@David Stairs Because i watch the show? Lol Bellamy has been through much lower points in his life. This was not his lowest point. Not even close. You act as if he found out Octavia, Echo, and Clarke were all dead lol he was cold on a mountain....
@@Kamina1 Bellamy went from believing in what he could prove in the beginning. Through the journey & the vision of his mother, believing and praying to Bill Cadogen as his shepherd. During the journey to the top of the mountain where the space stone was he was at a very low point to kowtow to Bill. That's how brain washing works.
Speakjng of the flame... From Becca/Callie we know that the flame will save and protect itself by crawling out of fire as well as swimming out of water when the host is dead or something like that. So could there be a possibility that the flame saved itself from being destroyed by backing up its content onto Madi and that's the reason she's having and drawing the memories of the commanders. Could Madi literally be the flame/key without even knowing it?
@@FaireyQueen It is the only theory I could think of at this point. It could be Sheidheda but I dont think its him. Becca said she created the flame to amplify what's already there. She believed that in the right mind it can do a lot of good so I think that if the flame wanted to protect itself from being destroyed Madi would be the one that it chooses and not Sheidheda. I just hope the two storylines connect soon
I think they would have realized it was not destroyed after pulling it out of Madi. Besides with its destruction Sheiheda escaped into the system leading to him being in Russel now. If you think about it, the memories might have survived and all others did the same escaping the flame before destruction. Technically anything can be destroyed, it is a matter of it can't be easily destroyed that's all.
By default, by this theory, couldn't that possibly mean that Russel/Sheidheda is the flame now? Because technically, he's the only one showing outward signs of any of the Commander(s) still existing.
when he thanked pike for his survival skills, it brought back memories of him siding with the villian and going against his friends. Bellamy cannot be trusted he is so weak minded.
He not mind weak .the reason is cause of what he went though the mountain almost frozen to death ate bugs went some night without eating for a long time trauma is one way of brainwash someone
Bellamy grew from that experience with Pike, he was still a young YOUNG adult who had gone through the trauma of mr weather and he had demons that he TRULY grew from while they were in the sky for 6 years. I don’t think his mind is that fragile. He was pretty strong to uncover Clarke being alive still and getting her to Gabriel. He was strong in character when he didn’t murder any of the primes and accepted that there was another way. Even Octavia forgave Pike after coming out of the anomaly, and she changed from the inside, and stopped being all Red-Queeny 😬. Just my opinion though. I need to rewatch this season again. ❤️
@@m.c.martin No when Octavia comes out of the anomaly at first, last season, Gabriel gives her some hallucinogen, and she enters her mind to battle her demons/guilt/regrets/trauma, and Pike appears to her, and she also sees her former self as red queen, and then she saves Pike's life (in her hallucination) from her own Red self. To me, that was her letting go of the resentment she carried ever since Lincoln (I still cry thinking about Lincoln) So that is what I meant by she forgave Pike...
What you were missing was when Bellamy came the shepherd welcome him with open arms. As if he already knew that Bellamy was changed. I believe the island was real but it was set up to get people to believe in the shepherd. The light in the cave is somehow related to a power source that is responsible for the weather, hologram and simulation. Even the portal back was a test. It's about having faith in the shepherd that allows you to jump which is the final test
The main reason why I think it was a Simulation was that he didn't lose his memory. If he didn't lose it going to Etherea, then he would definitely lose it on the way back.
Remember you only lose your memory when jumping to a slower time dilated planet if Echo Octavia and the diyozas were there on Bardo for about the same time as Bellamy was here meaning the times are the same
@@kaystevenson2075 Yeah but if he didn't lose his memory jumping to Etherea then it's a faster planet. But if he then went from Etherea to Bardo, it is travelling to a slower planet.
I think it's all part of the plan. We need to keep watching to figure out the puzzle pieces for this last season. Jason did say all will be revealed by the series finale.
I do think he is actually brainwashed to the Shepherd’s bidding but the Bellamy we know and love is still buried down deep inside there no one is ever too far gone. Why I think he is brainwashed is because they won’t repeat what they did with Echo and the rest of them too repetitive. It seems this betrayal will leave huge affects on all of our characters more specifically Octavia, Echo, and Clarke
I think it was planned because Anders would have had to consciously know he was typing the code to Etherea and not Sanctum-even though he was supposedly supposed to enter the sanctum code
Yeah, too many inconsistencies to make this have been done purposely. I think what we're going to see though is them going back to Sanctum to get the broken mind drive to try to fix it to use here, but in doing so Sheiheda will end up killing them and then as a last-ditch we're probably going to see Clarke enter the code in a symbolic move of her pulling the lever. Though now all we're missing Gaia like where is she? Is she where Becca was?
Etherea does seem like it's designed to give people a religious experience. He passes out and he wakes up in a big cave with a picture that's from more than three centuries ago and he finds glowing statues and after one prayer the snow melts and it's sunny
Kate I think she died, they destroyed the portal with a code (we saw a stone being offline already) I don’t think she would be there because it would be a few seconds and I tought we saw the stone fall down on the ground wich didn’t happen with Becca
Some additional information that adds to your theory. The conductor's name was Doucette. This is French for: Who is of a very sweet character, or who simulates the sweet. And, let's not forget, a conductor, by definition, controls the performance. So, yeah, I think you are right. If not, the writers are going down a weird religious hole - and I'm not onboard with that.
@@WhattheGeek But what really comes to mind, is the scene of Levitt saying that Bellamy is alive! that was for us to know that there's no simulation at all. And it was etherea all along, Also, the tech bardo has fits more the bardoans that the disceples. WHICH COULD MEAN THAT BILL HAS THE BARDOANS AS PRISONERS SOMEWHERE IN SECRET.. i mean we all know his past and what he's capable of! and something interesting 'How the hell did Bill and his followers translate the language of the bardoans without having one of them.. My head is too spinning from theories lol.
The next few episodes are either gonna make us all go wow and be the best from the entire show. Or the other extreme and they just piss us off. No inbetweens.
Or it will split us in two groups, lovers and haters. Remember LOST, there were three groups actually, the lovers of the final and the finale season (ME), the haters, the haters who misunderstood the entire show (The majority), not going to spoil the misunderstanding here though unless you have watched it.
@@WhattheGeek OMG I'm also an ABSOLUTE LOVER of LOST and the final season, and the finale.Have you watched 12 monkeys the series? It's a complete 4 season series that was loosely based on the film, but absolutely, unbelievably AMAZING. Lost was my number one favorite series of all time, but since 12 monkeys, they are both super high as top faves, but 12 monkeys has a more generally LOVED ending by anyone who's watched it. I highly recommend that one to you!
I think Belamy is genuinely brain washed, though when he sees Clarke in the m-cap machine, he sees her radio calls to him when they were on the ring. She probably confesses her love to him which brings the whole Belarke theory to a loop. Either that or Belamy realises everything they have been through and snaps out of it and just plays them all. In the preview you can see Belamy in the room while Clarke is in the machine, he didn't have to be there but he is. I feel like this is what snaps him out of it
I sure hope he does not realize "He Loves Clarke" For me that is the worst thing that could happen, like would make it into typical CW young adult fan service garbage to be honest. I should not be the one preaching this considering women are usually the ones preaching it and yet going around and forcing a ship on every series, but men and women are capable of being strong friends without ending up in bed.

Tbh i PRAY Bellamy is playing the long con, and this is all an act. The character finding religion is a ridiculous plot line, and makes absolutely zero sense. The preview for next week gives me this terrible feeling that the writing staff is going butcher Bellamy's character again like they did in season 3 *sigh* not again SN: His name is "Doucette" not Conductor btw. Bellamy called him that all throughout the episode.
Yes Conductor is the title, I just did not catch the name and was watching without subtitles and forgot to check for subtitles after I was done and as I started recording.
Why the hell did Clarke have to whisper in his ear when the Shepard was right there "They think I have the flame" wtf! Couldn't you wait till you where alone.. Really thats the first thought in her head!
I am not the biggest defender of stupid actions, but, the shepherd wants to talk to this guy, she could not have imagined he was brainwashed, she gives Bellamy a warning so he would not slip and tell the truth about the flame not even existing anymore, or at least not being in Clarke.

