 2015; Reputation in 2018; Lover & & &. are touring now. This has been her longest tour so far.
Izzy those blue eyes can Pierce your soul.😉 This is such a great performance from her 2015 Tour. For me this 1989 World Tour is one of my favorites. I love the edgy Taylor in both this and Reputation..I truly believe she could do a rock/rap album. Miss Americana is a very good documentary to understand her and all she's gone through. Yep the old Taylor's dead and she came back swinging to all her haters starting with Reputation. I call the Reputation Tour her Revenge Tour. ❤Stay safe
That makes me so happy when another artist says that he appreciates her. It’s fabulous to hear, Izzy. I’m joining Patreon so I can watch your Miss Americana reaction!! Thank you for the link!! I’ve been married 30 years and my husband knows how much I love this incredible artist. Taylor is one of a kind. Her documentary is so well done. I have watched it twice and it’s still outstanding. She just makes me happy. 🤗🤍
Thanks for joining! It's early days for my Patreon but for now I am planning to put out weekly Taylor related reactions on there, and from there I'll see.
I have never thought of Neil Young as country. This tour was in 2015. This is the rock version, the OG version is nothing like this. She also did a rock version of I Knew You Were Trouble, no electric guitar, really, really good. For her Red Tour, she used her electric guitar (a red one of course) quite a bit. Nice Reaction.
Yeah the other day when he said something about Taylor's sexy era or something to that effect, I forgot to leave a comment saying if u think so here(was her rep tour song he reacted to think the intro) was gonna tell him he hasn't seen nothing till he reacts to vigilante shit performed live on the eras tour 😉😜#swiftie 👋
Hehehe "The guitarist jumping around like McFly." Your pop culture references are great. I watched your Patreon Miss Americana video and you saying you were raised by Sam Beckett made me smile. My favourite thing about Taylor is her ability to switch genres. This original song was deliberately poppy and not rock (the lore is she did it to annoy Jake Gyllenhaal who only listened to 'credible' indie artists when they dated.) I'd love to see you watch the darker version of I Knew You Were Trouble from this exact 1989 Tour (which was in 2015 in answer to your question.) Great reaction as usual :)
Haha. Yeah, I might have been a bit harsh with that comment, they're only enjoying themselves after all. I'll do that version of I Knew You Were Trouble soon, Kell! Thanks for the support!
My favorite part about the original is that it was meant to be overly "pop-py" because of the distain Jake had for pop music 😂 then this song became known worldwide.
...oh no I wrote a long reaction and lost it 😔😭 Izzy is there a way for us to correspond with u? I signed up for ms americana but couldn't stay. And I accidentally erased what I wanted to say here but I did copy it somewhere. Anyways if u feel comfortable cause I haven't seen u put say like Instagram or a place we can follow or correspond. But maybe it's ur just more private. Sorry for this stupid response. But before I end I have to say I luv your complicated very deep way of thinking. To me that's a talent! Esp the way you are able to put those thoughts into words 👏 💜 And u give that to us in ur t Swift reactions and I luv it! And I've been wanting to say I luv all ur "fits" as the kids say today. 🎉💜 👏 Oh my very first thing was u should def check out her "blank space" the Sydney 1989 performance. It is so impressive on many levels and I won't ruin it 😜😊
I haven't got any other socials but I do reply to comments here, it just takes me a while sometimes to get through them all. Glad you're enjoying the content.
😢ok. That's fine I understand I'm like u more of a private person and some of the things I wanted to say I wouldn't blast into the comments but alls well and thank u 💜 👏😊😊
Please post the Documentary reaction on UA-cam , you can split it into 2 parts if its hard to edit it in one video But please please please post it on UA-cam
It’s called Speak Now… and before you come for me yes I’m aware that it only has rock elements. To be honest I doubt Taylor would want to do a rock album with the way she’s treating Speak Now in the Eras tour. Also, the Olivia Rodrigo comparisons online would be annoying to see.
“Fully converted, fully on board” makes this Swiftie very happy
Right? I smiled immediately. 🫶🏼🤩🥰

Speak Now has several rock songs
I have been saying that forever!! Maybe now that life has changed and she's got a man by her side that love rock she'll be inspired? Fingers crossed.

Agreed!
Great great song
I love Carolina! I’d love it if she’d do a bluegrass album. Seven has a similar sound and they’re two of my favorites.
She is beyond genre at this point...
theres a short and longer version, make sure its the longer one!
The original is pure pop so it’s so cool to see this version
It takes special talent to take a song you wrote and recorded as a teen and flip its genre many years later. Listen to the original, and you'll appreciate that even more.

@ thanks edited my post accordingly
I have enjoyed watching Izzy become fully on board and fully converted 😊
Out Of The Woods (1989 World Tour) (4K) live for more the bluest eyes ever and one of my very favorites.
My favorite version of that song.
And it’s also obvious that her band loved rocking out to this!!
i looooove this live performance, and I'm very happy you like taylor and are fully on board now ❤
Taylor is her own genre. I love when she goes rock. 😊
This version is SO different than the original. Can’t wait for you to check out this music video. Very different vibe. 🦁🐯🐻🐱🐼🤓 The tour was 2015ish. So glad you watched Miss Americana!!

the way this tour is edited makes my epilepsy go craaaazyyy
Oh shoot that stinks. Sorry to hear this. Never thought about that! Be careful 🙏 💜 #Swiftie
The point at which they EDITED OUT the dancer holding her up so she just leans in a gravity-defying pose is so wild lmao
@@darsyniathat's in blank space Sydney 1989 tour. I was gonna request he do that next as it's also my fav!!!

I also love the original live version of this song from the Red tour, especially the one where Ed Sheeran makes a guest appearance 🤡
Once again a great reaction ❤
Honestly this is a top 3 performance from Taylor ❤️🥹
