Glad to see the r32s still having the good fight for survival and saying: “No, I’m not ready to retire yet, all of the rail fans love me and don’t want me to retire”.
Some chronological perspective... The Beatles were starting to sell hit records in America by the time R32s were beginning their New York service! Those now abandoned elevated tracks were fully functional and carrying soon to be demolished 1930's subway cars when the R32 made its debut. That next stop in the distance (BROADWAY JUNCTION) was a helluva lot busier back in 1965. If only the powers that be had the foresight NOT to demolish most of those old subway lines, we'd have way more transportation options. Those American made mid-60's subway cars seem way more reliable than that car that decoupled by Chambers Street....🇵🇷🇺🇸🤣
Yeah I remember back in the day living in Brooklyn New York when I was a kid Poppy's to take us to your corny island me and my sister so we take the train to Coney island that was back in 67 all the way to 69 love New York love Brooklyn 🇵🇷
Weird how the r32s were built without a door closing chime or warning tone to warn the passengers that the doors are closing and that the train is preparing to depart the station. It’s very important to have that on subway rapid transit vehicles because blind people who lost their whole vision or part of it and have blurry vision could not see that the doors are closing and they could close on them and crush them or hurt them very badly, sending them to the hospital with severe or life-threatening injuries.
Why do I see r179s? I thought all of them were pulled from service due to a train decoupling in the middle of the 10-car set in June of 2020 while in service on the A?
I can see you r179. 😂 You can’t hide. 🤣 Even if you try, I can still see you as clear as day light, even though it’s cloudy out and not bright sunny. Out in the distance, Lol. 😅
All train drivers with mask. Beautiful the trains outside, without graffiti. Once upon a time, New York subway was famous for graffiti and now is in other metro as Rome.
Respect for recording during the early pandemic times
R32’s are the sexiest rolling stock ever made
Uhhh uuhhhh uhhhh uhhhhh🚝🚆
Alabama Avenue is so interesting because the platform is so narrow and an uncompleted express track above the station canopy.
Ikr
Agreed
Who thinks the R32's are better than the R179's?
Not me
Not me. The R160 and R188s are usually the better cars nowadays.
R179
Better than the R179s, but no longer as cool as the R143, R160 (8843-9102) or R188
Me, I really like the SMEE look
Glad to see the r32s still having the good fight for survival and saying: “No, I’m not ready to retire yet, all of the rail fans love me and don’t want me to retire”.
Wait, taken on July 3rd??? I WAS ON THAT TRAIN!

2:53 imagine you were in that train and you thought the train was gonna open doors by then but it starts moving again
I would freak out

@Carlos Khan ok

Nice train 👍☕regards from Indonesia
Aren’t the R32’s the oldest rolling stock in MTA’s fleet?
@mo zack that's what I thought. Thanks for confirming. Old as they may be, I'll be damned of they don't still look good.
Yes. They were, in 2020, at 56 years old, built by Budd Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1964-65.
Those look similar to the broad street line cars in Philadelphia
Because they are both made by budd&st.lous
@@lopwr1212 they were only made by budd.