Clarke and Bellamy are obviously not the leaders we knew from past seasons. Octavia emerges as the smart leader of her people here. Even Hope, Echo, and Diyoza are smarter than these two dummies. Octavia and Echo will save them all.
Clarke was kind of stupid for telling Bellamy so casually and in the presence of the disciples. He had obviously been through extreme physical and mental duress, and with knowledge of the disciples manipulation tactics, it should have been obvious to not reveal any information until they are private and secure. Otherwise, I hope that after the finale everyone can peacefully coexist, including the disciples or even the bardoans, assuming they still exist in some form. I also would like to know what happened to eligius 3, although it is not pertinent to the story.
I get what your saying but Clarke didn’t want to run the risk of them extracting information from Bellamy like they did to Octavia and that means they would find out Clarke isn’t the key
What the Geek Good point. Still a tad too impulsive for my taste. I would have asked for the room alone, and then do an analysis on Bellamy, if he seems brainwashed, then you can plan your next move. Where they can prepare for the inevitable, and turn their disadvantage, into their advantage.
I'm so looking forward to the next 5 eps. I feel like they are going to be the greatest eps of the seaosn and the show. This show has all the makings to have one of the best series finales I have ever seen in TV.
Well I am certain it will be good, but nothing as far as I know will beat the finale of AoS that we just watched this week, well if you are an AoS viewer you would know what I'm talking about.
Im feel sad for my fave Bellamy and being brainwashed. He deserves so much better! Hopefully his loved ones can pull him out of it. Kinda like he how pulled Clarke out of the mind space. Im curious as to maybe now that its confirmed that Clarke doesnt have the key (I think Bill already knew) that this will tie up the two storylines soon. Maybe Sheidheda and Madi are what he Keys
Yea but he came back with snow on him and all , so I’m not 100% convinced. In the simulations they didn’t come back with clothes and things from the simulation
christen dsouza, But the freezing temperatures would have made the pain in his leg more unbearable though. Plus they were climbing up a mountain using unstable footholds for hours where the Conductor would have been forced to put his full weight onto his broken leg which usually takes between three to six months to fully heal and even then, you need physical therapy afterward to get the muscles to full strength. And why did Bellamy have a walking stick but not the Conductor? Shouldn’t the injured party use it? I found that to be very odd. But cool thing about Mike Tyson! I didn’t know that. He must be one strong determined dude or he was just high as a kite on pain meds 😂
@@christendsouza5845 Not only weird, but absolutely unrealistic. Even a minor fracture in the leg bone takes up to 2 months to heal under ideal conditions. In the extreme cold and lack of proper bandages, nourishment, etc., he would not have been able to walk, let alone climb the way he did.
Of course you have a good point here, but they could have manipulated the experience at the point of their return, and made their appearance match it in all ways.
I mean they knew someone blasted in portal. what they jus ignored the fact or didnt check up plus someone was watchin them as they claimed the mountain
Ok to add to this, in the beginning of the episode we see that the conductor (Doucette) is badly hurt - his leg is broken with the bone just sticking out of his skin, now a small fracture would take 1-2 months to heal but a open compound fracture like what Doucette had would take several months to heal but we see him putting his full weight on it in what that can be no more than a week later. Even Bellamy is surprised, he asks how it was possible but there was no elaboration.
Yeah realized that but works both ways. I mean you could still make same argument: 1. Afraid but my belief gets me to do it anyway. 2. Not Afraid because I believe.
Bellamy tends to act lik he's not afraid the whole episode he had his own strong will that slowly changed. by that point he let go of his emotional strength and faced the fact that he is truly afraid of whats next and fear is what drives the faith. They say fear and faith go hand and hand. Him sayin he's afraid was the final test. Havin fear of the unknown with a guidance of faith that says you will be ok is what made him jump
Can't help but feel his lack of reaction to the news was because he was just pretending that he wanted Clarke for the key... that way it made her think she had something to barter with, and not rush straight to violence like she has in the past. Clarke has always acted like she wants peace (much like her mother), yet she will hurt those she loves just to do what she believes is right. They both have a pretty long list of things they have done to "save those they love". They have even taught Madi to be like that, its only now that Masi is away from them both and has John, Emori, and Jackson looking after her that you can start to see her healthily working through things and putting in the work.

Also, although Murphy annoyed me with his decisions in season, which almost faulted his development for me, he is still one of my favourite characters and I hope he does not die in sanctum. He needs to reunite with everyone before he bites the dust.
I actually read next week's synopsis and by the sound of thing's everyone is back at sanctum, it says there's a new problem they have to deal with or something along these lines.
I think Levitt as I mentioned before has a double agenda, or at least he has some doubts about the cause and he is about to get to the point of discovering the truth about Bill Cadogan and realizing it is all BS, the man is made out of BS.
My theroy is that this scene was important because when Levitt realized he is alive, they came after Bellamy on that planet an saved him. Bellamy ended up on the Etheria for real, but they took him most likely when he passed out from the storm and then put him into the simulation instead. so when he woked up, he was already in simulation. that would explain wierd things that happened right after he woke up in the cave.
so since they've thrown a massive twist here's mine with this weeks episode, I absolutely agree this was a simulation, I agree the twist of Bellamy at the end was out of no where, sort of. I agree there is some sort of trickery going on. but here me out again lol, Bellamy knew when Clarke was still inside the mind of Josephine when she was thought dead and part of the primes and I think Clarke will realize the same thing about Bellamy. Bellamy is just playing Cadogan and trying to figure a way to save his people. So we are suggesting that it was a simulation as the memory aspect does not compute there. Levitt realized he was still alive when everyone thought he was dead, so they run the simulation on him, make him go through trials and is left with a believer to essentially climb a mountain, skip to the vision and he's In the room with his mom. I know he started to cry and it was emotional, BUT we know echo beat the simulation and it can be realized that a simulation is in progress, faking and having nefarious plans still while completing and succeeding. I really do believe Bellamy noticed something about his mom that did not add up to him and all of his memories of her telling him octavia is his responsibility and to not be afraid. I believe that he consciously knows that it was not real from that moment with her. I just felt something off about his mother being in that room and saying to go to the light. she used to say to hide in the darkness.i believe that he realzies this and this starts that ruse of the double cross, playing into Cadogans plan or idea, yet he is planning on saving the group and his people. so to the twist of him betraying Clarke and the gang, he wants to learn more from bill and he wants to plan to double cross the double cross. another point strengthening the simulation, in the room with Levitt the other disciple seem to be questioning the repercussions of the group after the incident and Anders death, almost as if she was wondered if revenge was being taken. the fact that doucett helped Bellamy achieve enlightenment and lure him to the Shepard's cause really didn't sit right with me, the group have technically killed dozens of disciples and it has been mentioned in the back of convos that they do seek revenge they just haven't because Clarke it the key. I really think this going sucks this is the last go for the 100. only a handful more to go. great vid again great theories. thank you as always cheers
Thanks for the kind words, but to what you said, to risk them getting screwed or possibly killed before he knows anything would be extremely stupid of him. I just think at this point he is brainwashed, he just needs a wake up call.
Hey tbh everyone is wrong with theories technically until the episode comes out and becomes reality. Just glad we humans can just chat about it and opinions and still enjoy the show ! it's possible that it was planed cause conductor and Anders gave each other "a look" back then, and "cave of the ascend" is tech of some kind most likely, Bill may have known about the Flame, cause Nylah told him about Kalliope PramFleimkepa, and it's all about finding a balance between narrow view and seeing a bigger picture: Bell and Clarke&co- too narrow, Bill- too wide..Heda is still a winner in being balanced in between, and Lexa is THE queen of that balance, and Kane was on the right track, same as Indra is..
I have noticed some errors in your theory. From my understanding time moves at the same speed on Bardo and Etherea. A few month have passed for Octavia and Bellamy since "Bellamys death" near the portal. The memory loss is just a thing when you travel from and to skyring, because time is so accelerated there. I think Bellamy choose to join the Sheperd, because he thinks it is the right thing to do. I dont think it was a Simulation.
Most likely, the dude ate a scorpio, he was starving and freezing, enough reasons to get a powerful "mystical" experience. The shappard cause that was all he was hearing, +the book , his mom due to guilt, the light the mystery, + some alien tech might have been involved. Bellamy loyalty's were always toward his ideas, feelings and values, those changed due to his breakdown and isolation. Either way we are speculating on someone's fiction and that's harder to deduce then reality. We will soon find out.
A lot of shit still does not add up. How did he see that vision, is the Shepherd really that powerful, are we now believing he is a God? How did he see the shepherd in his exact current state, bigger beard, etc. when he has never met him? I can keep poking holes into the idea you are proposing but I will agree on one thing, it is possible that part of it was not a simulation, but some parts had to be.
Another question is, isn't jumping in to the anomaly every second is years passed? But how did he jump and get there at the same time? He took a deep moment before jumping thats years makes no sense
@@WhattheGeek Bill Cadogan visited the cave on Etherea before Bellamy. I assume he established contact with the transcended beings. He was considered worthy by the beings, as well as Bellamy and the Conductor. So Bill has a connection to those beings which allowed him to appear in that cave in his current status as a vision of Bellamy.
When you're months after months alone living in a cave with another who is more optimistic because (douchette) believes in the Sheperd. Bellamy was about to break his own spirit by forcing himself to chase his ego to the top to return to his friends... That's why he almost died, and B also understands, and respects, WHY douchette saved him, like B saved him in the beginning... B saved him because he needed Douchette... Now Douchette saves B just because of his lightness of his believes... B wants that as well, more pure ways of thinking... Letting his sufferage go, by letting his love for his friends go, ... Like douchette said, love isn't the problem, but HOW you love that is. The theory that Bellamy's trip was a simulation could be true. The theory that Levitt is planning this entire thing in the shadows could also be true. Maybe some combination he (Levitt) uses Bellamy and Octavia; there is so much more about Levitt than we are let believed on. The "Last War" will be seen as the battle against Sheiheda when they discover they (Bardo) need him for his memories... Or they need Madi because of her memories, but is a captive of Sheiheda... I believe S-heda will be able to disable the 'invisible cloak' ability of the second dawn, and that's where the 'Last War' will take place (Sanctum). In the end they'll do that "test". And see some late on twists that we weren't expecting, or is was early on seen as some speculation theory that didn't had much support to go on. We'll see, like you said before, these "beings" will test humanity, humanity will "ascend" by giving their past back without the apocalypses... PLUS, EMORI IS PREGNANT :-) I'm still holding on to it mate, I want to bet that this (small) theory will have it's role to play in certain situations... Probabely to just kill of a pregnant Emori to give John that push he needs to do something to fulfill that mission... Not 10 minutes later we will see the "new timeline" with Emori, John and their child living in the 'real world, new reality'. THIS is how they could adapt the pregnant Emori into the story. Niki said few episodes back "is it the palace that's given this glow...", the comforting of Madi and several other smaller indications... Enough to support that Emori is pregnant, even so, some of us were waiting on it for so long now... Same for Bellamy and Echo, or some other characters of importance...

