Same here. The only hint I got was.... his hand was full of blood, implying it was him who killed the real "Cassandra", but he thought it was the fake one who did it. So it's like, was he hallucinating this fake Cassandra, and imagining it was her who killed the real one? But then he realized it was him who did it after he saw the blood on his hand? would that be why the fake Cassandra just disappeared as soon as he opened the door? That's all I caught.

Felt like I was catfished into watching this terrible episode with the "audience choice award". I bet this award is just some internal made up BS. should've realized that when the tagline was "our film festival", meaning not a real one.
