    Nice Job! Smart to use the camera. Most guys would have snaked that drain which would have been the incorrectly method to use. Job well done!

    Old school if the rainwater downspout is tied into the sanitary side... Combined sewers can he problematic I guess if they get overloaded in storms but that being said a good heavy rain storm does flush them out on occasion

    House gutters dumping into the sanitary sewer? Legal in NYC and LI?

    • @etjason1
      @etjason1 3 роки тому +3

      Not anymore in NYC the DEP use smoke trucks to check. They put out a notice to to make sure you have water in all traps. If the see smoke coming out of your gutters you have a problem. Everyone had to plug the outside gutter inlets and redirect the gutter into the grass. City ran a program offering rain bucket kits to help catch water for plants and cleaning cars. In parts of long Island that had septic tanks it would be dumb because you overload system.

      @@vids2002 it's very old and that was stormwater dumping in/sharing sanitary sewer. for sure that flex pipe at end of downspout was bent over into that pipe he as jetting through.
      yes it should be capped and yes the downspouts should have it's onw line, guaranteed it didn't! likely 1930's or so building/drains.