I don't know on what basis you conclude that time on Bardo flows slower. Octavia, Echo and Diyoza spent three months in training after Bellamy disappeared. Bellamy first treated that guy for about a week, they spent more than two months in a cave on the mountain. In total, it could be about three months.
Actually in the end he said something about stopping counting after the second month in the cave, you don't say you stopped counting when you have been there for 2.5 months. Besides this beard does not grow in 3 months no matter how fast your hair growth is, there is a limit to how fast it could grow. Also there is the distance from the black hole that impacts it all, unless both of them are at precisely the same distance, like not an inch extra, then they should have lost their memories going in or coming out according to the rules established by the series.

Bellamy said "I am affraid" before he jumped. It's probably because of Octavia he jumped, not because he believes 100% in Bill, he believes him a bit I think. Or it's just that he acts to, does everything to go back, go back to Octavia. Even if that means believing Bill
Either way it proves he believes. I am afraid but I will jump because of my beliefs. I am not afraid so I will jump because my beliefs take the fear away.
14, exactly that indeed! That sounds so much more logic than anything ;) It was probabaly, after Bellamy prayed, a simulation. Just like Anders was able to "enter" one persons simulation like he did with Dyosa when he "killed" her baby. Just like that Bill "entered" Bellamy's simulation en talked to him. Thats also why Bill has the same clothes on when Bellamy sees him on Bardo. If it was a memory or something from Bellamy, Bill would have different clothes Bellamy Brainwashed :( But increddible made episode, wow!

Yepe I was told, in all cases it works both ways: 1. He is not afraid: Then his belief in Cadogan strengthened him. 2. He is afraid: Makes it even worse, because that means he will ignore the fear in his head because of his belief in Cadogan.
I didn't think the flame was destroyed though, didn't it get buried when clarke buried her mother's ring by the tree? Which means they still have some leverage?
It got buried by gaia in S7E3, and looking back didn't raven just some how remove Sheidheda from the flame by uploading his Data? so the flame was not destroyed as far as I'm aware!
You guys forget just how smart Bill Cadogan actually is, he plotted that whole system, and rested for YEARSS while it played out. Not even surprised Bellamy’s alive, not even surprised Clark doesn’t have the flame.
This episode kinda reminded me of Book 4. If it keeps mirroring it.. then I think that Bellamy really does believe in the shepard but he will eventually snap out of it and be the one to kill him (Or decide his fate).
I dont know the exact parameters, but they definitely set Bellamy up. Back when Octavia said she'd help as long as they sent him back to Sanctum, why didn't he get blown to Sanctum when they opened the portal then? Somethings up.
True! Maybe he didn't go back to Santum, because the stone was shut down? Doesn't explain how the code was entered, then just went to another/wrong place. Can't remember who entered the code, but maybe they entered the code for 'simulation'? They have said there was so much the stone could do, and they had figured out how to harness some of them..... so many possibilities, just "Hope" it's not a let down. So many ways it could go wrong haha.
I don't think the stone in Sanctum was shutdown, I think it is just deactivated from its side, if someone activates a portal to Sanctum it should technically open up again. The it was shutdown assumption is still just an assumption IMO.
Exactly why would the soldier blow himself up “for the shepherd” no one asked him to do that. They specifically brought Bellamy to that world and wanted him alive. Subduing him was not going to be a problem. They waited until Octavia was there to witness his death - for its impact on her and so he’d know she was alive and he needed to survive to rescue her. They made a a mistake though because Octavia warned Bellamy that this was all about Clarke. I believe Bellamy told on Clarke so that The Shepherd would trust him. For all we know he’s already told the conductor about the flame being destroyed. They were in the snow cave for over 10 months alone.
Haha, I know!!! And M.C. Martin, you make my point even stronger. They would believe it 100% and they know before and after they were in one. Imagine if Bellamy was in one without knowing, he would totally submit.
This the only season of the 100 where i really needed to take other's reviews.. Coz in each episode i got lost.. Of course they are doing this on purpose. But honnestly i have no theory.
Okay so after those first three questionable episodes, this season has definitely picked up and has been satisfying. They seem to be tying things together pretty well, i hope it doesn't all fall apart. Love this theory, the memory retention is definitely a red flag. Also, the whole climb-the-mountain, pray-and-the-storm-goes-away, the Mr-Burns-I-Bring-You-Love-beings-of-light and basically the whole thing they had to go through was very on the nose, so I hope it was a simulation, otherwise it's a little bit - well, unbelievable.
Also, where is Gaia?? She's probably on the actual other planet, since she's not on sky ring, Sanctum, Bardo, Etherea, or the planet they keep their dead, and the last planet of the 6 was earth with a deactivated stone

She might have to kill her conductor and find her escape out of Etherea on her own.
I see similarities between the idea of purgatory and this show now.. quite interesting. Look back at season 3, when they denounce the City of Light and the punishments are a lot like Christianity. Jason's last name is Jewish. I love this season, seems like it's going to be wrapped up in a nice little bow.
I don't know if I call it purgatory , but yes I think the series will end with a crazy ending that wraps up the story in one final nice bow... Up until this episode I thought the Shepard was kinda crazy.... Now I think they made this episode along with Bellamy's transformation into a disciple to show how everything the Shepard aka Bill has been saying is true , and Bellamy has realized that there is more to life than Fighting and trying to survive , and that the show will end with some crazy happy where somehow the "transcendence" is real and we see the human race transcend into immortal beings . I think this is how it will all end

