    But if the stock continues to run up after your short leg closes then you would continue to make profit uncapped as you only have a call option open, correct? So ideal scenario in this case would be that your short leg expires just shy of your target price, and then you keep the long open if the price keeps climbing passed your target price?

    Thank you so much I just ran into that problem on Friday and I didn’t know what to do. So now I know that tomorrow I need to closed my buy leg since I closed the sell leg on Friday

    what happens to the short call if NFLX is at $370 after Feb expiration and you did not close the short? Will your broker close the March long call to exercise the short?

    The Blue line is not fixed on a calendar spread, so the $1100 profit is a little deceiving. The blue line starts to shrink over time. Calendars rarely work

      The blue line can actually increase if volatility increases so it depends on the volatility.
