I immediately replaced the 3 laser turrets with particle beam turrets. Got rid of the horn and mounted the ballistic cannons on the existing mounts on the sides of ship. Made the ship way more useful in a fight with multiple ships.
That 36 power is hard to resist at the early levels when you cannot match it yourself due to level locking of parts on normal ships. Personally I went with the Silent Runner over the Narwhal and that ship is similarly a beast with a few upgrades and modifications. I love the feeling on flying onto the scene in a bulky hauler and pummeling ships into scrap with 3-5 shots of my particle beam weapons. With the Narwhal's weapon mount you could just stack 6 Vanguard Obliterators on the front and cover the rest of your fields of view with turrets.
I absolutely love this ship. Also I love the crew size of 7, for role playing purposes, I sometimes walk around the inside to experience the feeling of a large crew. I wish we could have crews up to 10 or so. 👍
When it comes to getting Starship Design 4 it is easiest to just go to the 5 core staryards(or New Homestead on Titan in the case of Nova Galactic) and slap on one of the larger habs then decorate it with every random structural piece available and save the ship, then rinse and repeat at the other staryards until you meet the challenge quota. Do that once your level is high enough for items to appear in the lists with the requirement; by level 60 or so everything should be unlocked.
If you’re going to turn the Narwal into a gun fortress, may I suggest the 6 vanguard PA’s (2 on the weapons mount forward (inboard) and 2 each on the port & starboard weapons mounts by the bridge (cockpit)) your 4 turrets amidships (2 each port & starboard) and your last group of turrets mounted as follows, 1 (aft), 1 (amidships (oriented as you wish) and 2 (forward (outboard) on the weapons mount (with the 2 Vanguard PA’s). All other mods as you deem necessary. Just a silly thought, but what do I know?
I wonder if those chairs are where you are SUPPOSED to put entryways? 😁 BTW when you swap things out you might also want on hand a preferred cockpit...😉
Personally, i think the workers rights poster fits. The Just Stop Oil people all seem to have iPhones and Taiyo seems to be the Apple of Starfield. Their customers always wait for next year's model 😂😂😂
This ship is a glaring reminder that ramming in this game doesn't work. Aside from that, it's a good ship. And it must be a good ship because right now in my game Taiyo has at least seven of them on offer because their store inventory is failing to delete old entries when I visit and instead just keeps adding six or seven ships to the end of the queue each time.
I actually had a glitch like that not at a ship vendor, but in the UC Surplus store at New Atlantis. Every open chest in that shop has about 9 copies of every type of ammo and weapon contained in them.
I just didn't like the look, great ship, but I don't like that tayo look. So I ripped her nose off stuck the cabot bridge on her, put the six Walter engines on her. The only think I kept was the bottom piece. She's beautiful now, at least to me, and she'll carry over 6k cargo at 100 mobility. I also made the interior simple, she's wider and not as long. So pretty much she's not the narwhal anymore, but I like to think better. Probably my favorite ship now 🙂
You should change the title of the video to "Save the Whales" XD The blue they probably chose for the sea water where the whale lives in, at least that seems the most likely. Otherwise they confused its color with a humpback or such. More like 320 more shield, you went from 995 to 1315. Math isn´t exactly your strong suit, i noticed, with yesterday´s video too. But hey, nobody can do everything well. Overall the ship looks good, very smooth, fitting the whole "marine life form" theme, but i cannot help but think they messed up a couple of things, like having two different engine types.
Yeah, Taiyo has a lot of wasted space in their habs. Their All-in-One Berth in particular is super bare bones. I hope Bethesda does a pass over the interior habs when they do their DLC. It would be nice if they got rid of all the pointless chairs in certain cockpits and bridges. E.g. Taiyo and the Kontiki bridges from Stroud.
I loved the "Oh, feck, it's Cora - let's try to sneak behind the workstations to get past her" moment.
"I'm working hard, Captain!"
"Your ship's alot bigger than my dads"
STARBORN: SHUT UP LITTLE GIRL
Coffee Time!!!! And another awesome ship review. When I played early game before I knew how to build, this was like the “dream ship”.

The Narwhal was the first class c ship I bought, it's maybe the best bought ship if your not into ship building. A few upgrades and she is a beast.

Also if you have the money as well since each piece only counts once.
That's pretty much what I did. I just went around buying the cheapest structural pieces to attach wherever they could fit
Feel like this ship would be right at home in the Cowboy Bebop universe. I kinda love it.

Your reviews are well done, friend. I don’t recall looking for the subscribe button for some time now, but found it in your case.
I appreciate the kind words and the sub.
Personally, not my favorite but they sell this one early game while other vendor sell class B at best so this can make you overpowered quickly
Are you going to revise your earlier ship reviews to include teardowns and/or potential upgrades?
I am indeed

The reactor by itself adds 1950 hull.

I can not seem to be able to rotate the turret tried all the normal on the controller Can you help thanks
Y on controller should rotate it
@@CrimsonFlyboy yes not working must have a bug
Why don't the lasers fire?
They are turrets, meaning they will only fire in combat and are autonamous
Warning: You need a certain level in piloting skills perk.
My bad, I should have said, "Yeah, you need piloting perk to fly c class ships
@@CrimsonFlyboy if I recall you need to max piloting skill.
just great trying to avoid cora 😂😂😂😂😂
She's always asking me for money to buy books, im going to end up broke
yea i know same with me 😂😂😂
Nice ship but too mazy for me. Not a fan of Taiyo interiors either.
They need to revamp the taiyo stuff to make it match the design philosophy

You’re like me. I tried my best to avoid Cora as well.
The first ship I ever bought.