But transcendence cannot mean changing the past, becoming immortal, or anything like that. In my opinion, time will tell us if you're correct :).
I am certain too it is gonna end well Dennis and yeah it works with the idea of Purgatory, not necessarily hell, I mean a series like LOST created a similar concept with a place where you just need to find everyone you cared for on a mission to finding yourself and that is when you would end up finding yourself heading to where you belong, in that case it was a version of Heaven or happily ever after.
Hey there, first time viewer of any of your content, it came up first because I wanted to see if anyone gave an in depth discussion on this episode! I’m excited to watch your previous reviews! My first thoughts when he kneeled in front of “my Sheppard” was “OMG what if it was a simulation like, black mirror style!” And then remembering the simulations of echo, Octavia, and Hope, it all seems very plausible! HOWEVER!!!! I would be really bummed out if that journey entirely had been a simulation. But the way you described it, the way they tried it one way with team Octavia, and then a different approach with Bellamy, it makes me really sad that it was a simulation. Because if you remove the aspect of the cult/religion/spiritual belief/“Sheppard” from the episode, then it could REALLY have been a personal journey to enlightenment and I would NOT believe that it was a simulation. But if Bill was only worshipped as a leader to his people, and not as a god, then I would 100 percent believe that Bellamy HAD transcended, maybe not FULLY, but in an advanced meditative state in close proximity to anomaly-like light/energy. I really hope that Etherea DOES exist and that it opens the door to a higher consciousness, and that he WAS seeing his mother in that state of heightened conscientiousness, because that would mean that the answers they have all been searching for (whether they knew it or not) and that maybe the “final war” for mankind is maybe the war is something that happens inside each persons mind, and is not an actual physical war with fighting and killing, but a war of the heart. I know this comment is getting too long now, just wanted to type out these thoughts as they come, and I JUST watched the episode, so while it’s still fresh in my mind, just bear with me a minute, because another line that stuck out to me was what the conductor said, something along the lines of “not sacrificing a few for the many” - which was the opposite of what the Clarke/kane/Thelonius ideology has had as a running theme with the series. That line stuck out to me, because it’s just like what Monty had been wanting for them, to be better than the way they were raised and adapted to for survival. Maybe if it WASN’T a simulation, then whatever happened was a true shift in Bellamy’s previous perception of life and of love and of selfishness. Maybe Bill is like the Primes 2.0 -OR- maybe, just maybe, he USED to be that way, before, on earth, when Ego was still guiding him, but then he experienced a shift in himself the same way Bellamy did and he wrote his book after he went through that transcendence, and that it changed him. Clarke and Co. are skeptical because of all of their previous experiences with other humans (mount weather, ice nation, other grounders, the first Allie, the Primes, etc) which closed them off from trusting anything that strangers like the Band of Bardo Bros. But maybe, just MAYBE, these are finally people who AREN’T full of shit, and that they really HAVE found their larger purpose in the universe. Ok my thoughts are fully out, I hope, and if anyone is still reading this far, than I appreciate you taking the time to hear my random thoughts ❤️ I’d love to see more theories deeper into the possibilities of transcendence.
Hi Lila, thanks for your kind words. It is my pleasure to read your comments :) I agree with you the journey was brilliant, but if the journey were to be true then Cadogan is truly a God. Like I said though, there are two options, the journey was real and parts of it were fake, so possibly they got the same equipment on the other side, in Etherea, there is a team watching, they go in give him the visions, the stuff they want him to see and they wrap it up and put him back where he was sleeping or whatever. Etherea does exist, I am not arguing against it, I am arguing against what Bellamy saw in Etherea or the visions that the Shepherd gave him.

If you’ve ever known or known of people (plenty in history) who believe they had a vision, they are unshakeable in their interpretation of what was revealed to them. They discount everyone’s thoughts, opinions and beliefs because those people don’t know what ‘they know’. Bellamy has shown a tendency to trust fully in his assessment of things and he’s very much into polarity - it’s either all of this or all of that, nothing in-between. Take a person like that, who now believes the secret of life has been revealed to them and you’ve got either a monster or a saint.
Totally agreed it´s a simulation, the Sheppard my ass, he let her kids die on earth and also his wife he doesn't care about saving all, he jus egocentric andt cares about being right!!!!! And I'm 100% sure madi is the key because she has the memory of all commanders, and she's being drawing them for some time....that why they are putting Clark on the machine next episode.
Bellamy did, in fact, go to Etherea because Octavia remembers the explosion and Bellamy vanishing. This means that Bellamy actually was in Etherea. I don't remember anyone stating that time in Etherea runs faster, but if that's true, then Bellamy definetely should not remember his time in Etherea, which points to him being in a simulation. Now, if time runs faster there, then he was brought back to Bardo at some point and put in a simulation. If time does not run faster, he went through it all just like we saw
If you notice I said he was definitely pushed through the portal, I am talking about what happens after he was pushed. For time to move the same as Bardo, Etherea should be at all times in its rotation at the same distance at the very same moment from the black hole as Bardo is. It is kind of difficult to have them run at exactly the same time and especially at all times.
@@WhattheGeek Just to be clear, I was agreeing with your 2nd theory... And I didn't say it is the same time, it could be that time on Bardo runs faster than in Etherea. But again, Doucette would have lost his memory in Etherea. So it probably means what you said: Bellamy was in Etherea for some time and then brought back to Bardo, put in a simulation where he experienced his remaining journey "on Etherea". Btw, time dilation due to a gravitational field gets way too weak the farther you are from the black hole center because of the inverse square law so if Bardo and Etherea are as close as Earth and Mars, it could be that time dilation from one to the other isn't noticeable (but I don't believe that's the case, this is just a note)
I think he didn't lose his memories, because the time on Etherea and Bardo are running identically fast, Bellamy said that he stopped counting days after two months, and given that they didn't have enough food, they couldn't have been there more than three months, which is exactly the time that had passed on Bardo corresponding with Octavia, Echo, Dioza and Hope's training
The idea of it being identical requires a ton of stars to align, like they need to be at the exact same distance from the blackhole, exact same, their orbits have to be at the same distance all the way through, etc. Furthermore do you really believe Cadogan is a God? Also he stopped counting days after two months and they did not have enough food from the get go, when he first tried to get out and into the snow, that is why Bellamy wanted to go for it? Do you think his beard would grow this big in 3 months? Do you think someone would say they stopped counting after two months because just another month has passed? What I am trying to say is you are looking at 1/10 of the picture.
Honestly your Theory sounds so good!! And I believe it. But can we talk about how easy it is for Bellamy to follow war leaders. Like damn I thought he would have learned his lesson after Pike, but I guess not.
Well it is not easy, this is psychology 101. Put him in a situation where he is in so much hardship and then give him what he would think is a miracle and baam, he believes.
The fact that we already found out, in the last episode, that the "Sheppard" does not truly understand the message (how he misinterpreted the word war) makes this episode redundant. If he was so powerful, he would not have made such a huge mistake. It seems that this episode should've been before the previous episode.
Well it is not redundant, it is not like we have been believing in his Godliness all along. The episode is about Bellamy and how he ends up on the side of the Shepherd not about the grace and the glory of the Shepherd.
@@WhattheGeek I see what you mean, but there are a couple things about this that does not make sense to me, like Bellamy's group not telling him about the Sheppard's misinterpretation, it seems like that would've been the first thing they told him to argue against his belief, which brings up another issue: Suspension of Disbelief: I'm surprised that the writers expected us to believe that Bellamy (or any of The 100) would be so gullible to believe in the Sheppard only because he seen that vision of his mother and what happened on the mountain. Unless they purposely WANT VIEWERS TO KNOW THAT THERE'S NO WAY HE WOULD BE TRICKED SO EASILY, but, that seems too subtle, and there's not much to support that they are trying to convey that. We DO know that Bellamy is unaware of how the Sheppard's people can simulate things in someone's mind to make it seem real, but that alone is not a good enough reason to make me believe that Bellamy would be so gullible, with everything that we know about Bellamy, like the fact that he knows about simulated environments, like the City of Light. On the flip side, there's also nothing that gives us reason to believe (not even a hint) that Bellamy is feigning his belief in the Sheppard. Bellamy's belief just seems out of place and odd.
I think it was a simulation.. like the whole planet is a simulation. The Shepard was waiting for them. And it’s not a coincidence that he was there right as they returned.
My theory is that Bellamy was on a simulation after he got kidnapped and he was uncosconscious and made up a scene of an explosion. While also Octavia and Doucete got hooked up with that machine at the same time. I mean, come on. Why would a disciple army detonates a grenade while his leaders Anders and conductor is near to him.
Honestly, I just keep waiting for the season to get better and it's just not happening. I feel like the Bardo and Sanctum storyline should've been connected by now. I am sure that will probably happen after the next episode as I have a feeling the Cadogan and the disciples will now be after Madi once they have finished with Clark's memories. I just feel like the connection should've been made already. They gave us a bunch of filler episodes and tbh a lot of stuff could've fit into one episode. Now it's like everything will be rushed into to these last 5 episodes. I dont see how they will tie up the main characters arcs in a way that doesnt seem rushed. At this point the finale is bound to be a mess.

I definitely get why you think Sheidheda is his son tbh it would make his storyline make sense because I dont see his relevance right now. However, the timeline they have us doesnt add up to me

I did not read any comments on the episode, I watch and I review after. I try to avoid actually reading theories and thoughts or otherwise I could end up being influenced, but you can throw me a link if you don't mind.
Okay looked it up, he posted his article yesterday, I posted this after the review, so I did not read his and I am sure I am such a small UA-camr he probably came up with it on his own and did not notice my video.
I finally noticed a clue that helps to prove what Bellamy witnessed on the mountain was simulated, and mostly, WHY The Sheppard would go to extremes to do this, to make Bellamy a believer: A few episodes ago, when Hope, Echo, and Gabriel arrived on the prison planet (Skyring/Planet Beta/Penance), Hope said something to Echo like, "What is it about Bellamy that makes otherwise sensible women willing to die for him?". The Sheppard knows that people believe in and trust Bellamy (especially Clark), since he seen into their minds with that machine, so he assumes that if he can make Bellamy a believer, the others will follow along. But, that is not going to work.
There is also the fact that in the early episodes Bellamy was dragged by an invisible force. They wanted to take him for a purpose. And I don't know what it means but you mentioned poison. Before praying, B ate a scorpio(?)
They literally had to break bellamy to make him believe in the shepherd but i dont think bellamy will betray his friends to the point of killing them. He’ll probably do better with this new found believe

From a tactical stand point, it makes sense to send him somewhere were it's safe and he would be isolated. After they defuse the situation, they may want to pick him up without much trouble. Octavia was not cooperating and even if she was, they might want more minds to explore to gather info.
He wouldn't necessarily lose his memory. Clarke and the others travelled from Sanctum to Nakara and then to Bardo without helmets and they didn't lose their memory.
Also....in the scene where it shows Bellamy's supposed death...when octavia tells anders to open the bridge and send him back to sanctum and she'll tell him everything he wants to know. Why did anders open it for etherea then? Without a helmet to pick the planets they have to put in an individual code for each planet. So anders did not intend for him to go back to sanctum. I agree that it was a sim and he was on Bardo the whole time being that fact that his memory of his new belief found on etherea was not forgotten upon returning to bardo without a helmet.

