OG….. can I make a suggestion????? The viewers at this point should be showing you their looks….. not Models, but your SUBSCRIBERS…. and you can start with me and I’m 52 lol. I’m doing your WORD. ✌🏿✊🏿🙏🏾.
With all due respect, there was no need to summarize this video. It’s a little distasteful in my opinion. If this was a video from another channel about the 15 life lessons you should learn by 30, that will be more appropriate to summarize. Not a style video bro.
Thank you O.G. Because of you, I am always on point with my dress I constantly get compliments for style of dress, I am 57 and I do not try to dress younger, I stay in my lane.
Style OG, I like to new addition to this list. I will be getting some rugby shirts this year. As you have said in the past. A long with a great suit, everyone need a blue blazer with a white and blue Oxford shirt. At my age I can’t rock a hoodie. Only during working out. The loafers are a must suede and leather. Salute to you for this video. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I love your videos sir, your like the father I never really had. I love my father but only for the fact that i wouldnt be here without him. You're channel is a gold mine for young black men who don't have the opportunity of getting advices like these from a proper father figure. I appreciate you!
Always on time good Sir. That shirt is proper!!! You have great insight when it comes to styling. I will be rocking revere collared polos (short and long sleeve), plaid or striped cigarette pants, chinos (at your suggestion and now I love them), Henley's and casual shoes and boots. Nice list of style essentials good Sir. I always come here to get ideas and you never fail to produce! Keep doing an awesome job...
Hey Jeff, I recently I had purchased a cardigan sweater from Abercrombie and my first Swiss watch (Raymond Weil). As far as your other items, I have most of them and my search now is a signature cologne scent.
I have a few of these staples in my wardrobe now. However, i do need to find a dope rugby shirt to rock with some jeans or chinos. Thanks OG for always helping me step my style game up. Salute
Jeff, You never seem to mention "bucks". I use to love to see my brother's is oxford bucks. The loafer is also a great shoe as a casual dress shoe with tassels. In my opinion a man needs a black, brown, as well as grey shoe. Would you please address the style and price range of both of these type of shoe;the oxford bucks and the tassel loafer. Thanks! Christina J
I was hooked, following your advice, until I saw you sporting a rugby shirt with skull & crossbones! I know it is a quality shirt , perhaps rowing blazer, but what happened to "no shirts with a logo ..unless you are at an event!?
I own chinos, they are great. Especially with nicer shirts. In those long coats i look like im wearing a dress, as a short dude they are about knee hight lol Hoodies are cool Somehow seeing your images our stules arent that much different, but the way you talk about makes it sound very different
I've had trouble getting into loufers. I don't know if it's that stigma of an older guy shoe or my wife's attitude about them or what. But I haven't been willing to buy any. I'm generally thought of as having a great "shoe game" with my sneakers and boots though. Any advice for me?
I have an extensive collection of polo rugby shirts in all styles. Classic stripes, snow challenge, big pony, country etc....about 40 total. These shirts are from the 90s and on. I swear I get compliments every single time I wear one. Just match with some nice jean, tims and its a sporty classic preppy, street og look. Covers it all. I'm not one to experiment with different brands. Nautica??? Uh notica....tommy?....uh how bout pullmyfinger.....fubu$....uh how bout FU.....I just stick with polo and the tim.....been wearing since 1975.....no shit.....compliments every day
I wear a size small. I'll give you a qualified "yes" to that question. It works as long as the following criteria are met: 1. You're a size small, rather than an XS or M. (I know that it's obvious, but somewhere in this world is a person who has made that mistake.) 2. Different brands fit differently. You need to find a brand where the small fits you well. Or you need to get the shirt and/or sweater tailored so they fit well. Provided those criteria are met, a small sweater over a small shirt will look correct without being too tight. Sweaters are generally a bit stretchy, so there's even some margin for error.
@@karlr750 Thanks for your insight truly appreciated and helped clarify things for me. Absolutely! I wear size small in all my garments except for Jackets which I prefer sizing up on for extra room and so I could layer underneath. I do workout but still have always worn small so I appreciate the feedback. I normally wear slim fit but my sweaters happen to be a straight fit instead hopefully it wont make them look baggy though despite that. I'll probably provide an update when I do recieve them but I have confidence it should all fit well. I've only worn crewneck sweaters over tshirts so I am actually pretty new to wearing dress shirts underneath a V neck or Cardigan. The hoodie under a Blazer look also intrigued me but I feel that style is more for College kids so I feel sweaters underneath are the better choice now.
@@karlr750 Much respect to you! Even though I'm not there yet I still enjoy watching some of the older channels as well such as John at 40 over fashion. You can never go wrong watching many varieties of style content. I find it all helpful no matter who uploads. I appreciate all the knowledge. Any thoughts on casual vests? I find denim ones to look a bit tacky. Maybe perhaps a Tweed would be better? I agree. Hoodies for mostly lounge wear for the most part.
@@Manuel421 , I prefer tweed vests in cold weather. I live in a warm climate, so for warm weather I like linen, linen blends, and some cotton vests. In particular, I have a cotton twill vest (in a herringbone pattern) that's about the same color as denim … but it looks a bit classier, while still falling in the smart casual to business casual spectrum. I also like watching a variety of style contributors. For vests, Gentleman's Gazette did a video on odd vests that I found very helpful (even though their look is far dressier than mine).
Along with the loafers I'd add some wingtips, driving shoes, oxfords and stick to Cole Haan or Johnston & Murphy for midrange price point shoes that last forever
Hey, contact Denzel W and teach him how to dress. That man was sloppy at the Oscars. Chris R was very sexy in that tux. He was tone and the color was right on.
I just can’t get wit the Chukka boots. To me they are ugly, and lack structure. In addition they don’t age well. The suede once dirty is never gonna look good again. I don’t care how many times you put the suede brush in them. I recommend some leather Chelsea boots instead. The chore coat is a great recommendation, but I’m not sure what a unconstructed over coat is?

What the difference Between a top coat and over coat

Who has the best fitting brand of chinos for a slim guy and that’s kinda tapered?
Salute 💪🏾
Salute!

In those long coats i look like im wearing a dress, as a short dude they are about knee hight lol
Hoodies are cool
Somehow seeing your images our stules arent that much different, but the way you talk about makes it sound very different
Great video OG but I think you missed the mark on the boots. I think if you have only one boot you need something more versatile than a chukka!
appreciate the input!
