Beautifully simple video! One thing worth noting is that slow drying will help preserve the more volatile terpenes. This is basically taking the oil molecules and binding them to the maltodextrin, and then breaking apart the maltodextrin mechanically.
6:26 You started with just under 400mg in a single tbsp, so I'm gonna round it up for simplicity. Since you started with a 400mg/Tbsp tincture and diluted it with ⅓ cup(5.33tbsp) maltodextrin you had a total of 6.33tbsp infused material. After drying, I'm sure it's a little less, but keeping it simple and using 400mg/6.33tbsp means the potency is about 63.1mg/tbsp, 21mg/tsp, or 4.2mg/ml
@@HelloHigh Hey! Ok so I tried this method but when it dried and I broke it up, it turned into a soft glob 😑😩🥴😂😂. Idk what happens but again, I followed ur steps and was all excited to try it and got nothing 😂😂. Help!!
I've been on a similar edible grind as you; trying to learn a bunch of new stuff. You're awesome sis!! Absolutely love your content- you always inspire new ideas, no fail!
How much maltodextrin have you added into recipes without noticing a texture or taste difference? I'd love to infuse with water-soluble powder whenever possible but idk on the taste! Any other powders? I've read lecithin can work, as well as dextrose (and sugar kindaaaa works, but you still get a little film). It's difficult to find info without trial and error lol
Great video. I'm new to your channel. Suggestion for people worried about sugar spikes. Can you make a video using Acacia Fiber Powder as your powder substitute. They use this to make MCT oil powder and its the same process you are doing. It won't spike your sugar..
Yes, that's way to much heat. At 362°F, approximately 29.3% of the THC converts to CBN. At 320°F, approximately 9% of the THC converts to CBN. So she's losing about 14% THC. If anything is made with that powder, it's going to give you a "couch lock", sleepy high.
So really there is no point in the oil method. Cuz you can add the tincture method to food too. The presence of the oil messes up the solubility. The tincture method, after the alcohol is gone is just maltodextrin and cannabis resin. But the tincture method is a game changer.
I think the oil method is stronger and is good when adding to a hot sauce like spaghetti. The tincture method is definitely the better option for beverages! Thanks for watching😊
I made this with an ethanol tincture the other day. The first time I tried it, it mixed perfectly. Any time after that it’s just not dissolving fully and there’s chunks floating. The powder is also very sticky and isn’t staying very powdery. Could I have messed something up?
Try drying it in the oven again and adding a desiccant packet to it when storing. starches and sugars love collecting water and that will mess with things

Using a mortar and pestle will help break up the chunks and make a finer powder.
I combine everything in a mixing bowl first, then spread on the foil!! Cleaner, and everything coats fully!!

Question. My powder turned to paste as soon as I added tincture. What did I do wrong?
other videos people have said the specific plant source of the maltodextrin is important; ie, tapioca, corn, etc
Need to try this now. Thanks.
Thank you for the informative video fellow cannabis enthusiast ^_^ much appreciated and much love ✌💚🌱🌿🌲🌳💚✌
It makes me wonder if you could use it to preserve it or something...... idk probably not like that but
Also by chance what’s your strain?
I need one of those tcheck devices
Help! I just did this same recipe with organic malt and as soon as the alcohol tincture touched the powder it turned to basically a rock.
Thank you 🧡 you are awesome 👑🏆
Can I use sunflower lecithin powder and hash tincture instead?
Great vid
Can we use maltodextrin or is in necessary to use tapioca maltodextrin?
Same thing 😊
if you use lecithin in with the oil infusion you won't get that oil film when you add the powder to the liquid
🔥🔥🔥gonna try this
Could u skip the sifter part by just putting powder into a nutri bullet or something instead?