Maybe, but he hasn't been that strong in the past to actually stand up to others. More of a do it behind their back, while smiling.... so yea maybe hahaha. He normally would let others in on his plan though, or get their help so will have to see how it unfolds.

As soon as Bellamy saw his mom my first thought went to the episode where Monty saw his mom. Something about that scene....just makes me think this was all planned even before they went into the portal. I agree with the hunger games theory. His character development has been....interesting. They chose him because they saw in Octavia’s memory how naive he is and how he blindly followed Pike. Turned his back on his sister once, they believe he’ll do it twice.
I really, really like this theory about episode11 from Season Seven of (THE 100) show series, and it is because it makes a certain amount of sense to me. Now I can imagine that there might be a place on a planet that is setup with allot of highly advanced technology; That is designed to be used to confuse someone, and manipulate situations as the best way to getting people to think what they see is real in certain places, along with what they feel is real when it isn’t in certain places, and to add I can imagine that the technology could have a third ability that is to go into any person’s mind while they are asleep to better confuse & trick the person as well. In addition so that way in the end they will think the way the cult Leader known as (The Shepherd) wanted them to think in a precious way without that the person realizing that they have been manipulated, and tricked into thinking the way he (The SHEPHERD) thinks.
I think this was all the Shepard plan all long let me take you back when Bellamy came to try to save his sister. The shepherd ( bill ) was the one to put the code in the stone because he knew what Bellamy was capable of so it was a test and he successfully fell for it but I hope he’s doing an act just like Echo did
One thing that doesnt really make sense is the fact that even though he spent 2+ months barely eating he obviously isnt malnourished. After two months of only eating insects you would have a multitude of conditions like weakness, dizziness, confusion, organ failure; therefore there is no way he would be able to climb a mountain than jump of said mountain and once he lands the first thing he does is jumping up and hugging the guy who was with him. Another thing that I find fishy is that they immediately took him to see his people: they didnt give him time to rest or change, why would they do that??
@@WhattheGeek opening scene Bellamy on his stomach kinda curled he looks and sees bill and the conductor it just seems like he woke up.you see bill and the conductor standing smiling and standing next to each other and how did the conductor know that Bellamy would follow.bellamy told the conductor we would have to climb back down but the conductor seemed to know the best way was to jump
What's kinda crazy to me is that while the entire story in season 6 and 7 took place many thousands of years have passed back on earth. Like, who knows how that planet looks like now?
@@WhattheGeek Sanctum is closer to a black hole than skyring, that's why time passes slower on sanctum. But skyring is still closer to the black hole than earth (earth isn't influenced by any black hole) so time passes even quicker compared to sanctum. A few hours on sanctum are more than 100 years on skyring so on earth it's at least more than that. And they spend at the very least a month on sanctum which means a few thousand years on earth
And being brainwashed by the wrong person, this time though the brainwashing was clever enough to avoid getting hit in the face by him having learnt from his mistakes.
Yeah I rewatched with subs and it was afraid rather than not afraid. Works both ways though actually. If he is afraid then he jumped because of fake faith and if he was not afraid then it was the faith strengthening him, I mean you can make the same argument on both ends of the continuum.
What the Geek yeah that’s true. I’m just glad to get back to the sanctum story. At first it was kinda boring for me but now it’s getting better. I’m glad that the story is moving now instead of having Clarke in the same room for three episodes.

@@Kamina1 Bellamy went from believing in what he could prove in the beginning. Through the journey & the vision of his mother, believing and praying to Bill Cadogen as his shepherd. During the journey to the top of the mountain where the space stone was he was at a very low point to kowtow to Bill. That's how brain washing works.
Plus in Bellamy’s “vision” Bill is in his bardo uniform which I thought was weird because Bellamy never saw or knew him like that

Speakjng of the flame... From Becca/Callie we know that the flame will save and protect itself by crawling out of fire as well as swimming out of water when the host is dead or something like that. So could there be a possibility that the flame saved itself from being destroyed by backing up its content onto Madi and that's the reason she's having and drawing the memories of the commanders. Could Madi literally be the flame/key without even knowing it?
That's a really good theory. And it also would bring the rest of Wonkru and Madi to Bardo.

Becca said she created the flame to amplify what's already there. She believed that in the right mind it can do a lot of good so I think that if the flame wanted to protect itself from being destroyed Madi would be the one that it chooses and not Sheidheda.

I think they would have realized it was not destroyed after pulling it out of Madi. Besides with its destruction Sheiheda escaped into the system leading to him being in Russel now. If you think about it, the memories might have survived and all others did the same escaping the flame before destruction.
Technically anything can be destroyed, it is a matter of it can't be easily destroyed that's all.
By default, by this theory, couldn't that possibly mean that Russel/Sheidheda is the flame now? Because technically, he's the only one showing outward signs of any of the Commander(s) still existing.
when he thanked pike for his survival skills, it brought back memories of him siding with the villian and going against his friends. Bellamy cannot be trusted he is so weak minded.

Bellamy grew from that experience with Pike, he was still a young YOUNG adult who had gone through the trauma of mr weather and he had demons that he TRULY grew from while they were in the sky for 6 years. I don’t think his mind is that fragile. He was pretty strong to uncover Clarke being alive still and getting her to Gabriel. He was strong in character when he didn’t murder any of the primes and accepted that there was another way. Even Octavia forgave Pike after coming out of the anomaly, and she changed from the inside, and stopped being all Red-Queeny 😬. Just my opinion though. I need to rewatch this season again. ❤️

@@m.c.martin No when Octavia comes out of the anomaly at first, last season, Gabriel gives her some hallucinogen, and she enters her mind to battle her demons/guilt/regrets/trauma, and Pike appears to her, and she also sees her former self as red queen, and then she saves Pike's life (in her hallucination) from her own Red self. To me, that was her letting go of the resentment she carried ever since Lincoln (I still cry thinking about Lincoln) So that is what I meant by she forgave Pike...
What you were missing was when Bellamy came the shepherd welcome him with open arms. As if he already knew that Bellamy was changed. I believe the island was real but it was set up to get people to believe in the shepherd. The light in the cave is somehow related to a power source that is responsible for the weather, hologram and simulation. Even the portal back was a test. It's about having faith in the shepherd that allows you to jump which is the final test
of course the instructions were in the little pocket bible....hahahah
And as if he was waiting, knowing he would come at this exact point in time.
The main reason why I think it was a Simulation was that he didn't lose his memory. If he didn't lose it going to Etherea, then he would definitely lose it on the way back.

Remember you only lose your memory when jumping to a slower time dilated planet if Echo Octavia and the diyozas were there on Bardo for about the same time as Bellamy was here meaning the times are the same

I do think he is actually brainwashed to the Shepherd’s bidding but the Bellamy we know and love is still buried down deep inside there no one is ever too far gone. Why I think he is brainwashed is because they won’t repeat what they did with Echo and the rest of them too repetitive. It seems this betrayal will leave huge affects on all of our characters more specifically Octavia, Echo, and Clarke

I think it was planned because Anders would have had to consciously know he was typing the code to Etherea and not Sanctum-even though he was supposedly supposed to enter the sanctum code
Yeah, too many inconsistencies to make this have been done purposely. I think what we're going to see though is them going back to Sanctum to get the broken mind drive to try to fix it to use here, but in doing so Sheiheda will end up killing them and then as a last-ditch we're probably going to see Clarke enter the code in a symbolic move of her pulling the lever. Though now all we're missing Gaia like where is she? Is she where Becca was?
Etherea does seem like it's designed to give people a religious experience. He passes out and he wakes up in a big cave with a picture that's from more than three centuries ago and he finds glowing statues and after one prayer the snow melts and it's sunny

Some additional information that adds to your theory. The conductor's name was Doucette. This is French for: Who is of a very sweet character, or who simulates the sweet. And, let's not forget, a conductor, by definition, controls the performance. So, yeah, I think you are right. If not, the writers are going down a weird religious hole - and I'm not onboard with that.
Yeah and doucette isn't a word we ever use, and it's not a common name either, so they had to search for it.

