I said in the video they might have their own AI problem solver but it has to be free to compete with ChatGPT and chegg has to make money from ads or something. We’ll see what happens…
Thank you for the analysis. Do you see any value in this company at the current stock price? Perhaps there is value with their subscriber base, or data set of questions and answers? Also, I keep reading that ChatGPT is not a great source for learning certain subjects and provides wrong answers a larger percentage of times. Maybe there is value in their small language model that is more focused than ChatGPT's model. It just seems like there has to be some sort of value. Thank you
Not really sure because their numbers are all over the place and inconsistent. If ChatGPT is wrong there are other AI resources to use instead of them. In terms of their subscriber base etc. it’s hard to put a valuation on it cause it’s constantly fluctuating and their balance sheet is also terrible.
@@TheAustrianInvestor Thank you again. I should probably stop kidding myself, cut my loses and move on. AI changed everything. This is like Kodak when digital cameras arrived. Hard to admit when you are wrong and take loses.
@@patricks2695 Yeah companies come and go. Anything can happen with chegg the future is unknown. If you choose to sell it's your own decision (nothing I say is financial advice)
The company is going to be gone in the long run. However, at its current prices, it is an astounding deep value play. With its FCF and income compared to market cap, the slightest hint of not-terrible news could set the price careening upwards. I would say you could have a more exciting exit price in the very near term. Don’t sell just yet, you’ve held on forever already
@@Fishmans Thank you, yes, I agree. I am still holding and it's going to be a nail bitter, but with all of my research, I do feel there is value here. Although they are losing subscribers to ChatGPT, I do think Chegg is going to create a niche where their service will be for more difficult answers. They are also experiencing growth with their Mathway unit as ChatGPT is a language model and provides incorrect answers for math questions at times (for now). I don't think it's as bad as the market thinks it will be as it's been reported that students use both ChatGPT and other paid services like Chegg. I think they will stop the hemorrhaging soon.
Do you see in the future whether Chegg will be able to compete with ChatGPT and other AI companies?

@@TheAustrianInvestor yeah correct. Is any collaboration done between chegg and chatgpt to make AI robot to solve questions
