The Kayali pistachio one has the most exaggerated good reviews and when I tried it , I realized how cheap and synthetic is.thank you for making time and post very informative videos for us!
Thank you🙏🙏🙏 again I am not paid by these brands. I don't judge books on their cover so I went to Sephora to really try before saying it is horrible... There are cheap perfumes that smell horrible honestly so I only judge on quality...I tried all Kayali... It is just cheap and synthetic.. not worth any euros/dollars. It is not even smelling good and feminine... People should be ashamed to say what they are saying about these perfumes because they got paid behind.... the damage is real because they are so many GORGEOUS perfumes/brands that truly deserve the hype!
I’ll say it depends on the influencers you follow, just from reviews I couldn’t purchase the Kayali pistachio, but I’ll say perfumes smell different on everyone and it’s not subjective on how we feel about them.
Alice in Paris, you are HILARIOUS. I love your honesty and I don’t even have to try these perfumes to know that I would hate them. Why in the world do they have so many notes?! It all depends on how the scent reacts with your chemistry, but yes, unfortunately a lot of fragrances today are synthetic The Lady Million bottle looks like a Man's cheap cologne bottle like from a dollar store 😅
Hi Alice! Can you explain how it is you like the smell of aldehydes, but not other synthetic scents, such as those found in Libre Le Parfum? This concept is very interesting to me, because most Americans dislike aldehyde perfumes. These cultural differences are really fascinating. Also, why do you dislike Baccarat Rouge 45?
I don't know maybe it is cultural or the nose. Not everyone like aldehyde and I find american prefer sweetness. I need to try Baccarat again but I was deceived
It’s funny how you pronounce “I hate this perfume “ with a silent h so it sounded like I ate the perfume:) I know that in French h is silent. I agree with you - all the mentioned perfumes are bad
Refreshing! I like your blunt reactions. I had never understood why influencers promoted Libre and Good Girl. I hate all the iterations of the former and the latter makes me gag. What do you think of Hypnotic Poison EDP and Versace Crystal Noir. These killed me at the first sniff.
Interesting, all I can smell in Pistachio Gelato is the lily of the valley, which is a note I hate with a passion. As for the plasticky note, I have found that oftentimes it is the note of rum which gives of that kind of smell. There are exceptions like Gourmand Coquin, Ambre Narguilé or Tabac 28, for example, but most of the time, unless it's an extremely well crafted perfume the rum will smell very synthetic and plasticky. Also, I totally agree with Good Girl's bottle being incredibly tacky and even if the perfume inside was amazing, I wouldn't touch it with a ten feet pole (MAYBE if it was really amazing I would decant it or keep it in its box, but it's not, so I'll never buy it).

Just to add another thing, many reviewers don’t want to be kicked off the Kayali mailing list because it’s so trendy and popular that they are afraid to say anything bad about it. Personally I think the whole house is over rated and have never found one of them that I really liked. I don’t get it. 🤔
I used to be sent kayali perfumes, but for some reason I was not sent the new Pistachio - and I wasn't too heartbroken about it lol. I passed this one along quite quickly:/. Most of the good reviews I saw of this perfume were from reviewers who had had it sent in PR. Almost everyone else who purchased it was disappointed.
It is WAY too sweet, too plain, too fade.... the performance is also so low. There is also a plastic smell to me on the dry down. I don't understand the hype about this brand and I sincerely gave a try. I try every perfume.... no way I can wear something like that. Also it is not the Parisian style. People in Paris don't like sweet cloying perfumes.
Hi! In North America when it’s freezing cold and you wear 5 jackets, nothing works except a little loud perfume. Libre light works here for winter. I prefer fresh fragrances in summer. That being said, I’d love to hear some summer/winter perfume suggestions from you!
hello I think you know the answer... they don't disclose and they should disclose when they receive the product and when they are paid to review it. There is NO WAY you can sincerely said that Pistachio Kayali smells good. It is an insult to the perfume industry....
Next time Alice could you make some better suggestions in addition to the critique. For example, the pistachio, there has got to be a better pistachio out there. Maybe you could lead us in the right direction.
YSL Libre is a lavender remake of the earlier, discontinued YSL perfume Cinema (2004) an almond based sweet floral from the Tom Ford era of YSL. Both are fragrances the actual YSL would have never released as Y, Opium and Paris were among the best examples of their respective genres. Maybe it's because of public taste or banned ingredients, but I am not sure if it's possible these days to create a nut based fragrance that's also elegant. No matter what they all seem to metamorphose into some form of perfume diabetes. It's really hard to create an elegant gourmand, so chapeau to Jacques Guerlain achieving that over a century ago with L' Heure Bleue.
Great gourmand not cloying perfume from Guerlain is Champs Elysées. I just discover this one and I really really like it, especially the dry down… they are discontinuing Cinema… last TF area for YSL so it is over now
The last decade of great perfumes were the 80's and to some extent the 90's. After that comes an epic flop.I love Guerlain vintage, l Heure Bleue is a bewitching fragrance. Even watered down they are still masterpieces.
