hi! i mean this in the most respectful way, but i’m gonna say this straightforward. you can barely post a trot and you certainly aren’t ready to canter, let alone jump. you look unbalanced and you’re relying way too much on the reins for balance which will make your the horses mouth sore and painful which could lead to him not eating. i would recommend switching barns or trainers because your trainer is not setting you up for success. or possibly ask if you could work on a lunge line without reins to work on being able to balance without pulling his mouth so hard. also work on heels down, keeping your legs and hands still, and keep your hands below your belly button :) once you’ve mastered that stuff at trot then you’ll be ready to canter he didn’t want to jump because you were pulling way too hard and obviously weren’t ready to. NONE of this is your fault - this is all your trainer’s fault, he is setting you up all wrong. i really don’t want to be rude so i’m sorry if this seems a bit rude - i am just trying to help you and your horse ❤ also your helmet at 2:35 is WAY too far up on your head. you want your helmet just above your eyebrows - if you fall and hit your head with a helmet that loose, it’s likely it’ll just pop off your head and you’ll get a head injury.
he probably didnt wanna jump cus ur all up in his face and can barely trot, ur not ready to jump. stick to trotting first, getting a good foundation is gonna make all the difference when you start cantering!
Hi! Take this in a nice way but your trot is pretty decent and can pop over some cross rails in trot but not in canter. I haven’t been riding long myself but I can sit the canter perfectly fine which is helping me sit the jumps 10x better! I would recommend asking ur trainer if u could work on ur canter seat! Ty 🩷
she is no where near ready to jump im sorry but this is not a good riding place for you they are pushing you to far dont take this the wrong way but what ur doing can really hurt the horses
You are catching his mouth and being left behind. Dont jump until you can canter without reins or stirrups or you will both get hurt. Shame on the adults allowing this.
You need to shorten the reins more when riding your letting the reins stay long and if anything happened it can be harmful and you won’t be able to control your horse
No, she needs her reins longer. she needs to learn to ride without relying on reins for balance. EVERY rider should be able to balance without reins. if anything happened, reins are NOT the way to go. let’s say the horse bolts or starts bucking - you should be able to slow the horse down with your seat and other cues, reins are backup. if the horse starts bucking and you have long reins and come off immediately, you clearly need better basics. NO rider should rely on reins for stuff - again, reins are backup. seat, legs, etc. is the way to go. if you rely on your reins in case anything happens, i’m sorry but you need to go back to basics. go on the lunge line without reins and learn to balance and use your seat to give cues. i’ll say this for a third time: REINS ARE NOT THE WAY TO CONTROL YOUR HORSE. REINS ARE BACKUP. if your horse doesn’t respond to seat for speeding and slowing down or legs for steering, that horse needs more groundwork.
honey, ur trot is terrible. I’m sorry but u need to work on that. Ur rising is not very well and not on the right post. ur canter is way to bouncy! ur relying on the reins way to much for balance, switch trainers. You’ll actually learn to ride properly and not whoever is forcing u to trot which ur not ready for!
He probably didn’t want to jump bc you were bouncing on his mouth the whole time. You should just work on the trot, it’ll help make sure you’re not hurting the horses
I promise if you come ride with me I can get your seat your hands and your position much better and we will take it slow I promise you I can make your position feel so much better and you wount have to rely on your hands to hold your body up

I promise if you come ride with me I can get your seat your hands and your position much better and we will take it slow I promise you I can make your position feel so much better and you wount have to rely on your hands to hold your body up
Youcamter could really use some work and I can get your ridding feeling a lot better
Not ready to jump, or even canter for that matter. Somebody needs to take away her reins so she can do balance exercises on the lunge line
You also need a real riding helmet those are not really ridding helmets you need to go some were like Dover saddlery or atlant saddlery
