For those of us far away--I've found Green Dreams online shopping experience reasonably priced and good quality. Varieties vary but they may carry some of these. I've had them shipped to NorCali a few times with good results, may want to avoid 100F plus weather in the delivery truck.
@@gadielgomez2709 wondering if you might know….i had a Desbry avocado. It was store bought but wonderful tasting. Are these actually Semil 34 avocados with Desbry WP name on them or is it a different variety? Would love to plant one!!!
I'm in north Broward, east of I-95. My experience with Simmonds is...for full flavor I don't pick any earlier than mid-August. Last year I bought a box of Simmonds from Homestead in July, and they were flavorless (no oil). Also, I've picked Lula from late October until January--the fruit really stays on the tree a long time. I like the dry texture of Lula, and the flavor is pretty decent.
Checkout UC riverside’s avocado, citrus, palm date, and asparagus collections; second to none and a hell of a graduate program. They coming with gem avocado, they made tango mandarins (halo varieties). They also created the most widely grown asparagus variety (UCR 1?). Academic breeding programs would be a great visit for you guys.
There is something called TMI - Too Much Information - Guys, you are having fun checking out one of the best fruits. Some days, that was my lunch. I would deliver to a store, use the restroom, get a couple Avocados & have lunch there. (With Google Shopping Express, I never know if I would drive one shift or two, but I would do what was asked of me. Same with the Post office. Sometimes I would get to work & they would send me home, other days 12 hours. At least, in the main P&DC they had a cafeteria for extended shifts. The Postal job I really liked, lots of walking, Now, This Comment is a good example of TMI ;-) Thank you all for your videos 🙂
I wanna say 'I hate you guys, I hate you I hate you I hate you',but I can't 😂 You have all those avocados there and I'm not there enjoying them also 😲🥺🥹😢😭 I LOVE AVOCADOS, YOU HEAR ME? I LOVE AVOCADOS ❤
When one of you state a specific fruit it can be misunderstood or if the accent is pronounced or the name of the fruit does not come out clearly a newy(novice) cannot know the name, so take the strong suggestion of having the name on the screen for a few seconds so that we may write it.
You guys were discussing freezing avocado. I have tried and there is no good way. I froze one hard off the tree and during the thawing it turned black and the skin turned crispy hard. When I froze the ripe avocado, I thawed it, and when I squeezed it it resembled diarrhea so that’s a no! I have another hard one off the tree and am freezing it now. I am going to keep in the refrigerator till it thaws completely (2days) then put it on the counter to ripen.
I have a question about the Apmay avocado... Are the fruits that start to ripen in April/May only 3 months from flowering, or are the Apmay avocados ready a year and 3 months from flowering? For example, my avo trees flower around February. Will I have Apmay avo's ready in 3 months from February, or do I have to wait a whole year and 3 months before I can harvest fruit?
@@FruitfulTrees Paul... Thanks for the reply, that doesn't answer the question my friend. I understand the fruit are ready to harvest in April or May, or even later. But are the fruit ready for harvest the same year they are born from flowers? Or is the fruit ready the following year in April and May or even later?
From September till November is hard to beat maria black avocado. Delicious and a true dwarf tree
Brooks late for me in miami is from January till the second week of March. Very productive and kind of a dwarf tree and quality is good.
Thanks for sharing this information!
My favorite FruitTree guys in the whole world! Excellent post!

I really enjoyed the apmay. Probably the best avocado i tasted this year in terms of overall flavor and texture
For us in Puerto Rico and República Dominicana, the Semil 34 is #1 in production. It's season is very long too.

True Mexican varieties are my favorite. Oily and nutty.

Fun!
Love your attitude about this bag and not caring about what people will say. kislux You are right keep your head up and no your priorities.
What is the cold tolerance for the ATMAY avocado?
Good question, not sure, will have to ask Julian
So Im guessing that the Apmay tree variety is unavailable? Too early? Can't find much info regarding.
How cold hardy is Upmay? Is it complex hybrid?
Not sure too early to tell
Where can i buy a Scion or Tree of this Apmay avocado? Would love to get one for my back yard 😢 I live in Hollywood FL let me know please… 🙏🏼

Who is eating raw ackee?????😮
I eat Ackee raw
Not sure which ackee you mean but no Jamaican i know would dare eat raw ackee. Brave
@@whatuknow4sure332 as long as its opens by itself on the tree it's not harmful
Why would you eat raw ackee? If you got an iron stomach go for it but it is not advised. Open or closed eating ackee raw is extremely harmful.💯
