    I didn't think that digging up random farm plots out in the world was a thing anymore. I just get clay soil. Digging up the ones that you have placed does return the plot.

      You are right! I just did some testing. While you can use farm plots that exist out in the world, you can't actually pick them up. I'm certain you used to be able to do it. I should've tested this out instead of just placing down my own blocks! I'll add a message to the video. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it :)

      @dorin9185 I'm still learning to edit videos! So it might take me a while to edit out my mistake. I've pinned your comment so others can see it and I've added some info to the description. Thanks again for pointing this out :) I appreciate it

    Here's a neat tip i learned. If there is an active vending machine in an area, jump on top of it while fighting zombies. They cant reach you, the vending machine is indestructible and when they attack the vending machine...they get electrocuted. 😎👍

      I have spent literally thousands of hours in 7 days, and I had no idea this was a thing. I'm going to give it a try. Awesome tip!

    Salvaging for forged steel: Military ammo crates, Streetlights, Chandeliers, infested chaches (the container itself), fuel pumps and more all have a chance to yield forged Steel when salvaged.
    There's a lot of blocks that can be salvaged for steel, experiment around and in your next playthrough, you should end up with more steel than usual in the early game if you really put your mind into it

    Vultures attack if you are wounded. Desert is filled with cacti. Run into a cactus for a little bit of damage and wait for the buzzards to swoop down and help you complete some challenges.

    An easier way to get charcoal is to harvest the glowing remains of fires in the burnt forest.

    This tip (4:00) reminded me of a headslap moment I had recently. I flew down to a desert city looking for one of the larger Savage Country POIs. After circling the city a few times, I gave up and decided to land to check out a Crack-a-Book. When I returned to my gyro after looting the bookstore, I discovered that I had landed in the street right in front of one of the Savage Country POIs I had been looking for 😂

    There’s no point in using bars to protect your crops. Unless you’re in a multiplayer server, just have your farm outside your base… on the ground. There’s no reason vultures will attack them lol they only attack them if they’re above where you are on horde night. They’re trying to get to you… I’ve always just had my farm like 100 meters away from my base. Never had an issue. I also like to have mine in the ground, not sitting on top. So I can also just drive over it, and don’t have to worry about zombies deciding to hit the plots because they’re stupid.

    • @GameRetainer-0
      @GameRetainer-0  4 дні тому

      That's all very true! I like to keep my farm onto of my base. Probably not the smartest idea, but I like having easy access to it :)

      @ I play on console, so it’s just something I’ve always done. I used to use a white picket fence to surround it (back when you just had to hoe the ground) because for some reason it was impenetrable for zombies 😂 but I also remember waaaaaaay back when just walking into a crop destroyed it…. Man this game has changed so much, but still felt the same.

      @@Nathan35077 I saw a video not long ago showing the original version of the game. It really has come a long way! I'm on PC, so I'm tempted to revert back to one of the old versions for old time sake

      @ I see a lot of UA-camrs (especially before the new console edition) play the “console version” but they always played alpha 15. But that’s not how the console version worked. It was never a direct port. The version we had previously was actually alpha 14 but with traders. That was the only A15 thing they gave us. So it wasn’t entirely accurate. Also, we NEVER had cash as an item. Like old cash. Never had it until now. Idk why. But it’s definitely worth going back and playing atleast some older version. Do a full play through on your own, as doing it for UA-cam it would probably only get views for a couple episodes at best.

      @@Nathan35077 I was thinking about giving an older version a go for a video or two. Prior to summer this year, I had only ever played 7 Days on console. I had been jumping on and off the game for a few years. When I made the switch to PC (pre 1.0), I couldn't believe the difference.
      While I do love the new version, I do miss collecting empty jars and hoarding turds!

    Going through the larger Savage Countries, I have found anywhere from 6 to 13 legendary parts.

    Regarding skill mags leveling lockpicking will boost Forge Ahead and only Forge Ahead allowing you to get your crafting stations up quicker than if you level Advanced Engineering which boosts 4 different skill mags. Thanks for the content.

    what version you playing? Cause completely updated my dude doesn't get hot or cold in any environment they took that away with the new armor packages. I don't even know why we have cooling mesh and blanket liner mods anymore I just sell them. Or is my game screwed up?

      and I found "Grace" at 2 different industrial style pig farms (alot of concrete, iron and fenced pens) scared the crap out of me the 1st time, I'd never seen that creature and she snuck up on me. But the 2nd hog processing plant I went to I was more leveled up and ready and went straight for her

    • @GameRetainer-0
      @GameRetainer-0  3 дні тому +1

      Yeah. Provided you are wearing some type of armor, hot and cold weather doesn't really have an effect, making weather mods pretty pointless.
      As for Grace, you are right! She can be found at a few locations. However, the location mentioned in the video is her original home, so I figured it was the best one to mention. But I should've probably mentioned the other locations too :)

    Title is missleading and clickbaity. One would say vid shows things that are mostly unknown or rare to spot, title suggests its for players who know the game, but these are absolute basics only fresh new player would not know. Man wth.

    • @GameRetainer-0
      @GameRetainer-0  4 дні тому

      Unfortunately, naming a video 'things that you might already know' probably won't get many views. I did try to include a healthy mix of tips, but going forward, I'll try coming up with less clickbaity titles. Thanks for your comment 👍
