I credit the book Matilda for establishing my passion for reading - by extension, it also inspired me to write - showing me the importance of a strong mind and giving my four year old self a sense of empowerment. And, wow, this song encapsulates all of the themes I associated with Matilda so perfectly ❤️.

Ever since I have read the story, I always have felt sorry for Shylock, considering that he's the least villainous character in the story. Antonio and the others have provoked him. I know. I read the book as a kid. I treated the novel as an entertaining read than anything I could glean life lessons from back then.
Plus songs just make the message of things stick more than reading or watching something sometimes
