Don't know what surprised me more, the fact that you uploaded this on a Friday, or it's been nearly 10 years since you uploaded your last video from Penrith! Definitely an enjoyable video always love watching those 140L squat bins getting thrown around, especially by these raptors. Definitely fell like an entirely different truck compared to when they were brand new, like Yianni said.
    Enjoyable video lad!

lmao Anything is possible with me mate, I stick to routine for a while, but all of a sudden I might do something spontaneous :D Nahhh some videos require a little more viewing time or my regular uploading schedule can get interrupted, so has to be a bit of flexibility haha Time bloody flies right, I'll tell ya that, hard to believe it's been so long since I first went through Emu Plains :O Funny how different trucks look compared to the start and end of their lives - been a few contracts where I've seen the early and late days, what a contrast.

Nice one Mitch! Great to see some decent footage of these Penrith raptors! Last time I saw footage of these was when Jordan still had his channel up! Also Penrith wasn't the first council in the country to introduce the 3 bin system with weekly FOGO/fortnightly garbage. Nillumbik has been doing it since 2003. Not sure about sydney/NSW but haha

Cheers mate, yeh bloody glad to throw some additional video up of these beasts, they're kind of something in their own, hopefully I'll manage to capture a bit more before they're permanently retired. Jordy still regrets shutting everything down, basically lost all the footage he took in the past too, computer crashed and cya later files :( Yep Penrith definitely ain't first in the country haha They hold the golden medal for Sydney, but I think Lismore holds the gold for Australia nationally, 1999 they introduced organics from memory, somewhere in the very late 90s. Funny the system has been around so long, yet it's only taken off a bit more in recent years... even now it's still quite scarce.

Love the look and operation of what now would be called ancient trucks, love the garbo pruning marks on the trucks-need a chainsaw.

My eyes lit up and said "As if he just fucking uploaded this!" I was stunned this got uploaded this week after reading your comment last week on how you don't have many left to upload. Awesome video but I can tell the Garbage Raptor has seen far better days but I could tell Auto Revs were off on her. Love that jerky fast arm on it! I can understand that you are introducing a new Green Waste bin service but what I don't understand is you get a grey/charcoal body for the Green Waste bins and then get Dark Green bodies for Garbage, don't you think that is rather stupid? Why not get the same colour? Something I cannot get my head around and it is what some councils do.... Lovely how you got two 07's but with different signage, the real DEAL! Would of kinda sucked if you got a Euro4 Raptor and an 07 Acco in the same area. The video wouldn't be the same. But to me these trucks are kinda unrecognisable compared to your video from 2008. I would say the Green Waste one would be in slighty better condition than the Garbage one of course? Deffs a like/fav

jatho4 I'm fairly certain when they went trough and did a full rollout of new Organics bins in 2016 (I think) they all had that grey/charcoal coloured bodies. I've got a picture saved somewhere of the new bins...

Even I couldn't believe I'd put it up! :O Hopefully I'm able to stun you again in future with some more action of the Penrith legends, definitely worth the additional videos ey! Yeh the garbage one definitely shows up as a bit of a wreck, organics by far the healthier looker. You know the red bin 07 is actually revving during the lifts... it also fooled me thinking it was just running at idle, but if you listen closely it is throttling (seemingly barely at all), just not with the typical sound the green lid 07 lets off. Didn't actually really notice the different bin body colours when I was out there, maybe the dark green ones you spotted are replacement bins that have gone out since the 2012 new deliveries? If you jump to 10:15 they both look like that grey don't you think, but then again maybe I'm colour blind or not looking close enough haha I'm totally stoked I managed to catch two of the same together, it was a matter of luck on what would be around. Still want to get an e4 in future, but priority was the 07s hands down back in 2016 :P Definitely see their age and batter over the years in this video, a lot of time and bins have passed since that first visit! Dunno how the greens one is mechanically, but it sure sounds healthy, damn right proper sound.
