I am about to finish school and have to give my flute back to the place where I borrowed it. I thought „well, okay, it’s time to let some things behind” but after listening to this beautiful piece of art, I am so damn sure that I am going to buy me an affordable flute and won’t give up after 7 years of playing!

I'm trying to learn flute on my own, what does the tiny notes at measure 58 mean? (I can hear something like a slide but don't know how to reproduce it)
I have been playing the flute for nearly a decade, but I'm not a musician and sometimes it gets hard to stick with the instrument. But this piece has reminded how beautiful the flute can sound. And why I chose this fantastic instrument. And that's pretty awesome. Thanks for that!

I'm the accompanist and the piano is realy hard near the end, the jumps are sometimes hard

This is hands down one of my favourite flute pieces ever. I love how the piano and the flute have parts of equal difficulty and it explores the entire range of the flute, which is rare and really nice! I aspire to compose something as beautiful as this one day. Simply incredible.

I've been playing flute since middle school and am now in my first year at university. Since I was unable to take a music class online this semester and have never been able to afford lessons or books, I've been looking for pieces online to play for fun. Songs and videos like this help keep the love for the instrument alive and encourage me to practice even when it feels like there's no reason to. Thank you.

ACIDHaze Do they have an option in your state to submit pieces for approval? In Wisconsin, the festival list has that option, and I used it for two compositions of mine. I feel like this would for sure hit the class A category. It’s stunning and technically demanding, so I don’t see why not.

My sister plays the flute. She says she isn't good sometimes but I think that her playing is beautiful! She's a great sister and after all her practicing she'll be better and improve I'm sure. She showed me this song one time and I absolutely loved it! It's beautiful! Peices like these show me that classical music is criminally underrated and that it's a gorgeus genre. I don't really know what I'm saying anymore but yeah, this is great! :D

After 7 years of playing the flute and being involved in several orchestras and performances, I felt uninspired and only played my favorite pieces every once in a while over the next 4 years while attending college. I then stumbled upon this piece a couple days ago, and have now re-set up my practice space to play this piece (and learn more new ones!) non-stop. I have rediscovered that amazing feeling you get from playing a song you really put your feelings into, and I'm beginning to feel unbridled joy and passion again. Thank you so much Mr. Beeftink, you've earned a new admirer!

Really enjoy your music. What notation program do you use? I have mainly used Finale for 20 years, but never been able to split the top melody to the bass clef as you did. I currently upgraded to Staffpad, wonderful program but similiar issues. Me and technology are not the best of friends. I struggled to learn what I do know on my devices. Old fashioned pen and paper guy.
James M. Dumas I’m doing notation with the Sibelius program, but yes they all seem to have their own issues. I’m still using pen and paper as well.

I stumbled upon this piece a few months ago. It made me fall in love again with my flute that I haven’t touched in 5 years. I’ve actually played it together with my friend at my graduation ceremony this year, that’s how much I loved it (it’s funny actually, because coincidentally it was the last day of spring). After that people came up to us and said that this song made them tear up and have goosebumps.

It’s great that you give woodwind the expression of the human voice. Your style would easily transpose to the pop music genre with a greater depth of musicality. I’m sure you would have success working with a range of pop artists.

I've transposed the flute part to clarinet to test my skill and it is quite challenging, but i still manage. Thank you for making this song. It's very cinematic.
