Other clips I've seen Dr Disrespect has been pretty kind, particularly where he gave condolences to a fan who experienced the death of a loved one. Another clip was where Dr Disrespect was talking with a fan who told him he was great (he was larping as a random player), and he responded "But he's kind of a dick, right?" The fan said he just liked him either way and he entertained him. Dr Disrespect is a talented and entertaining streamer to many, not for you, obviously, but still, he's better at what he does than Phil.
Doc is doing actual fanmanagement, even indirectly inviting the guy to stick around and get some more distraction from his tragic loss. DSP basically tells the superchat guy: "Yeah, whatever."

Honestly, he's just an awesome person. Aggressive and actually entertaining. He's had plenty of moments of letting his emotions slip up. He's actually wiped tears while reading some heart felt messages. Not like the email DSP wrote himself and cried "my life has been tough".
Dr Disrespect is his internet persona character. its in the name, but when REAL stuff start showing like the tipper that tipped the Doc, he actually becomes super chill and mature about it before getting back into character.

@@MrBorisRoo I think most of the reaction differences is purely just the difference in how impactful each one is and how well someone can process emotional things like even your comment "Im depressed, you are depressed, everybody is depressed so get over it." whereas someone else who is more able to process someone being depressed might approach it completely differently like "why what's up? don't wory I'm not here to say things like 'you can always talk to me' cause no one wants to hear the same bullshit over and over, just be completely open if or when you can and I promise that I'll listen" and to be fair both are completely fine. But with any experiment for the sake of accuracy you have to provide the same starting conditions otherwise you have a false outcome like if you were to mention the whole "losing your mum to cancer" thing to DSP the gravity of his response probably would have been somewhere close to Docs. Plus in DPS's mind he may have been trying to attempt to make the donator laugh and feel better because he was playing a 'in his opinion' very annoying dumb character so his response may have been abit more thought out than what you can see anyway.

That's the difference between emotional maturity and immaturity. You don't tell someone to not be sad or depressed. You lighten the mood after giving your condolences, reminding the viewer that they're there, vibing, having fun, whatever it takes to help them disconnect from the sadness even for a little bit. Love that from Doctor Disrespect 🫶🏻