It's a complete 4 season series that was loosely based on the film, but absolutely, unbelievably AMAZING. Lost was my number one favorite series of all time, but since 12 monkeys, they are both super high as top faves, but 12 monkeys has a more generally LOVED ending by anyone who's watched it. I highly recommend that one to you!

I think Belamy is genuinely brain washed, though when he sees Clarke in the m-cap machine, he sees her radio calls to him when they were on the ring. She probably confesses her love to him which brings the whole Belarke theory to a loop. Either that or Belamy realises everything they have been through and snaps out of it and just plays them all.
In the preview you can see Belamy in the room while Clarke is in the machine, he didn't have to be there but he is.

Clarke and Bellamy are obviously not the leaders we knew from past seasons. Octavia emerges as the smart leader of her people here. Even Hope, Echo, and Diyoza are smarter than these two dummies. Octavia and Echo will save them all.
Clarke was kind of stupid for telling Bellamy so casually and in the presence of the disciples. He had obviously been through extreme physical and mental duress, and with knowledge of the disciples manipulation tactics, it should have been obvious to not reveal any information until they are private and secure. Otherwise, I hope that after the finale everyone can peacefully coexist, including the disciples or even the bardoans, assuming they still exist in some form. I also would like to know what happened to eligius 3, although it is not pertinent to the story.

christen dsouza, But the freezing temperatures would have made the pain in his leg more unbearable though. Plus they were climbing up a mountain using unstable footholds for hours where the Conductor would have been forced to put his full weight onto his broken leg which usually takes between three to six months to fully heal and even then, you need physical therapy afterward to get the muscles to full strength. And why did Bellamy have a walking stick but not the Conductor? Shouldn’t the injured party use it? I found that to be very odd. But cool thing about Mike Tyson! I didn’t know that. He must be one strong determined dude or he was just high as a kite on pain meds 😂
@@christendsouza5845 Not only weird, but absolutely unrealistic. Even a minor fracture in the leg bone takes up to 2 months to heal under ideal conditions.
In the extreme cold and lack of proper bandages, nourishment, etc., he would not have been able to walk, let alone climb the way he did.
Of course you have a good point here, but they could have manipulated the experience at the point of their return, and made their appearance match it in all ways.

Ok to add to this, in the beginning of the episode we see that the conductor (Doucette) is badly hurt - his leg is broken with the bone just sticking out of his skin, now a small fracture would take 1-2 months to heal but a open compound fracture like what Doucette had would take several months to heal but we see him putting his full weight on it in what that can be no more than a week later. Even Bellamy is surprised, he asks how it was possible but there was no elaboration.

Bellamy tends to act lik he's not afraid the whole episode he had his own strong will that slowly changed. by that point he let go of his emotional strength and faced the fact that he is truly afraid of whats next and fear is what drives the faith. They say fear and faith go hand and hand. Him sayin he's afraid was the final test. Havin fear of the unknown with a guidance of faith that says you will be ok is what made him jump

Can't help but feel his lack of reaction to the news was because he was just pretending that he wanted Clarke for the key... that way it made her think she had something to barter with, and not rush straight to violence like she has in the past.
Clarke has always acted like she wants peace (much like her mother), yet she will hurt those she loves just to do what she believes is right. They both have a pretty long list of things they have done to "save those they love". They have even taught Madi to be like that, its only now that Masi is away from them both and has John, Emori, and Jackson looking after her that you can start to see her healthily working through things and putting in the work.

I actually read next week's synopsis and by the sound of thing's everyone is back at sanctum, it says there's a new problem they have to deal with or something along these lines.

I think Levitt as I mentioned before has a double agenda, or at least he has some doubts about the cause and he is about to get to the point of discovering the truth about Bill Cadogan and realizing it is all BS, the man is made out of BS.
My theroy is that this scene was important because when Levitt realized he is alive, they came after Bellamy on that planet an saved him. Bellamy ended up on the Etheria for real, but they took him most likely when he passed out from the storm and then put him into the simulation instead. so when he woked up, he was already in simulation. that would explain wierd things that happened right after he woke up in the cave.
Pretty sure it’s not a simulation since Bellamy had the same clothes and he had snow in the simulation you don’t come out like that
so since they've thrown a massive twist here's mine with this weeks episode, I absolutely agree this was a simulation, I agree the twist of Bellamy at the end was out of no where, sort of. I agree there is some sort of trickery going on. but here me out again lol, Bellamy knew when Clarke was still inside the mind of Josephine when she was thought dead and part of the primes and I think Clarke will realize the same thing about Bellamy. Bellamy is just playing Cadogan and trying to figure a way to save his people.
So we are suggesting that it was a simulation as the memory aspect does not compute there. Levitt realized he was still alive when everyone thought he was dead, so they run the simulation on him, make him go through trials and is left with a believer to essentially climb a mountain, skip to the vision and he's In the room with his mom. I know he started to cry and it was emotional, BUT we know echo beat the simulation and it can be realized that a simulation is in progress, faking and having nefarious plans still while completing and succeeding. I really do believe Bellamy noticed something about his mom that did not add up to him and all of his memories of her telling him octavia is his responsibility and to not be afraid. I believe that he consciously knows that it was not real from that moment with her. I just felt something off about his mother being in that room and saying to go to the light. she used to say to hide in the darkness.i believe that he realzies this and this starts that ruse of the double cross, playing into Cadogans plan or idea, yet he is planning on saving the group and his people.
so to the twist of him betraying Clarke and the gang, he wants to learn more from bill and he wants to plan to double cross the double cross.
another point strengthening the simulation, in the room with Levitt the other disciple seem to be questioning the repercussions of the group after the incident and Anders death, almost as if she was wondered if revenge was being taken. the fact that doucett helped Bellamy achieve enlightenment and lure him to the Shepard's cause really didn't sit right with me, the group have technically killed dozens of disciples and it has been mentioned in the back of convos that they do seek revenge they just haven't because Clarke it the key. I really think this going sucks this is the last go for the 100. only a handful more to go.

it's possible that it was planed cause conductor and Anders gave each other "a look" back then, and "cave of the ascend" is tech of some kind most likely, Bill may have known about the Flame, cause Nylah told him about Kalliope PramFleimkepa, and it's all about finding a balance between narrow view and seeing a bigger picture: Bell and Clarke&co- too narrow, Bill- too wide..Heda is still a winner in being balanced in between, and Lexa is THE queen of that balance, and Kane was on the right track, same as Indra is..
Bill already knew about the flame because he wanted to take it out of Becca in the prequel backdoor pilot.

I have noticed some errors in your theory.
From my understanding time moves at the same speed on Bardo and Etherea.
A few month have passed for Octavia and Bellamy since "Bellamys death" near the portal.
The memory loss is just a thing when you travel from and to skyring, because time is so accelerated there.
I think Bellamy choose to join the Sheperd, because he thinks it is the right thing to do.
I dont think it was a Simulation.
Most likely, the dude ate a scorpio, he was starving and freezing, enough reasons to get a powerful "mystical" experience. The shappard cause that was all he was hearing, +the book , his mom due to guilt, the light the mystery, + some alien tech might have been involved. Bellamy loyalty's were always toward his ideas, feelings and values, those changed due to his breakdown and isolation. Either way we are speculating on someone's fiction and that's harder to deduce then reality. We will soon find out.

