You may start from Jakarta, then 30 minutes by fast train to Bandung (West Java). After that, continue to Yogyakarta, and the last trip to Bali or Lombok or Labuan Bajo. Have a nice trip then... 😍

Shea, I recommend you to visit Bali and Jakarta for your first time in Indonesia. Maybe 1-2 weeks.
After that you can digging cities, area or islands in Indonesia which makes you interested, from many UA-camrs or web sites.
You can explore everything in Indonesia. The land, sea, lake, beach, cave, culture, culinary, people, or just random things in Indonesia.
Did you know the fact, that Indonesian love foreigner that describe Indonesia from others perspective. Especially foreigner that love Indonesia and learn Indonesia language, it will be awesome.

I was in US for 8 years during 1993-2001 and almost travelled all over the country except Alaska. I really enjoyed it. But the US environment so organized and it did not provide heavy adrenaline for me who like adventure.
When I came back to Indonesia, I promised myself to explore Indonesia more. I had visited all provincial capital cities, but unfortunately after 20 years, I just only able to visit 20% of 600 regencies/municipalities with their attractions there. I got old and hasnt visited several famous places such as Mentawai Island, Natuna Islands, Lake Toba, Tanjung Puting, Derawan Island, Kampung Badui, Ujung Kulon, Baluran Park, Komodo Island,, Banda Island, Cartenz pyramid, and Morotai Island.
Hoping that u can visit some of those. Enjoy....

If you go to Jakarta, Indonesia you must not miss going to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur (KL) Malaysia. For Malaysia you can easily get a 90-days visa there. KL City is totally a different city....