I have a love, hate relationship with fragrance. Most of them give me a migraine. Loved this review. Personally I’m a traditionalist. I keep buying Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, Guerlain Shalimar and Mitsouko and L’Heur Bleu.
I only buy 3 or at the most 4 fragrances. I repeatedly buy Passion and Eau de Charlotte from Annick Goutal. A recent one I like is 24 Faubourg by Hermes and Jean Patou Joy when I can find it. I absolutely hate the fruity/melon under smell of many new ones. I have no idea what that ingredient is, but I can’t stand it.
I think too many people follow the trends. It’s so ridiculous to spend so much money on a perfume that you haven’t even smelled. Any way thanks for your brutal honesty.

Now this is a genuine question not ment to offend you: Do you have some expetise in parfums other than being a shopper and user?
LoL i am wearing Le parfum right now, understand what you are saying but there is something about it that i really like 😊 ..
I totally agree with you that the YSL Libre is absolutely terrible. Unfortunately another disaster, next to the new Opium, from the house of Saint Laurent. I like the scents you have on your dresser: Bulle de rose, Arpège and Noa, if I recognize it correctly.
What are your favorite (french) perfumes?
Diorissimo, Chanel n22, Scherrer, Paris YSL, Rose splendid goutal
I think girls were buying the Carolina Herrera one just for the bottle
Have the modern Chanels
been chemicalized now?
How can you wear Chanel no 5?
Pistachio would be the last thing I would expect to see in a perfume.
"Why I ATE this perfumes soo much" xd your pronunciation is really something!
Need to work on « hate »😅
You seem to be offended. Do you wear any of the perfumes mentioned?
I have tried Libre, Good Girl and Dylan and didn't like them. In fact I gave my Dylan Blue away after a couple of uses as I couldn't bear to keep it in my collection.
I hate libre....I can't even smell it as you can see my reaction... there is something so so cheap in the sweet cloying woodsy direction. It is sugar with wood. Unbearable
To me, Libre EDP smells like a masculine perfume. I blind bought Dylan Blue and I had to sell it off, it smelled like cheap soap on my skin...@@Aliceinparisofficial
I like Chanel Gabrielle and many Hermes scents. My husband knows to buy me an Hermes scent… if he likes it, I like it. I despise strong fragrances and that includes cleaning products, lipsticks, makeup or hair products , moisturizers, face or body cleansers or laundry detergents.
Jour d'Hermès Absolu is a wonderful scent.
Hermès perfumes and bags are extremely valued here in Paris ! JC Elena has a great reputation among Parisienne
You are so hilarious! And so French! I love it!
Ah ah thank you 😝
I agree 😊
Alice I agree with you on all of these 😅
I disliked the pistachio perfume too!
Baccarat Rouge 540 🤢
Very disappointed about this one….
I hate Baccarat Rouge 540.
I'm new to your channel, but this video is hilarious
Je t'adore! Tu es la meilleure! The most sincere review I have ever seen!
Thank you Selina 🙏 Again I am not paid by these brands. Again these are my tastes!
@@Aliceinparisofficial I know. And the more I learn about perfumes the more I realize that I adore old school/vintage French, Italian and European perfumery.
I totally agree. These make me want to vomit. It makes me wonder if covid toasted peoples nose nerves!
You truely reviewed some of the most horrible pefumes out there today!! What is happening to people? What is happening to taste??
Taste and dignity just disappear 🫠
Oh you hate the same ones I do! :)
Bravo! 👏
Totally agree. I have tried these perfumes and they're vile.
Nothing like Chanel or Hermes perfumes. I also like some of the scents from the UK brand Boadicea the Victorious.
I agree
Haha; I like lady million but I completely agree it’s skanky 😂it’s my club, nighttime activity smell 😂
i hate all of these also ♡
Exactement!!
❤
💕💕💕💕
One day you'll start to appreciate Libre.
😂
All The Kayali perfumes are horrific.
👍👍
Please add Baccarat Rouge and its doup Burberry Her. Makes me gag!🤢🤢
Very good comment! Exactly, such a burning sugar overrated and overrated parfum .
@@autumnautumn5200 I take public transport to work at 7.15 am. I board the train with at least 5 girls wearing this every morning going into the office. I am surprised i haven't passed out yet!😂
Burberry was first, both of Kurdijan.
BR540 is a tacky, synthetic bomb, I never liked this scent profile, and ofcourse none of the dupes for BR540 have been on my wish list
Will stick with my Opium. 45 years wearing and still love it.
Masterpiece!I call it the fragrance of forbidden things😅.
Bold,extravagant,exotic,class.
The good girl bottle is so ugly 😝
💯 TRUE. 😅
No es necesario ser grosero y poner vomito, debería respetar a la personas que los usan, algunos podrían pensar lo mismo de los que usted usa.
Haha, this was great! Your revulsion at this assortment of junk was practically operatic. French scorn at its best.