How did he see that vision, is the Shepherd really that powerful, are we now believing he is a God?
How did he see the shepherd in his exact current state, bigger beard, etc. when he has never met him?
I can keep poking holes into the idea you are proposing but I will agree on one thing, it is possible that part of it was not a simulation, but some parts had to be.
Another question is, isn't jumping in to the anomaly every second is years passed? But how did he jump and get there at the same time? He took a deep moment before jumping thats years makes no sense

He was considered worthy by the beings, as well as Bellamy and the Conductor.
So Bill has a connection to those beings which allowed him to appear in that cave in his current status as a vision of Bellamy.
When you're months after months alone living in a cave with another who is more optimistic because (douchette) believes in the Sheperd. Bellamy was about to break his own spirit by forcing himself to chase his ego to the top to return to his friends... That's why he almost died, and B also understands, and respects, WHY douchette saved him, like B saved him in the beginning... B saved him because he needed Douchette... Now Douchette saves B just because of his lightness of his believes... B wants that as well, more pure ways of thinking... Letting his sufferage go, by letting his love for his friends go, ... Like douchette said, love isn't the problem, but HOW you love that is.
The theory that Bellamy's trip was a simulation could be true.
The theory that Levitt is planning this entire thing in the shadows could also be true.
Maybe some combination he (Levitt) uses Bellamy and Octavia; there is so much more about Levitt than we are let believed on.
The "Last War" will be seen as the battle against Sheiheda when they discover they (Bardo) need him for his memories... Or they need Madi because of her memories, but is a captive of Sheiheda... I believe S-heda will be able to disable the 'invisible cloak' ability of the second dawn, and that's where the 'Last War' will take place (Sanctum). In the end they'll do that "test". And see some late on twists that we weren't expecting, or is was early on seen as some speculation theory that didn't had much support to go on.
We'll see, like you said before, these "beings" will test humanity, humanity will "ascend" by giving their past back without the apocalypses...
PLUS, EMORI IS PREGNANT :-) I'm still holding on to it mate, I want to bet that this (small) theory will have it's role to play in certain situations... Probabely to just kill of a pregnant Emori to give John that push he needs to do something to fulfill that mission... Not 10 minutes later we will see the "new timeline" with Emori, John and their child living in the 'real world, new reality'. THIS is how they could adapt the pregnant Emori into the story.
Niki said few episodes back "is it the palace that's given this glow...", the comforting of Madi and several other smaller indications... Enough to support that Emori is pregnant, even so, some of us were waiting on it for so long now... Same for Bellamy and Echo, or some other characters of importance...

Also there is the distance from the black hole that impacts it all, unless both of them are at precisely the same distance, like not an inch extra, then they should have lost their memories going in or coming out according to the rules established by the series.

It was probabaly, after Bellamy prayed, a simulation. Just like Anders was able to "enter" one persons simulation like he did with Dyosa when he "killed" her baby. Just like that Bill "entered" Bellamy's simulation en talked to him. Thats also why Bill has the same clothes on when Bellamy sees him on Bardo. If it was a memory or something from Bellamy, Bill would have different clothes

1. He is not afraid: Then his belief in Cadogan strengthened him.
2. He is afraid: Makes it even worse, because that means he will ignore the fear in his head because of his belief in Cadogan.

You guys forget just how smart Bill Cadogan actually is, he plotted that whole system, and rested for YEARSS while it played out. Not even surprised Bellamy’s alive, not even surprised Clark doesn’t have the flame.

This episode kinda reminded me of Book 4. If it keeps mirroring it.. then I think that Bellamy really does believe in the shepard but he will eventually snap out of it and be the one to kill him (Or decide his fate).

Can't remember who entered the code, but maybe they entered the code for 'simulation'? They have said there was so much the stone could do, and they had figured out how to harness some of them..... so many possibilities, just "Hope" it's not a let down. So many ways it could go wrong haha.
I don't think the stone in Sanctum was shutdown, I think it is just deactivated from its side, if someone activates a portal to Sanctum it should technically open up again. The it was shutdown assumption is still just an assumption IMO.
Exactly why would the soldier blow himself up “for the shepherd” no one asked him to do that. They specifically brought Bellamy to that world and wanted him alive. Subduing him was not going to be a problem. They waited until Octavia was there to witness his death - for its impact on her and so he’d know she was alive and he needed to survive to rescue her. They made a a mistake though because Octavia warned Bellamy that this was all about Clarke.
I believe Bellamy told on Clarke so that The Shepherd would trust him. For all we know he’s already told the conductor about the flame being destroyed. They were in the snow cave for over 10 months alone.

Okay so after those first three questionable episodes, this season has definitely picked up and has been satisfying. They seem to be tying things together pretty well, i hope it doesn't all fall apart.
Love this theory, the memory retention is definitely a red flag. Also, the whole climb-the-mountain, pray-and-the-storm-goes-away, the Mr-Burns-I-Bring-You-Love-beings-of-light and basically the whole thing they had to go through was very on the nose, so I hope it was a simulation, otherwise it's a little bit - well, unbelievable.

Also, where is Gaia?? She's probably on the actual other planet, since she's not on sky ring, Sanctum, Bardo, Etherea, or the planet they keep their dead, and the last planet of the 6 was earth with a deactivated stone

She might have to kill her conductor and find her escape out of Etherea on her own.
I see similarities between the idea of purgatory and this show now.. quite interesting. Look back at season 3, when they denounce the City of Light and the punishments are a lot like Christianity. Jason's last name is Jewish. I love this season, seems like it's going to be wrapped up in a nice little bow.
I don't know if I call it purgatory , but yes I think the series will end with a crazy ending that wraps up the story in one final nice bow... Up until this episode I thought the Shepard was kinda crazy.... Now I think they made this episode along with Bellamy's transformation into a disciple to show how everything the Shepard aka Bill has been saying is true , and Bellamy has realized that there is more to life than Fighting and trying to survive , and that the show will end with some crazy happy where somehow the "transcendence" is real and we see the human race transcend into immortal beings . I think this is how it will all end

But transcendence cannot mean changing the past, becoming immortal, or anything like that. In my opinion, time will tell us if you're correct :).
I am certain too it is gonna end well Dennis and yeah it works with the idea of Purgatory, not necessarily hell, I mean a series like LOST created a similar concept with a place where you just need to find everyone you cared for on a mission to finding yourself and that is when you would end up finding yourself heading to where you belong, in that case it was a version of Heaven or happily ever after.
Hey there, first time viewer of any of your content, it came up first because I wanted to see if anyone gave an in depth discussion on this episode! I’m excited to watch your previous reviews! My first thoughts when he kneeled in front of “my Sheppard” was “OMG what if it was a simulation like, black mirror style!” And then remembering the simulations of echo, Octavia, and Hope, it all seems very plausible! HOWEVER!!!! I would be really bummed out if that journey entirely had been a simulation. But the way you described it, the way they tried it one way with team Octavia, and then a different approach with Bellamy, it makes me really sad that it was a simulation. Because if you remove the aspect of the cult/religion/spiritual belief/“Sheppard” from the episode, then it could REALLY have been a personal journey to enlightenment and I would NOT believe that it was a simulation. But if Bill was only worshipped as a leader to his people, and not as a god, then I would 100 percent believe that Bellamy HAD transcended, maybe not FULLY, but in an advanced meditative state in close proximity to anomaly-like light/energy. I really hope that Etherea DOES exist and that it opens the door to a higher consciousness, and that he WAS seeing his mother in that state of heightened conscientiousness, because that would mean that the answers they have all been searching for (whether they knew it or not) and that maybe the “final war” for mankind is maybe the war is something that happens inside each persons mind, and is not an actual physical war with fighting and killing, but a war of the heart. I know this comment is getting too long now, just wanted to type out these thoughts as they come, and I JUST watched the episode, so while it’s still fresh in my mind, just bear with me a minute, because another line that stuck out to me was what the conductor said, something along the lines of “not sacrificing a few for the many” - which was the opposite of what the Clarke/kane/Thelonius ideology has had as a running theme with the series. That line stuck out to me, because it’s just like what Monty had been wanting for them, to be better than the way they were raised and adapted to for survival. Maybe if it WASN’T a simulation, then whatever happened was a true shift in Bellamy’s previous perception of life and of love and of selfishness. Maybe Bill is like the Primes 2.0 -OR- maybe, just maybe, he USED to be that way, before, on earth, when Ego was still guiding him, but then he experienced a shift in himself the same way Bellamy did and he wrote his book after he went through that transcendence, and that it changed him. Clarke and Co. are skeptical because of all of their previous experiences with other humans (mount weather, ice nation, other grounders, the first Allie, the Primes, etc) which closed them off from trusting anything that strangers like the Band of Bardo Bros. But maybe, just MAYBE, these are finally people who AREN’T full of shit, and that they really HAVE found their larger purpose in the universe. Ok my thoughts are fully out, I hope, and if anyone is still reading this far, than I appreciate you taking the time to hear my random thoughts ❤️ I’d love to see more theories deeper into the possibilities of transcendence.

I agree with you the journey was brilliant, but if the journey were to be true then Cadogan is truly a God. Like I said though, there are two options, the journey was real and parts of it were fake, so possibly they got the same equipment on the other side, in Etherea, there is a team watching, they go in give him the visions, the stuff they want him to see and they wrap it up and put him back where he was sleeping or whatever.
Etherea does exist, I am not arguing against it, I am arguing against what Bellamy saw in Etherea or the visions that the Shepherd gave him.

If you’ve ever known or known of people (plenty in history) who believe they had a vision, they are unshakeable in their interpretation of what was revealed to them. They discount everyone’s thoughts, opinions and beliefs because those people don’t know what ‘they know’. Bellamy has shown a tendency to trust fully in his assessment of things and he’s very much into polarity - it’s either all of this or all of that, nothing in-between. Take a person like that, who now believes the secret of life has been revealed to them and you’ve got either a monster or a saint.
With Bellamy it is more of a saint working for a monster.

