I've owned a pair of red Orlebar Brown swim trunks for three years and get compliments everytime I wear them. Even folks who aren't stylishly minded point out how great they fit and how they enjoy the side tabs. Worth every penny! Once another one of my trunks get worn through I'm replacing with an identical pair in navy.
1. Feather Adjustable Double Edge Razor and razorblades - For environment-friendly shaving 2. Garmin Fenix 5s - Best tool for runners and triathletes 3. Audio Technica LP120 - For playing records
I washed my ear buds in their case then a cycle in the dryer, after I found them I put them in a bag of rice since they still had some moisture. After a couple of days I charged them and still work. Only thing that doesn’t work is the light on the case. This was 8 months ago on a pair about 2 years old at the time of the event.
Alot of my friends do not understand why I spend so much on Allen Edmonds. The shoes are just timeless and look so good. They are crazy comfortable and can be recrafted, you could have them for a life time if you take good care of them.
I'm not too sure about that air buds thing. The only thing kind of good about that is I can put that in my ear at work and have my hair cover it and they can't tell I'm listening to music.
A good leather motorcycle jacket.. if you ride a motorcycle. I always wanted a leather jacket, but never felt like it fit my personality or vibe, but I love how they looked. Also, a nice quality jacket always seemed to be more than how much I wanted to spend on one with how often I would actually wear it. I ended up taking a motorcycle safety class for $50 with a friend, just for the sake of learning something new. I ended up really enjoying it and got a bike. I eventually ended up getting a leather motorcycle jacket with crash pads for about $500, less than many quality leather jackets. It's very stylish, has a function, and fits my body well (5'6", 140 lbs). I ride almost every day now, weather permitting. If you're about my size and looking for a nice leather motorcycle jacket, I would highly recommend REV'IT's Stewart Air Jacket.
I was so surprised when you showcased shampoo and conditioner! Didn't expect it, but my first thought was you have FANTASTIC hair in this video. I tried to do the same, but it wasn't as great, so I cut it all off. Next time, I'll try a better shamp n cond.
I'm the proud owner of a few nice watches; pocket watches, a 1950s Hamilton, a 1960s auto Energmatic, WWII era Elgin. But hands down the most complimented is my Casio "square." A hardy watch for the price and it looks great even on my little Houdini wrists!
Quality always usurps quantity and that I can attest to I’ve bought things. That I couldn’t wear because they’ve ripped or torn or worn down it may cost a bit for quality but the wears you get out of it are worth it
Another great video, Brock. Your videos are always of high quality and class. I'd still like to see the front length of your hair with no product and it all brushed forward. Keep up the great haur growth! Peace!
Awesome topic and great suggestions. Some are new to me, but most I totally agree with. If you have other tips, I’d like to see you do a small series of high quality product suggestions.
Hey, Brock. Has your skincare routine changed from the last time you made a video about it? I can't remember the last time I saw you with a blemish or patch of acne. Whatever you're doing with your skincare, same or different, it seems to be working well. Thanks for all the quality content!
The biggest thing that made a difference for me is adapalene (Differen gel). For some reason, it's the only active ingredient that really works consistently for my skin.
I use 19$ earbuds with a wire behind the neck and I would never buy some without the wire. I hate people walking around with those earpods hanging in their ear all day, you never know if you can talk to them or not. When I don't listen to anything, I just let them hang around my neck and there's no chance of ever losing them. They are real in-ears too, so they have a good noise reduction and better bass and they last for hours.
I got Exofficio quick dry underwear and they are EXCELLENT. I tried knock offs before buying them and the knockoffs just gave me rashes. Im probably never gonna get rid of my Exofficios and, if anything, i would just re-buy them.
Quality Cologne CAN also be in the same regard. For example, let’s say you walk into Sephora and buy Dior Sauvage EDP 100Ml for $120usd Alternatively, you could go for Grand Soir by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. $175 for 70ml (seems pretty steep) the fragrance will easily last 2x as long with half the sprays... and smells phenomenal. This doesn’t work will all high end fragrances. But some do, and it’s genuinely worth it. Your stepping up into a realm of much higher end products & ingredients and while that does have its cost justification, great performance from these better materials can almost negate the price inflation.
I am into the Apple ecosystem but I purchased a Jabra elite 65t over an AirPod. Totally no regrets. It is as portable as the AirPod, pairs easily, better fit, IP56, a bit longer in battery life and sounds way better. In addition, it looks so much better.
The best quality items are often Expensive, but never overpriced! Considering amount or wears and how they can make you feel. Thanks for the top tips modest man.
I have iems (SSP Moondrop), watercolor (Paul rubens), leather backpack, a tab S4, a dog (which is super cost efficient cause adoption is free), rubber gloves (saves my hands), sunglases and crocs (for hospital work). I want leather repetto-style ballerina flats, a good umbrella, rainboots, quality socks, a tea set and a good knife. Also, good quality brown dress shoes for work and eletric toothbrush if I can afford it. Not super expensive, but quality. Edit: some of those are even buget, but for me... expensive.
You're probably one of the lucky ones whose ears can fit airpods perfectly. I (and many others) find airpods to fall out of my ears when doing anything more physically demanding than a slow walk. I can recommend airpods for those who are using apple products (and don't care about fit or sound quality) because of the ecosystem and it's ease of connection, but if you're not using apple products, please do your research first. There are a lot of earbuds out there that are cheaper, with better battery, better sounding, better fit, better mic, better quality and/or more portable. And if you don't care about having original products, there are airpod clones (with the wireless charging case) out there that are near perfect copies for less than $50. The original costs $200. Makes you think how much of a mark-up they put on it..