Just to add another thing, many reviewers don’t want to be kicked off the Kayali mailing list because it’s so trendy and popular that they are afraid to say anything bad about it. Personally I think the whole house is over rated and have never found one of them that I really liked. I don’t get it. 🤔
I don’t want to know what’s the Kayali mailing list 😂 and I do prefer the Chanel one 😅How sincere they are on UA-cam…..
Victoria M. great comment!
@Autumn Autumn thank you so much! 🙂
I stopped following the ytubers who liked all those scents. I'm wondering if they are getting paid!
I had high hopes for the pistachio scent!
hello I think you know the answer... they don't disclose and they should disclose when they receive the product and when they are paid to review it.
Yes I will
YSL Libre is a lavender remake of the earlier, discontinued YSL perfume Cinema (2004) an almond based sweet floral from the Tom Ford era of YSL. It's really hard to create an elegant gourmand, so chapeau to Jacques Guerlain achieving that over a century ago with L' Heure Bleue.
they never talk about vintage or antique perfumes, despite it being their job in some cases. Tragic loss for parfumery.
So happy, someone shares my opinion! Keep up the good work and your honesty, we enjoy your videos very much! Greetings from Germany.
Thank you 😊
I love the way you say tacky and disgusting. LOL
I cannot stand Libre. I thought I was the only one 😂
And these perfumes have very poor performance - especially for the price!
I LOVE your raw reactions Alice! 🤣 thank you for making this great video!
I have a love, hate relationship with fragrance. Most of them give me a migraine. Loved this review. Personally I’m a traditionalist. I keep buying Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, Guerlain Shalimar and Mitsouko and L’Heur Bleu.
Prada infusion d'Iris is minimalistic, versatile and lovely, it's my "new" Coco Mademoiselle ☺
From first impressions spray to dry down, I appreciate your brutal honesty and saying your reasons why you hate it 💖
thank you 🙏
Detergent and plastic 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I only buy 3 or at the most 4 fragrances. I repeatedly buy Passion and Eau de Charlotte from Annick Goutal. A recent one I like is 24 Faubourg by Hermes and Jean Patou Joy when I can find it. I absolutely hate the fruity/melon under smell of many new ones. I have no idea what that ingredient is, but I can’t stand it.
I think too many people follow the trends. It’s so ridiculous to spend so much money on a perfume that you haven’t even smelled. Any way thanks for your brutal honesty.
I ❤ your reactions 😂. Your taste is so elegant and you are the only revier I trust buying perfume. Not that others are not hones (I can not say that) but your taste maches to my own ;).
Once again it was stuning to see you testing those little disasters 😅.
Thank you 😊
Libre, One Million and Good Girl are so repulsive to me I can't stand to be near anybody who's wearing them.
I agree. Give me a good high quality white or yellow floral fragrance any day of the week over these. I love Joy by Jean Patou, Songes by Annick Goutal, Fracas by Robert Piguet, Amarige by Givenchy and many others like this.
Versace Dylan Blue is straight up BUG AND MOSQUITO SPRAY! Not a perfume, my daughter wouldn't wear it either, and I had to FIGHT with the lady at the charity shop to leave my brand new Dylan Blue bottle minus 2 sprays there.. 🤣🤣🤣
The perfume I cannot stand, which is wildly popular, is Tom Ford’s Black Orchid. It’s very “earthy” or dirty smelling.
Ugh, I agree about Libre. I bought it and cannot bear it now. I have been a Guerlain girl for most of my life. I adore Jicky and Mitsouko, in particular but I have Shalimar and Samsara, and I like their Oud. Thank you for doing this. I imagine somewhere you have a video on your favorites.
Hello will do a video about my top 5 for life! thank you
@@Aliceinparisofficial Oh, wonderful! I am just watching your video on Guerlain right now. I will look forward to your 5 favorites. Merci!!
YSL Libre assaulted my nostrils when I sprayed it for the first time. It was an automatic return for me.
I agree with you I don’t like any of the Libre perfumes.I also find all the Good Girl perfumes so boring.. nothing special.
The french indignance 😆 love seeing this side of you come out, I love the honesty. Great review :)
To me the most overrated and bad smelling is Chanel No 5.
Libre, Good Girl, l'Extase by Nina Ricci, La Vie est Belle, Idole by Lancome make me gag🤢... sadly we're living in an era of perfumery where everything in fashion is suffocating and sticky sweet🤢🤢🤢🤮
I'm not french I'm russian and I'm sticking to my less popular favorites - Beautiful Day(before reformulation) -Castelbajac, Krasnaya Moskva light, Aura - Mugler edp and Cavalli Nero assoluto.
Je suis tout a fait d'accord! Some bad creations! The worst perfume I ever smelled was beyond paradise by Estee Lauder. I almost pass away😂...
I would love to see a video of strong still fresh summer perfumes that last in the heat!
Its not the perfumes its your perception. Someone like to smell like sticky sugar, someone likes to smell like granny (chanel 5)
I am not a big fan of Chanel but Chanel is a classic especially 5.
Thanks got your brutally honest Video
You truly are a French girl ❤. Love your authenticity and candour. I’m not a fan of any of these scents either, even though I know many love and enjoy them a lot.
Thank you 🙏😉