And I'm 100% sure madi is the key because she has the memory of all commanders, and she's being drawing them for some time....that why they are putting Clark on the machine next episode.

Bellamy did, in fact, go to Etherea because Octavia remembers the explosion and Bellamy vanishing. This means that Bellamy actually was in Etherea. I don't remember anyone stating that time in Etherea runs faster, but if that's true, then Bellamy definetely should not remember his time in Etherea, which points to him being in a simulation. Now, if time runs faster there, then he was brought back to Bardo at some point and put in a simulation. If time does not run faster, he went through it all just like we saw
If you notice I said he was definitely pushed through the portal, I am talking about what happens after he was pushed.
For time to move the same as Bardo, Etherea should be at all times in its rotation at the same distance at the very same moment from the black hole as Bardo is. It is kind of difficult to have them run at exactly the same time and especially at all times.
@@WhattheGeek Just to be clear, I was agreeing with your 2nd theory... And I didn't say it is the same time, it could be that time on Bardo runs faster than in Etherea. But again, Doucette would have lost his memory in Etherea. So it probably means what you said: Bellamy was in Etherea for some time and then brought back to Bardo, put in a simulation where he experienced his remaining journey "on Etherea". Btw, time dilation due to a gravitational field gets way too weak the farther you are from the black hole center because of the inverse square law so if Bardo and Etherea are as close as Earth and Mars, it could be that time dilation from one to the other isn't noticeable (but I don't believe that's the case, this is just a note)
My theory is that Gaia might even be kept by those creatures in another “Cave of Ascend” all this time. Wouldn’t that be possible?

I think he didn't lose his memories, because the time on Etherea and Bardo are running identically fast, Bellamy said that he stopped counting days after two months, and given that they didn't have enough food, they couldn't have been there more than three months, which is exactly the time that had passed on Bardo corresponding with Octavia, Echo, Dioza and Hope's training
The idea of it being identical requires a ton of stars to align, like they need to be at the exact same distance from the blackhole, exact same, their orbits have to be at the same distance all the way through, etc.
Furthermore do you really believe Cadogan is a God?

The fact that we already found out, in the last episode, that the "Sheppard" does not truly understand the message (how he misinterpreted the word war) makes this episode redundant. If he was so powerful, he would not have made such a huge mistake. It seems that this episode should've been before the previous episode.
Well it is not redundant, it is not like we have been believing in his Godliness all along. The episode is about Bellamy and how he ends up on the side of the Shepherd not about the grace and the glory of the Shepherd.
@@WhattheGeek I see what you mean, but there are a couple things about this that does not make sense to me, like Bellamy's group not telling him about the Sheppard's misinterpretation, it seems like that would've been the first thing they told him to argue against his belief, which brings up another issue: Suspension of Disbelief: I'm surprised that the writers expected us to believe that Bellamy (or any of The 100) would be so gullible to believe in the Sheppard only because he seen that vision of his mother and what happened on the mountain. Unless they purposely WANT VIEWERS TO KNOW THAT THERE'S NO WAY HE WOULD BE TRICKED SO EASILY, but, that seems too subtle, and there's not much to support that they are trying to convey that. We DO know that Bellamy is unaware of how the Sheppard's people can simulate things in someone's mind to make it seem real, but that alone is not a good enough reason to make me believe that Bellamy would be so gullible, with everything that we know about Bellamy, like the fact that he knows about simulated environments, like the City of Light. On the flip side, there's also nothing that gives us reason to believe (not even a hint) that Bellamy is feigning his belief in the Sheppard. Bellamy's belief just seems out of place and odd.

Honestly, I just keep waiting for the season to get better and it's just not happening. I feel like the Bardo and Sanctum storyline should've been connected by now. I am sure that will probably happen after the next episode as I have a feeling the Cadogan and the disciples will now be after Madi once they have finished with Clark's memories. I just feel like the connection should've been made already. They gave us a bunch of filler episodes and tbh a lot of stuff could've fit into one episode. Now it's like everything will be rushed into to these last 5 episodes. I dont see how they will tie up the main characters arcs in a way that doesnt seem rushed. At this point the finale is bound to be a mess.
i feel the same in some regards, they've opened to many arcs, and now there's just 5 episodes left to wrap it up.

I finally noticed a clue that helps to prove what Bellamy witnessed on the mountain was simulated, and mostly, WHY The Sheppard would go to extremes to do this, to make Bellamy a believer: A few episodes ago, when Hope, Echo, and Gabriel arrived on the prison planet (Skyring/Planet Beta/Penance), Hope said something to Echo like, "What is it about Bellamy that makes otherwise sensible women willing to die for him?". The Sheppard knows that people believe in and trust Bellamy (especially Clark), since he seen into their minds with that machine, so he assumes that if he can make Bellamy a believer, the others will follow along. But, that is not going to work.
Yeah that is a good motivation to target Bellamy.
There is also the fact that in the early episodes Bellamy was dragged by an invisible force. They wanted to take him for a purpose.

From a tactical stand point, it makes sense to send him somewhere were it's safe and he would be isolated. After they defuse the situation, they may want to pick him up without much trouble. Octavia was not cooperating and even if she was, they might want more minds to explore to gather info.
Well it might be, but part had to be a simulation, the vision with Bellamy without his beard had to be one.
He wouldn't necessarily lose his memory. Clarke and the others travelled from Sanctum to Nakara and then to Bardo without helmets and they didn't lose their memory.
Time on Nakara moved faster so they shouldn't lose them and time in Bardo moves even faster so they shouldn't lose it either.
Also....in the scene where it shows Bellamy's supposed death...when octavia tells anders to open the bridge and send him back to sanctum and she'll tell him everything he wants to know. Why did anders open it for etherea then? Without a helmet to pick the planets they have to put in an individual code for each planet. So anders did not intend for him to go back to sanctum. I agree that it was a sim and he was on Bardo the whole time being that fact that his memory of his new belief found on etherea was not forgotten upon returning to bardo without a helmet.

Maybe, but he hasn't been that strong in the past to actually stand up to others. More of a do it behind their back, while smiling.... so yea maybe hahaha. He normally would let others in on his plan though, or get their help so will have to see how it unfolds.

As soon as Bellamy saw his mom my first thought went to the episode where Monty saw his mom. Something about that scene....just makes me think this was all planned even before they went into the portal. I agree with the hunger games theory. His character development has been....interesting. They chose him because they saw in Octavia’s memory how naive he is and how he blindly followed Pike. Turned his back on his sister once, they believe he’ll do it twice.

I really, really like this theory about episode11 from Season Seven of (THE 100) show series, and it is because it makes a certain amount of sense to me.
Now I can imagine that there might be a place on a planet that is setup with allot of highly advanced technology; That is designed to be used to confuse someone, and manipulate situations as the best way to getting people to think what they see is real in certain places, along with what they feel is real when it isn’t in certain places, and to add I can imagine that the technology could have a third ability that is to go into any person’s mind while they are asleep to better confuse & trick the person as well.
In addition so that way in the end they will think the way the cult Leader known as (The Shepherd) wanted them to think in a precious way without that the person realizing that they have been manipulated, and tricked into thinking the way he (The SHEPHERD) thinks.
I can see that being the case, it was just too fake to be true.

let me take you back when Bellamy came to try to save his sister. The shepherd ( bill ) was the one to put the code in the stone because he knew what Bellamy was capable of so it was a test and he successfully fell for it but I hope he’s doing an act just like Echo did

One thing that doesnt really make sense is the fact that even though he spent 2+ months barely eating he obviously isnt malnourished. After two months of only eating insects you would have a multitude of conditions like weakness, dizziness, confusion, organ failure; therefore there is no way he would be able to climb a mountain than jump of said mountain and once he lands the first thing he does is jumping up and hugging the guy who was with him. Another thing that I find fishy is that they immediately took him to see his people: they didnt give him time to rest or change, why would they do that??
Which leads back to simulation.
Kinda strange it seemed like Bellamy woke up and find it kinda weird the bill was standing there with the conductor

@@WhattheGeek Sanctum is closer to a black hole than skyring, that's why time passes slower on sanctum. But skyring is still closer to the black hole than earth (earth isn't influenced by any black hole) so time passes even quicker compared to sanctum.
A few hours on sanctum are more than 100 years on skyring so on earth it's at least more than that. And they spend at the very least a month on sanctum which means a few thousand years on earth
I hope in the prequel series we find out what hatches out of those eggs hahaha

Works both ways though actually. If he is afraid then he jumped because of fake faith and if he was not afraid then it was the faith strengthening him, I mean you can make the same argument on both ends of the continuum.
