Kubrick was a master. I am in awe of how he made this film. His attention to detail is amazing. One of my favorite films, all three by Kubrick.

I do now realize ,how Kubrick was able to create this masterpiece.(because I've often wondered how brilliant he'd have to have been to achieve it.) Kier Dullea as well as the older gentleman make it clear just how capable this man was. a bonafide genius. because that word is overused in general, I had to hear it from two guys who were there .one of the greatest films I have ever seen.

He was like Orson Welles on Citizen Kane. Reigning in the right talent for the particular aspects of film cinematography, writing, producing, editing, and special effects, while also participating in those aspects. Created monumental works of art.

I was fortunate to see it on the big screen and that is the only way to really appreciate the movie. It made me want to read the book, along with 2010, 2061, and 3001 the Final Oddysey.

The first time I saw the movie, it was on a local TV station. They actually cut out all the dialog scenes on the space station, as well as the briefing room scene on the moon base! Imagine trying to follow the story in that cut! I finally got to see the proper version when it came out on VHS tape.

I first saw 2001 in the year 1979. It was aired as a late night movie on TV. By that time I already was a big science fiction fan and loved watching Star Trek which was already syndicated. I immediately recognized Gary Lockwood ( Frank Poole ) whom co starred on Star Trek's first regular season episode. I found that 2001 was more of a visual movie as opposed to film story telling that had been done up to that time where dialog was the driving force through a particular story. It is not surprising to learn that since 2001, that film makers of today had been greatly influenced by Kubrick's filming style.

Bruh, the ending is about how the Devil control Earth. He done took them apes and taught them to kill. Evolved them until they got into space. Then he took the astronaut and made him into a 'Left Eye' convert who could rule over the world. That why the Star Baby got only a left eye. That the Devil's eye, bruh.

PROVEN FACT VIDEOS do many ppl share your same idea?

    • @johnellizz
      @johnellizz 4 роки тому

@@mikerose51 There's a lot of allusions to the idea that a 'One Eye God' which is actually like the Devil or a super-advanced artificial intelligence has been perpetrating this scam on planet after planet. The EYE has recruited a race of reptilian 'archons' to carry-out the invasions and assimilations of all these worlds that get converted into loosh-production. The Reptilians benefit by feeding on the loosh (negative psychic energies) themselves as they funnel the flow of this energy to their 'Left Eye God'.
The method of conquest is persuasion and corruption rather than brute force. It may seem far-fetched...until you realize how much we see this concept is portrayed in popular culture like a form of archon self-expression. I like the old "Twilight Zone" for example...in the episode, "Black Leather Jackets" we see three aliens disguised as humans infiltrate our world to destroy us. They work for a leader who appears to them on the TV screen as a single left eye.In "Childhood's End" we see a race of Reptilian aliens arrive on Earth to induce a gradual corruption process that ultimately destroys humans and the Earth. The Reptilians do not act alone but serve a cosmic intelligence called 'Overmind' which is depicted as a single left eye on first edition paperback covers of the novel. (In the recent mini-series of the novel the Overmind is shown as a single eye and also as the Left Eye 'god' of the Masons on the back of the dollar bill.)
The proponents of the 'Left Eye' have gradually increased the obviousness of their disclosure through popular culture. There are now so many of these posters for blockbuster Hollywood movies where they depict all the characters doing 'left eye' symbolisms.
For example, you can google image search for the posters of "Hannibal" or "Red Dragon" and see a left eye symbolism on the posters - since the main character is a killer.
The new film, "Joker" also has a left eye symbolism on it's poster - since the Joker is a Reptilian character with clown slits and a wide mouth slit.
Check out the poster for the film, "Jeepers Creepers" where a Reptilian killer is looking out from a murder victim's skin with a left eye symbolism.
In the world of sci-fi films, check out the poster for "Apollo 13" where there's a Tom Hanks with only a left eye on the poster. This is because the Apollo missions were a hoax perpetrated by the All Seeing Eye.
Well there's thousands of examples of this kind of movie poster and these were just a few. People were amazed when "The Force Awakens" and "The Dark Knight" came out with posters showing all the main characters covering their right eyes to create a left eye symbolism.
Perhaps the most interesting example in comics would be "Metamorphosis Odyssey" by Jim Starlin. This 1981 comic seems to perfectly describe the All Seeing Eye's corruption-process happening on a planet called Zygotea - the origin of the galactic corrupters. The 'One-Eyed God' is specifically mentioned as the negative force that created the elitism and demonic-possession of the over-class that turned the rest of the population into slaves who were finally exterminated after building spaceships that allowed the EYE recruits to travel to many other planets to lather, rinse and repeat the process.
Synopsis: Aknaton shows the others the history of the Zygoteans. Their world was once a veritable Utopia, but it fell into the hands of venal and incompetent rulers. First, they despoiled the planet. Unfortunately, few of the people seemed to notice. They were consumed by their distractions and amusements and complicit in the despoiling of their world:The people eventually realized what had happened. The gap between have and have not was large, but the cries for social justice went unanswered. Instead, it was determined some would escape their dying world. Thanks to the influence of the military and religion, the many were inspired to toil to launch a few into the stars. Zygotea died, but the Zygoteans lived on. They repeated the same process on every world they came to. The more monstrous they became, the more they came to resent those that reminded them of their origins.

@@mikerose51 Bruh, bruh...I research this conspiracy and it's possible to learn a lot because they are always communicating through popular culture. I've also had some weird personal experiences. Yes, we are in this kind of world where the left eye 'god' has control of things and uses all these Reptilian people as our bankers, politicians, media and entertainment stars. It's like a very big game. The challenge is to recognize it and avoid the assimilation process.

Boy, I clicked on this video because 2001 captured my imagination over 30 years ago and I have seen the movie hundreds, perhaps thousands of times, and I was so excited to see a university based analysis of the film. What I got was perhaps the most uninteresting, dry and hole filled discussion between some of the most boring individuals I have ever seen on a dais. ..and please, can we stop inviting Keir Dullea to these intellectual dialogues? The guy is just an ordinary Joe who got lucky to be cast in a seminal role and he exposes himself as such every time he opens his mouth here. "Retarded fellow"! Come on Keir, you are Hollywood! Hasn't a little political correctness seeped in? And for the attendees who had never seen the film and went to this seminar excited to hear a discussion and then watch the mastery unfold...thank you very much to the first presenter who showed the end of the movie!
