Bom Dia, I recognize the pool!!! My father had taught me to respect enjoying the water, breaths, float and some tricks. But my first swim lesson certificate was earned here, signed by our coach. This is Lajes Officers Pool. The high chain link fence had poles and canopy and covered the view into the pool where officers and family relaxed. The street was very close to the fence when I was six years old in1960. The certificate said something about permission to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean. Funny flop video, thanks much.
It kinda hurts because you’re not breaking the water in a concentrated point, so the feeling is kind of slamming against a solid object, but at that height, not that painful.
My high school had a better contest we did the flop off the high dive. I won at 230lbs by flopping perfectly parallel to the water, the sound that was made could be compared to clapping two planks of wood together.