I’ve owned Custo t-shirts for 25 years. Chanel and Balmain pieces for similar lengths of time. I think I’m going to be saying the same about Orlebar Brown pieces.
Nah bro, I have Airpods and the Powerbeat Pros and the Beats are so much better. The airpods have a shorter battery, cost more and are always falling out when I exercise.
I never liked how airpods look in the ears, Id expect more from a style channel . Just kidding though, I may disagree sometimes but the content is great.
Your not quite right about Rolex... Some go up in value yes, but oyster Ps, datejusts. They don't hold their value, but Submariners, explorers most certainly do. You also imply that Literately no other watch brands increase in value. Ever heard of Patek Phillipe or JLC or Vacheron constantin? Even some omegas increase in value like speedys...
Please, consult your dentist before transitioning to an electric toothbrush. If a manual toothbrush has worked fine for years and you've had no major dental problems, why would you suddenly change to an electric toothbrush. Ask your dentist if your brushing technique is correct and if you would benefit from using an electric toothbrush. If you're already using a manual toothbrush incorrectly, an electric toothbrush likely won't solve whatever problem you're having. My dentist has actually stopped recommending electric toothbrushes since he noticed many of his patients developing receding gums/abraded roots after transitioning to an electric brush. Of course this is anecdotal, but it makes sense if the patients are pressing too hard/using the incorrect bristle hardness. If you're already brushing effectively at least twice a day and flossing at least once a day, why spend upwards of 50 bucks on a brush + bristle tips when a pack of 7 soft bristled manual brushes will last you for years to come?
I’m not much of an audiophile. I use a Bose Bluetooth in the living room, but mostly using headphones or car stereo for music. I had a whole set up at one point with Denon receiver and Sony surround, but I don’t even have TV anymore 🤷🏻♂️
I’ll recommend that if you don’t have an iPhone do not buy an AirPod, for the magic of the AirPods to appear it has to be pared with an iPhone. If you have an android phone I think the smarter thing to buy is the Sony’s true wireless with active noise cancelation. Another good option is the samsung galaxy buds. PS: if you have an iPhone but you dont like the AirPods’s fit you can buy the beats true wireless an have the same magic experience
I disagree. I've use airpods exclusively with my Android phone and they work great. They can act as soon as I open them, I never have any hixc6. The only feature I don't get that I sort of wish I had is when you pull the earbud out and it pauses the music. But double-tapping works and you get used to doing that if you need to. The microphone quality on calls can't be beat and that's my main reason for always sticking with airpods. I'm on conference calls a lot, and no other Bluetooth headphones seem to be able to match the mic quality
HAHAHA, I paused right when you said you Apple comment, wrote a rant and before I posted it I was like " let me hear him out for a couple more seconds". good video my guy
Top two would be Custom Half-Hand VBC Super 150’s Suit from Chalk Mark Style and Allen Edmonds Strand in Walnut (that was my first pair of Allen Edmonds now up to 7 pairs 🤓).
Awesome video, as always! I think you’re channel is the highest quality men’s style channel on UA-cam right now. It seems like you choose the sponsor to fit the video, and not the video to fit the sponsor. Fun fact: a BMW 3 series is considered a jerk car (something all the jerks drive) in Europe, but a high end luxury car in America...
I'm a big fan of efficiency. And I recently bought the Urban Carvers Titanium Breakaway key rings. $50-$60 seems like a lot for a key ring breakaway, but the quality and confidence that it's not gonna drop off your belt is worth it.
Here are a couple of my slightly more expensive - but worth it - purchases. 1. Kicks. Once I started running I went to a local running store and they were able to examine my run mechanics and put me in the most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned (Brooks Adrenaline). Upgrading from $55 dollar chain store brand name sneakers to something in the $100-$150 range has been a game-changer for my feet (and I can still find those higher-priced kicks on sale when they clear out last year's version). 2. Related to #1 - running socks (Balega). Again, what a difference. $10-$15 a pair, but my feet feel SO much better during and after a run. 3. Sunglasses. Had Lasik 15 years ago and was finally able to buy nice sunglasses. I have a pair of Costas and Maui Jims and love them both. Love the lenses especially. I've never found a cheap pair of sunglasses where the lenses weren't awful.
My problem is that the Apple AirPods are too big for my ears and then traditional earbuds that go in the air with the little interchangeable rubber size pieces hurt my ear canal/uncomfortable l so I’m not sure what to do. I guess the only option is over the ear? I haven’t tried the wired Apple EarPods so maybe that’s a good compromise. The original EarPods that came with the iPod when it first came out in the circular shape tend to not stay in my ear and just fall out loosely. Ideas?
These products may be worth the money but they’re not necessary. I get just as much enjoyment from my €25 Sennheiser earphones than I did from apple ear pods.
Another item that is totally worth the money is an ordinary pair of scissors. For your hair. To cut it with. Just teasing you you man, love your videos! Keep it up!
I have bought so many good expensive things over the years. One of the latest was a pair of leather boots, pure leather, sturdy, and I'm sure they are going to last for many many years.
